The Plant Master Becomes A Mute Sub-Beast: Farming And Laying Eggs
Chapter 215: Alchemy Furnace and Talisman Paper
After being baptized by a series of Kaelen’s profound words, Siley gulped his saliva and asked in a low voice:
"Fathers-in-law, may I take the liberty to ask where you two ultimately come from?"
Sane laughed loudly and said in a loud voice: "It does not matter if I tell you. Actually, we come from the Southern continent. In our place, the Southern and Northern continents are connected, and we know of each other’s existence."
Siley gulped his saliva and muttered: "No wonder everyone’s cultivation method is different from ours..."
Sane nodded: "That is right, so when you come to the Southern continent later, you will understand more about our cultivation system. However, the spiritual energy in the Southern continent is too low while the Eastern continent is too abundant, which is completely mismatched with the cultivation systems of the two continent halves. It seems this is also a world law, right?"
"It is indeed so." Kaelen continued drawing on the ground: "I guessed it a long time ago. Perhaps dividing it like this is to avoid a certain faction becoming too strong, which would inevitably lead to the destruction of the world."
After Kaelen’s words, the atmosphere in the makeshift stone house sank into silence. Siley lowered his head to digest the massive amount of information, feeling his worldview over the past twenty-odd years was truly too small. No wonder the Crimson people looked at everything calmly; it turned out they came from a place with a completely different civilization and power.
"Alright, alright." Draven clapped his hands, stretched his back, and said: "There is not much time; we must successfully research the Clear Heart potion and the Lightning Guiding Talisman before the market ends."
Kaelen nodded, then turned back to ask Siley: "After we left, did that Black Bear clan beastman come to your place to retrieve the Martial weapon?"
Siley nodded: "He already came, Papa. He also tried the telepathic connection with his Martial weapon, appearing very surprised when the berserk murderous aura in the broadsword had been neutralized. I also relayed the message to him that he is allowed to report this matter to his direct leader."
Sane nodded in satisfaction: "Very good. Wait until we successfully research the Lightning Guiding talisman, then you give Dean a hint."
Kaelen muttered: "The problem is that we still have not researched those two things right now, while the market only has five days left. Could it be we really let you go act as a lightning rod?"
At this moment, Edward suddenly spoke up: "I am still thinking, could it be that the two things everyone is making are of too high a level, therefore normal forging materials cannot withstand their spiritual energy?"
Draven’s two eyes lit up: "That is right. Every time I am about to form the pill, the furnace explodes again; I could not figure out where the problem was no matter how much I thought!"
Kaelen stroked his chin: "If it is truly a material problem, then it is difficult. Among us, no one knows weapon forging..."
Nova immediately followed up: "Do not worry, there are still some items in the space that can be taken out. There are a few alchemy furnaces, there are also quite a lot of talisman drawing papers and cinnabar."
Previously, Edward had not rearranged the space; these things were all crushed underneath so Nova did not know. Now that they are rearranged, of course, they can be taken out.
"Master Edward, you should take each item out sequentially, just take them from low to high to see at what level the Heavenly Dao law limits the grade of magical artifacts."
Edward heard Nova say that and immediately searched in the room storing magical artifacts. First was a primary alchemy furnace similar to the furnace he previously took out for Draven. The law had no reaction. He took out the second furnace, the third... until the sixth furnace forged from thousand-year essence iron, then the sky began to gather dark clouds. Edward immediately threw it back.
The dark clouds dispersed, he began to take out cinnabar, ink, and talisman drawing paper again. This time, regardless of what grade it was, the Heavenly Dao law did not forbid it. Nova scratched her head in confusion:
"Why is it like this?"
Chloe answered: "Perhaps it is because they are not finished products? These three things plus the engraved array are considered a treasure, completely unlike an alchemy furnace. The alchemy furnace itself is already a magical artifact."
Kaelen nodded: "These words are not without reason; just use mid-grade talisman paper first, that way the created talismans will not be too eye-catching."
Nova whispered into Edward’s ear, Edward took out three wolf-hair brushes again. This time, when the obsidian-jade-handled brush was just brought out, the sky gathered dark clouds again. Finally, only two brushes made from spiritual wood and demonic wolf hair were usable.
Everyone then received the items, instructed the children to return to the Silver Snake tribe first to avoid the case of getting injured again, then started returning to their respective places to bury their heads in research.
Three days later, Siley led everyone to the Illusion Forest once again. The purpose was to relay the message of the Black Bear clan as well as to let Chloe perform one life energy absorption once again.
This was Chloe’s last life absorption this year; wanting to continue, they must wait until spring next year.
The process went more smoothly than any previous time. When the last green light rays dissolved into Chloe’s body, she slowly retracted her vines, her tiny figure seeming a bit taller, the leaves on her head also had a darker color. She spun a circle, her clear voice ringing in everyone’s mind:
"It succeeded! The energy this time is much purer; I feel I am about to break through to a new level!"
Finnick cheered, running over to hug his little friend tightly, the two chirped and laughed. Draven cleared his throat from behind, stepping forward with a face full of pride:
"Of course it must succeed! That healing potion bottle was personally concocted by me, one hundred percent pure, completely having no impurities!"
"But Uncle Draven." Finnick turned his head back, narrowing his eyes to smile: "Have you finished researching the Clear Heart potion? Do you intend to try it again today?"
Draven immediately stiffened. He awkwardly pulled a pale green potion bottle from his spatial bag, murmuring: "It... is also almost done. It is just that this time I have adjusted the ratio of smoke mushrooms, guaranteeing that after drinking it, one will not hiccup out smoke anymore. It is just... who dares to try it..."
Saying that, his gaze sneaked a glance towards Siley. The future son-in-law immediately shook his head vigorously, tightly hugging Oliver’s egg to his chest as if it were a protective amulet.
He pointed at the Long-Fanged Demonic Tiger:
"Let it drink it; anyway, it already has wildness in its blood, who knows, after drinking it, it might become more obedient than a cat."
The Long-Fanged Demonic Tiger immediately jumped up, roaring once towards its master, as if asking ’do you want to listen again to see what you just said?’.
Everyone burst into laughter, the atmosphere in the forest became extremely bustling and joyful.
Right at that moment, Edward was laughing but suddenly froze, Nova also faded visibly. The little mouse fell down with a thud, the Spatial Spirit always perched on the boy’s head also disappeared.
All laughter instantly fell silent. Everyone simultaneously ran over. The little mouse that was originally lying on the grass suddenly emitted a gentle orange-yellow light stream.
The boy’s body slowly hovered and flew up, countless tiny light particles appeared around, converging into a transparent sphere enveloping him. The orange-yellow fur layer gradually became transparent like crystal, revealing the tender skin inside.
"What... what is this?" Finnick panicked and intended to reach out his hand to touch it, but was stopped by Kaelen.
"Do not touch it! This is... an evolutionary crystallization?" Kaelen narrowed his eyes, utilizing his divine consciousness to probe.
Sane also stepped forward, his hand placed on his mate’s shoulder, transmitting a bit of lightning in to assist the sensing.
A moment later, the two breathed a sigh of relief together. Sane spoke in a deep voice: "There is nothing dangerous. It seems Chloe’s life energy has activated the bloodline hidden deep within the boy. He is evolving."
Draven’s eyes lit up brightly and he ran over, pulling a thick leather notebook from his spatial bag, observing while jotting down rapidly: "Evolutionary crystallization in the Mouse clan? There has never been a precedent! I need to research deeper."
Finnick asked impatiently: "Then when will he wake up? Do we need to do anything?"
Kaelen rubbed his son’s head, gently saying: "There is no need. Just let Ryder be quiet like that, when the evolution is complete, the boy will naturally wake up. Right now, the most important thing is to protect the boy safely."
Everyone immediately sat back-to-back, forming a protective circle for Ryder. Finnick and Chloe climbed up a high tree branch, observing from above, ensuring there was not a single gap for enemies to take advantage of to intrude.
Because Ryder suddenly leveled up, Edward and Nova were temporarily unable to go outside, the two of them then sat leaning against the crystal, cultivating while guarding by the side.
When Nova and Edward gradually sank deep into the cultivation state, behind them, Ryder’s spiritual body inside the large crystal stirred slightly, the boy’s yin-yang eyes cracked open for a brief moment, then closed again as if they had never been opened.
