Chapter 29: The Perfect Cultivator

Ao Kuiba had been staying in the Mini World for quite a few days now.

The amount of time passing there was significantly higher than outside.

This fact alone already made the Mini World incredibly valuable.

The formation below Ao Kuiba was continuously extracting spiritual Qi from the outside world, purifying it, and transferring it into this realm.

The Void Crystal helped it maintain the spatial structure, and the very world produced the spiritual Qi for its inhabitants.

However, Ao Kuiba had a much more meaningful reason for staying here.

The Dragon Bone.

It hovered above Ao Kuiba at a short distance.

It let out a steady stream of energy.

Ao Kuiba was taking it into his body.

His eyes were shut, his breathing even.

Inside his body, three cultivation paths twisted and turned in a harmonious dance.

This sight alone would have made most cultivators stagger in awe.

Ao Kuiba, however, was unfazed.

The first cultivation path took in the spiritual energy and refined it, adding it to his reserves in his very foundation.

The second cultivation path took the energy from the first one and added it to his own meridians, reinforcing them.

Meanwhile, the third cultivation path worked in tandem with the other two, regulating the flow of energy and ensuring that nothing interfered with the other two.

Ao Kuiba did not cycle between them, switching off between one and the next when he had enough energy.

He cultivated all three at the same time, finishing a cycle when all three reached completion.

Then, they moved on to the next.

One after another, Ao Kuiba progressed through his cultivation.

Inside Ao Kuiba’s soul space, Yun Rou silently observed.

She had already realized that Ao Kuiba was not an ordinary cultivator.

However, what she saw now made her eyes widen in surprise as she took in the sight of three cultivation paths twisting through Ao Kuiba’s body and soul.

"His body is incredible," she murmured.

Long Xuan stood behind her, silent.

His expression, however, had changed.

He closely watched the stream of Ao Kuiba’s spiritual energy, taking in the twist and turns of the three cultivation paths before he followed the flow of energy as it reached the end of the cycle and began anew.

Long Xuan understood what Ao Kuiba was doing.

Not many cultivators were able to dedicate their lives to studying cultivation like Ao Kuiba.

Even then, most only followed a single cultivation path or switched between cultivation paths multiple times in their lifetime.

Ao Kuiba, however, had accomplished something truly remarkable.

He had managed to synchronize the three cultivation paths so that they did not interfere with one another.

Long Xuan narrowed his eyes as he continued watching Ao Kuiba.

The old cultivator had never done anything like this in his lifetime.

Even with Ao Kuiba’s talent, the synchronization of the three cultivation paths was not something he had ever managed to accomplish.

Yun Rou glanced at Long Xuan’s side.

"You’ve never done this?"

Long Xuan remained silent for a moment before his eyes fell back on Ao Kuiba.

A smile suddenly appeared on his face.

Inside his heart, he silently pondered at what the little girl saw.

In fact, he thought back at what the little girl saw when he was about to die.

The little dragon that had shown up before him, its name, the path it followed, and the future that would lead it to the Dragon Bone.

Long Xuan smiled.

"That’s why I chose her, isn’t it?"

Again, Long Xuan said nothing.

He did not disturb Ao Kuiba as the young man continued cultivating.

Dragon Bone emitted another burst of energy.

This time, it was much stronger than before.

The pressure in the Mini World rose drastically.

The spiritual plants in Ao Kuiba’s garden bent under the pressure, and the Core Formation beast in the distance raised its head to look at Ao Kuiba’s direction.

Ao Kuiba, however, remained still, his body taking in the energy.

His Imperial Dragon bloodline in his body reacted to the sudden increase in power, and Ao Kuiba’s body glowed with golden light. The energy from the Dragon Bone entered his body and his foundation, and Ao Kuiba’s three cultivation paths took it in.

All three cultivation paths accelerated at the same time.

Ao Kuiba proceeded quickly through the stages of cultivation and ascension.

His Foundation Establishment cultivation rapidly rose from early stage to middle stage, then from middle to late, and then from late to the point where it could no longer proceed any further.

Ao Kuiba’s breathing stopped.

The entire Mini World went silent.

Inside Ao Kuiba’s body, his Foundation Establishment cultivation had reached the peak of its growth, unable to absorb any more spiritual energy.

However, Ao Kuiba did not stop.

All three of his cultivation paths continued, proceeding through the same cycle as before.

Ao Kuiba’s body took in the spiritual energy, and his Foundation Establishment cultivation continued to grow – but much more slowly this time.

Ao Kuiba’s body began to change, his body gradually adapting to the increased amount of spiritual energy.

The process took some time, but eventually, Ao Kuiba’s cultivation paths compressed the spiritual energy, channeling it towards the center of his cultivation.

Again, the spiritual energy was compressed, and again, it was channeled towards the center.

Ao Kuiba’s expression remained calm as his cultivation continued.

The golden eyes that had appeared in his body earlier flickered open, and his three cultivation paths synchronized perfectly.

The pressure in Ao Kuiba’s body skyrocketed, and then, in an instant, the barrier that held in his spiritual energy broke – releasing a powerful wave of spiritual energy from Ao Kuiba’s body.

The ground beneath Ao Kuiba cracked, and the formation in front of Ao Kuiba shook violently.

The spiritual energy in Ao Kuiba’s Mini World rushed outwards before being sucked back in by the formation’s power.

Ao Kuiba himself remained still.

At the center of Ao Kuiba’s cultivation, a golden core slowly formed.

It was not particularly large, and in fact, it did not have to be.

The power contained within it far exceeded Ao Kuiba’s Foundation Establishment cultivation before.

Ao Kuiba’s three cultivation paths then settled down around the newly formed core, continuing their cycle, ensuring that its growth did not stop.

Ao Kuiba had reached the Core Formation stage.

His cultivation breakthrough was complete.

Ao Kuiba gradually opened his eyes as the pressure in his body dissipated.

He took a deep breath, and his new cultivation settled down in his body.

Ao Kuiba could immediately feel the change – his spiritual energy was denser, and his body was more responsive than before.

His connection to the Mini World had also become much stronger.

Ao Kuiba looked over towards the Dragon Bone, most of whose power had already been absorbed by him.

Inside Ao Kuiba’s soul space, Long Xuan took a long look at Ao Kuiba before quietly watching the stream of spiritual energy around the Dragon Bone.

His eyes narrowed as he took in the nature of the energy.

Purple Qi from the Higher Realms.

Such Qi was incredibly potent, and the amount contained in the Dragon Bone was truly astonishing.

Even after Ao Kuiba had completed his cultivation breakthrough, the amount of Qi contained in the Dragon Bone was still massive.

Ao Kuiba appeared to sense Long Xuan’s thoughts.

He took a look at the Dragon Bone, then at the rest of the Mini World, seemingly connecting the two together.

The frown on Ao Kuiba’s face disappeared, and he even gave a small smile.

It seemed as though he had come to a conclusion.

Ao Kuiba did not say anything, however – not even a hint of what he thought.

He just stood and gazed at the Dragon Bone for a few more seconds before standing up.

Ao Kuiba was about to leave the Mini World when he heard a noise from outside.

Knock.

Knock.

Ao Kuiba paused, his eyes turning towards the entrance of his residence.

Someone was knocking on his door.

Ao Kuiba took a glance at his soul space, where Long Xuan and Yun Rou had been observing him all this time.

Long Xuan said nothing, and Ao Kuiba left the formation, returning to the real world.

Ao Kuiba’s surroundings changed – he was no longer in the Mini World, but rather, in his cultivation chamber in his residence.

Ao Kuiba made his way to the courtyard where the person knocking on his door was waiting.

Lin Yue stood there, her expression completely different from the one Ao Kuiba had last seen of her at the Violet Cloud Summit.

Ao Kuiba looked her up and down before sighing.

"Lin Yue."
