Yun Jiao glanced at the foreigners and said in English, "Come on, let’s go see the whales."

The three foreigners instantly looked at Yun Jiao, pleasantly surprised. "Wow, little one, you actually speak English!"

Meng Hui also stared at her in surprise. ’Didn’t she just need me to translate for her a moment ago?’

Yun Jiao frowned, looking troubled. "I only know a few phrases. I can sort of understand some of it, though."

She said this to Meng Hui.

"You haven’t started school yet, right? Did you learn it from your brother?"

English was now part of the school curriculum.

Yun Jiao shook her head. "I learned it from you."

"Me?"

Yun Jiao nodded. "When you were translating for them just now, I memorized it."

The Merfolk’s natural talent for languages, combined with their incredible memory, had allowed Yun Jiao to learn to speak some English in a very short time.

And it was with a flawless British accent, no less.

After Meng Hui confirmed what she meant, his eyes widened, and he stared at Yun Jiao as if he were looking at some kind of monster.

"You mean, in just that short time, you learned a few phrases of English, and... and you can understand it now?!"

Yun Jiao scratched her head. "Is that supposed to be hard?"

’English seems so much easier to learn than Chinese,’ she thought.

The three foreigners quickly asked what was going on.

The way he looked at Yun Jiao had changed, and there was a hint of pity in his eyes.

’What a shame her family doesn’t look poor,’ he thought. ’Otherwise, if I sponsored a talent like this through her education, she could be useful to me later on.’

Yun Jiao ignored the fuss the three foreigners were making, gathered her tools, and set off for the beach with them.

The three foreigners exclaimed continuously, not forgetting to pull out their cameras and snap pictures.

Yun Jiao looked at them. "Are you just going to head over like that? Can you swim? Aren’t you worried your cameras will get ruined in the water?"

"We can all swim," said Daniel.

Eva added proudly, "I’ve even taken diving lessons."

Barry asked, "But what about the cameras?"

Zhao Hui translated their exchange, and one of the soldiers stepped forward.

"Leave them with me. I’ll go find a fisherman to rent a boat."

Everyone handed their cameras to him without hesitation—not because they trusted him implicitly, but because they were desperate to get closer to the killer whales.

It would certainly be a hassle to bring the cameras along, so they just instructed him to take good care of them.

Yun Jiao then led them into the water, swimming toward the whales.

"Don’t thrash around or make loud noises, or you’ll scare them."

Daniel stared at the killer whales in excitement. Only up close could you truly appreciate their immense size.

"My God, this is incredible."

Yun Jiao assigned a killer whale to each person.

The navy sailors, of course, each got one as well.

Two of the sailors had gone to row the boat.

Yun Jiao looked at them, puzzled. "I thought you’d been diving? Have you never encountered a killer whale?"

Meng Hui was so busy excitedly getting acquainted with the killer whale beside him that he almost forgot to translate.

He only snapped out of it when Yun Jiao called his name.

Yun Jiao repeated her question, and Meng Hui translated.

Eva explained, "The places we dive are very safe. You won’t find killer whales there."

Barry added, "We’ve seen killer whales from a yacht before, but we didn’t dare get close."

After all, killer whales were enormous and looked dangerous; it wouldn’t take much for one to capsize their yacht.

If that was true for killer whales, it was even more so for Humpback Whales.

’Fair enough,’ Yun Jiao thought.

Looking at the shrieking group, her head began to throb.

"Stop yelling and follow my lead."

She demonstrated how to climb onto a killer whale’s back.

The soldiers learned quickly. The maneuver wasn’t difficult, and their years of training had honed their ability to follow instructions to perfection.

Among the others, Eva also managed to get on quickly.

Barry, being a bit timid, was hesitant and didn’t dare to climb on.

Finally, Yun Jiao couldn’t take it anymore, swam over to him, and shoved him onto the whale’s back.

Barry lay sprawled on the killer whale’s back, a look of utter shock and disbelief on his face.

Yun Jiao replied, "Never mind that. Just hold on tight to the killer whale’s dorsal fin."

Finally, once everyone was mounted on a killer whale, Yun Jiao whistled, and the pod began to swim.

The killer whales moved at a considerable speed, but instead of being afraid, the riders were flushed with excitement.
