Stripped of their flesh, the Huang Shengjuns became skeletons. Their high base strength meant they were still Heavenrender undead, though they remained pure melee fighters, having inherited their previous weakness of having no techniques or skills.

Han Wu didn’t mind. Once a skeleton sea formed, even simple melee skeletons could unleash terrifying force. The disturbance drew the Huang Shengjun legion’s attention, and numerous sick soldiers dragged themselves out to fight the undead.

A Huang Shengjun at full health was Microcosm rank. However, with the viruses wreaking havoc on them, their actual combat output was barely Heavenrender rank. Their flesh-and-blood bodies also held more vulnerabilities than a skeleton, which meant the skeleton sea held every advantage.

Swathes of Huang Shengjuns fell in the first clash. Han Wu raised all the fallen with the Netherworld Jurisdiction from his hiding spot nearby. Broken bones were ground into fine sand, which shifted between skeleton forms for direct combat and weapon shapes for ambushes. The already crumbling Huang Shengjun legion couldn’t hold.

The Butcher recognized the skeleton sea tactic and knew the Huang Shengjun legion was in no condition to fight it head-on. He had no choice but to order a retreat. Life Faction and War Faction members sent other units forward to cover the withdrawal. Although the skeleton sea chewed through the reinforcement, the Huang Shengjun legion had managed to flee far out of reach, so Han Wu stopped chasing them and turned on the replacement forces instead.

The bone sand from powerful undead skeletons was constantly being reshaped into equally powerful new forms, and the skeleton sea’s momentum was nearly unstoppable.

Seeing this, the Life Faction’s members fought back with Life Domain, flooding the area with intense Life Energy to counter the skeleton sea’s death aura. The skeleton sea’s power dropped by more than half.

Just as Han Wu was about to go all out and force his way through, Jing Jing arrived. Without a word, the Skeleton Queen unleashed her own skeleton sea. It dwarfed Han Wu’s, and more importantly, her skeletons carried the soul attribute as opposed to Han Wu’s death and darkness. Life Energy didn’t affect the soul attribute, and her skeletons tore through the enemy’s layered defenses with ease.

Han Wu merged his skeleton sea into Jing Jing’s, forming an even larger tide. Tsunamis of bone crashed forward in waves, each one sweeping away massive numbers of enemy units. The Major Gods and lesser forces on the other side simply couldn’t hold.

A Life Faction Major God erupted with Life Energy and grew towering trees to block the skeleton sea temporarily. In the brief respite, he shouted, “Get word to the Life God King! We need reinforcements!”

It took mere moments for the skeletons to fell every tree and hurl the logs back at the enemy. The defense line was demolished. The Life Faction and War Faction Major Gods abandoned the fight and fled through teleportation gates.

Vast stretches of territory were reclaimed under the skeleton sea’s assault. Inside the Death Faction’s command center, the Death God King and the Wisdom God King watched the advance with satisfied smiles.

Han Wu had solved the problem they had agonized so long over. All that remained was to swallow up the Life Faction’s territory and find the Life God King. Killing the Life God King was the only way to end the divine war.

The aggressive push met fierce resistance soon after. Massive numbers of light-attribute units flooded into view.

Above them, former Light Faction Major Gods shouted, “Avenge the Light God King!”

Han Wu recognized them immediately. The former Light Faction had been pulled into this massive divine war and were evidently aware that he had killed the Light God King.

In theory, light and soul did not oppose each other, but at extreme intensity, light could actually harm souls. The scorching brilliance melted bones within the skeleton sea.

All the light-attribute units that charged forward had Purification inscriptions on their bodies. When they died, their corpses would be completely purified, leaving nothing behind. Neither Jing Jing nor Han Wu could raise anything from them.

“Someone has obviously coached these light worshipers,” Han Wu said.

Jing Jing nodded. The skeleton sea’s advance had stalled. It frustrated her enough that she wanted to charge forward and clear the path herself.

Han Wu stopped her. “I have a trump card for dealing with the old Light Faction.”

With that, he opened his divine realm, and his clone, Han Guang, stepped through.

Han Guang’s appearance brought blinding radiance. He activated the Spear of Victory, Holy Radiant Shield, Radiant God Physique, and Lumen Aura. Every effect of the Light Jurisdiction manifested on his body.

The former Light Faction members froze when they felt his familiar presence. The Light God King was dead, so who was this identical figure standing before them? Those deeply indoctrinated couldn’t help but feel their devotion stir at the sight of Han Guang’s face.

“Your Radiance, is that you?”

“His Radiance lives! He’s alive!”

Cries of joy and fervent worship erupted from the former Light Faction member. They were elated to see their God King once more.

Han Guang stared down at his faithful followers with a warm, radiant smile. Behind him, Han Wu’s core units stepped forward and activated the Light Spirit Orb, converting their physical power into light-attribute orbs for Han Guang to use.

As Han Guang’s Radiant God Physique absorbed billions upon billions of these orbs, he maintained a loving gaze at the worshipers below. At his command, his Divine Authority transformed into light arrows that filled the sky. He then unleashed the most brilliant bombardment imaginable.

The devoted followers below were slain by the very God King they worshiped. They would never understand why.
