Chapter 69: A Miracle of Healing

Just then, Igor came running back at full speed.

"Nuoya! Is Viktor all right!?"

"He... he’s breathing now... somehow... but..."

Looking more closely, Qiu Nuoya realized just how badly Viktor had been injured.

He had no idea what kind of spell Viktor had unleashed, but his robe had been torn apart and scorched in several places.

His arms and legs were rapidly turning red and swelling as though they had suffered severe burns.

"I’ll go get Lady Sherria!" Igor shouted. "If it’s her, she should be able to heal him with holy magic!"

Qiu Nuoya suddenly remembered. This was a world ruled by magic and he possessed Holy Magic himself.

The moment Qiu Nuoya cried out, all sound vanished. Silence enveloped the surroundings. Then something overflowed from within him.

A brilliant radiance spread across the area and countless sparkling lights began to fall from the sky like glowing snow.

The light expanded over an enormous area.

Hearing Viktor’s voice, Qiu Nuoya immediately turned toward him.

Viktor blinked his eyes in confusion before slowly sitting up, looking as though nothing had happened.

"Nuoya... what was that?"

"I... I don’t really know..." Qiu Nuoya’s voice trembled. "But... I’m just glad... you didn’t die..."

Tears immediately streamed down his face without stopping.

If Viktor had died, it would have been because of him. Because of Mochi. The thought of what might have happened made his blood run cold.

Seeing him sobbing uncontrollably, Viktor gave a troubled smile and gently pulled him into an embrace.

Qiu Nuoya could feel Viktor’s heartbeat.

He was alive. Thank goodness.

"Hey! Viktor! Nuoya!" Igor shouted. "What happened here!? What is all this!?"

Before either of them could answer, another voice spoke from beside Igor.

"This is nothing less than a miracle." Someone stepped gracefully down from Igor’s arms and landed before them. "It is undeniably a miracle granted by God. In that single instant, this entire land was purified, and every trace of corruption that lingered here was completely swept away."

Lady Sherria looked around with shining eyes before smiling in awe. "I consider it an honor to have witnessed such a miracle with my own eyes."

Oh no... the troublesome one showed up!

Lady Sherria approached with an expression full of emotion and knelt before Qiu Nuoya who was still in Viktor’s arms and said, "I knew it. The divine revelation I received was never mistaken. You are the Child of God destined to save our church. No, not just the church. You are the savior of this kingdom and this entire world!"

The tears that had filled Qiu Nuoya’s eyes instantly dried up. Still resting in Viktor’s arms, he silently shook his head. "No."

Lady Sherria was still saying something, but Viktor ignored her completely. He chose to listen to Qiu Nuoya instead.

"My apologies," Viktor said politely. "Nuoya is not feeling well, so we’ll be taking our leave."

With that, Viktor lifted Qiu Nuoya into his arms and swept his robe behind him. Only then did Qiu Nuoya notice something strange.

Not only had Viktor’s injuries completely disappeared, but his robe had also been perfectly restored.

Maybe it was because Qiu Nuoya had desperately wished for everything to be healed.

A gust of wind surrounded them and for a brief moment, Qiu Nuoya felt weightless, almost as though he were riding an elevator.

Then Viktor’s robe settled and the scenery around them had completely changed. They were already back inside their room.

"Huh...?" Qiu Nuoya blinked his eyes in surprise. "What...?"

"Was that your first time experiencing teleportation magic?" Viktor asked with a faint smile.

Teleportation magic?

So magic like that existed too.

Magic really was unbelievably convenient. Qiu Nuoya could not help wondering how it worked.

Was it another form of combination magic?

The more he learned about this world, the more he realized just how many kinds of magic were still waiting to be discovered.

After Viktor gently set him down, Qiu Nuoya sat on the edge of his bed and let out a long sigh. For some reason, he felt more exhausted than ever. Ever since arriving in this world, the last time he had been this drained was after the goblin incident.

"By the way..." Qiu Nuoya looked up at Viktor. "Are you really all right? Does your arm hurt? Is it difficult to breathe?"

"Me?" Viktor smiled reassuringly. "I’m perfectly fine. If anything, I feel even better than usual."

"I’m glad to hear that."
