Chapter 379 - 373: Great Battle with the Electric Eel

"We’re here?"

The killer whale told her this was the place.

Yun Jiao looked down into the bottomless depths. Not even someone wearing the diving equipment Sun Yaotong had given her could dive this deep.

The sea was completely dark here.

And the temperature dropped the deeper she went.

Because of this, the shipwreck Yun Jiao was looking at was dilapidated but still intact.

With a gentle swish of her legs, Yun Jiao arrived near the massive shipwreck.

As she drew closer, she saw a number of skeletons.

Some of them were still clad in clothes.

’There are too many. A small girl like me can’t carry them all, and there isn’t an island nearby anyway.’

Just as she was thinking this, she suddenly spotted something slightly reflective and swam over.

On the neck of a skeleton dressed in what looked like a captain’s uniform, she found a pocket watch.

Inside, she found a photograph.

It was a photo of two foreigners leaning against each other, likely a husband and wife.

It was too dark at the bottom of the sea to make out their faces clearly.

A long, dark creature shot out. It was nearly three meters long, its body thicker than a grown man’s arm.

It was electricity!

The creature turned its head and lunged at her again.

The surrounding water was charged with electricity, slowing her movements considerably.

Gritting her teeth, Yun Jiao didn’t dodge this time. As the electric eel lunged, she swept her leg at it.

The numbness had sapped some of her strength, but she still managed to knock the creature away.

Yun Jiao stared at the electric eel, which was still eyeing her menacingly, and smoothed down her hair, which had frizzed up from the shock.

She was angry now!

However, she didn’t confront the electric eel head-on. Instead, she turned and fled.

The electric eel gave chase immediately.

Yun Jiao was fast, but the electric eel swam like a great python, a sight that would make anyone’s skin crawl.

She swam to the seabed, grabbed a chest she had her eye on, and heaved it at the charging eel.

She couldn’t help it. The things inside were exactly to her taste; she loved most of them.

With the very first treasure being something she loved, Yun Jiao was suddenly pumped full of adrenaline. She started by circling the area around the shipwreck.

Whenever she found a chest or something similar, she would pick it up without opening it and carry it over to where she had placed the chest of jade items.

In just one day, Yun Jiao found nine chests scattered around the shipwreck alone.

They came in various sizes. Some were buried so deep that she had to dig for a long time to get them out.

She was hungry.

Clutching her stomach, Yun Jiao gave a satisfied look at her pile of chests, then grabbed the electric eel and swam toward the surface.

When she reached the surface, the sky had grown dark, and it looked like it was about to rain.

She blew her whistle.

Before long, the killer whales arrived.

Yun Jiao climbed onto a killer whale’s back, sat cross-legged, and started to eat.

"I found a lot of stuff," she began to chat with the killer whale.

"It’s going to be a bit tricky to get it all back."

Her face clouded with worry. If only she could find a boat—not a shipwreck, of course, but a usable fishing boat.

The shipwreck was too big. No matter how strong she was, she could never tow a vessel that large.

After eating her fill, Yun Jiao stretched lazily and lay down on the killer whale’s back, letting them carry her as she drifted on the sea.
