The Only Son Amongst The Daughters Of Eros

Chapter 130 Friend Meets... Close Friend?

The arena began to empty as the crowd dispersed, the excitement of the Beast Battle fading into murmurs of conversation and laughter.

Aeric walked out of the main stadium like building with Sylver trotting beside him, and Celestia closer to his hand, moving her gaze between him and the departing audience.

As they moved toward the Royal Institution’s gates to leave, Aeric’s loyal friend descended from the stands.

He turned to his left and saw her coming down, Delva’s elegant strides carried her toward them. Her arms were at both sides like a marching soldier and her steel eyes were on Aeric but also flickering to Celestia.

She had a look on her face that was something between admiration and amusement. Aeric could see that was taunting him for his attempts to make up with Celestia.

He stopped, causing Sylver and Celestia to stop as well, and Delva arrived in front of them.

“Well done, Master Aeric,” she said, stopping before him. An unsure expression on her face. “That was a… ruthless victory.”

Aeric raised a brow. “You don’t approve of the manner in which I won?”

Delva smiled. “I did not say that, Master Aeric.”

Aeric chuckled, brushing a hand through his hair. “Well, don’t say ruthless then. I prefer decisive.”

Delva didn’t say anything but simply smiled.

“By the way, I saw you in the stands before the game started.”

Delva nodded her head. “I heard about a Beast Battle while I went to retrieve Sylver from the stables. When I learned it was between the Son of Starlight and Melina, I had to go see it.”

“You did, huh?” Aeric asked, his lips quirking into a grin. “Glad you got to see me in action.”

Delva returned the smile, her sharp features softening slightly.

But as Aeric met her gaze, he caught a flicker of Celestia’s. The Dawn princess moved her glances between Aeric and Delva, they were subtle but pointed glances, filled with curiosity — and suspicion.

‘Oh, I probably should clear things up quickly before she thinks this is something else.’

Aeric cleared his throat, breaking the moment.

“Ah, Celestia,” Aeric said, gesturing to the Daughter of Dawn. “This is Delva. She’s my royal companion and friend.”

“And Delva, this is Celestia. She’s my…” he hesitated, not knowing the word to use. “…very close friend.”

Celestia looked at him with an arched eyebrow, crossing her arms, while Delva turned to her, offering a graceful bow. “Daughter Celestia, it’s a great pleasure to meet you. Master Aeric has spoken so highly of you.”

Celestia’s eyes darted to Aeric. “He has?”

Aeric felt his confidence deflate as if someone had punctured it with a pin. “Uh… I might have mentioned you a couple of times,” he said, scratching the back of his neck.

Delva, ever the perfect picture of loyalty, chimed in, her tone light. “Oh, more than a couple, Master Aeric. He talks relentlessly of you, I would have found it tiring if it wasn’t so amusing.”

“Delva,” Aeric said, turning to her with mock severity. “Shut it.”

The corner of Delva’s mouth twitched, but she said nothing more on that subject. “Yes, Master Aeric. I will keep quiet as you wish.”

Aeric let out a sigh of relief while Celestia looked up at him with a smile and starry eyes.

Delva adjusted her posture, her expression turning professional once more. “Master Aeric, will the next destination be the Starlight Castle? Shall I prepare for our departure?”

Aeric hesitated, glancing at Celestia. She met his gaze again, and an unspoken understanding passed between them.

“No. You may go yourself in fact. Tell mother I might return later than usual.” Aeric said finally, his voice soft but resolute. “I made a promise to Celestia, and I intend to keep it.”

Delva inclined her head, but her eyes sparkled with amusement. “Understood, Master. I’ll leave you to it.” She turned, but not before a ghost of a smile crossed her lips.

Master Aeric had taken her advice about ignoring important things to give Celestia more attention, and from that nervous smile on Celestia’s face, it was clearly working.

As she walked away, Aeric sighed once more and turned to Celestia. Her lips curved into a more profound but knowing smile.

“Although I want to talk more about what you tell your royal companion when you’re talking about me,” she mused, clasping her hands behind her back. “That can be a subject for our walk. So, do we go now?”

Getting red cheeked, Aeric parted his lips to answer, but before words could leave his mouth, a voice thundered across the Institution grounds.

“Aeric of Starlight!”

The sound was like a whip crack, halting everyone in their tracks.

Aeric froze mid-step, turning slowly toward the source of the voice. Standing at the entrance door of the school was Headmistress Lysandra, her imposing figure heightened by the supposed anger she had within her.

For whatever reason.

However, she was looking very… enticing today.

Headmistress Lysandra was clad in a flowing gown of deep navy blue. This gown stretched at her hips and her thighs and a long slit, reaching as high as her waist length tore from the end.

Her hair was designed in an uncharacteristic way. More vibrant, a cascade of black streaked with silver strands, pinned back in an intricate braid, while locks fell at both sides.

Her breasts, her full heavy breasts strained under the milk-colored cotton blouse she wore. And with no cleavage exposed, it forced Aeric’s imaginations to run wide.

All her motherly and feminine features were twisted into her apparent mask of displeasure, and she had her piercing gray eyes fixed on Aeric like a hawk eyeing prey.

“Uh oh,” Aeric muttered under his breath, pretending to be worried. “Seems I’m in trouble.”

Celestia looked at the Headmistress and then at Aeric. She leaned closer, her voice low. “Do you think this about Melina?”

Aeric shook his head. “I don’t think so. Wait for me. This won’t take long.” Read the latest on empire

With that, he handed Sylver’s lead to Celestia and began walking toward the Headmistress.

“I’ll be waiting by the steps, Aeric!” Celestia yelled after him. Then she muttered silently to herself, eyes saddening. “Please show up this time.”

Seeing Aeric coming, Headmistress Lysandra ordered him to come to her office. Then she stomped into the building and up the stairs, her arms crossed, her lips pressed into a thin line.

Aeric obeyed, smiling to himself and following her up the stairs. Then he opened her door and entered inside.

There, to his half-surprise, he saw Lady Lysandra in a completely different mannerism than earlier. She was sat on the guest chair, legs crossed, her brows slanted pleadingly and redness on her cheeks showing her nervousness. seaʀᴄh thё nôᴠel Fire.nёt website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Headmistress Lysandra,” Aeric greeted, his tone playful and pretentious. “To what do I owe the honor of this… rather public summoning?”

Her eyes narrowed. “Don’t play coy with me, Aeric. You know exactly why you’re here.”

Aeric grinned, choosing to taunt with her further. “I actually don’t. Come now, do well to tell me.”

Headmistress Lysandra’s lips pressed together as she whimpered nervously. Then she looked up at him. “I spent hours dressing in a manner that would please and appease you. But, you were about to leave and you haven’t seen me all day.”

She uncrossed her legs and pushed her round chests forward. “Tell me, Son Aeric. Do you like my dress?”
