Yun Linhai and Shen Yunlian covered their faces. They really didn’t want to admit this stupid son was theirs.

Yun Chen Nan looked grim, utterly infuriated.

He looked at the others. "What are you laughing at? How are any of you any better? You all have plenty of problems too."

The children immediately shrank back, trying to make themselves invisible.

Yun Jiao felt a little insecure herself. ’When I start school, my math grades probably won’t be much better either.’

’But I’m not in school yet, so nothing to be afraid of.’

’Heh heh... I’ll just keep enjoying the show my brothers are putting on.’

Yun Xiaowu was so frustrated by the lecture that he was scratching his head. When Yun Chen Nan started explaining the problem, he listened attentively at first, but his eyes gradually glazed over.

Yun Chen Nan: ...

’He’s hopeless!’

Feeling guilty, Yun Linhai and Shen Yunlian quickly made their escape.

’This damn kid, how can he be so embarrassing!’

In the end, Yun Chen Nan temporarily gave up on tutoring Yun Xiaowu, deciding instead to go back and create a customized study plan just for him.

Yun Xiaowu despaired. ’Ahhh! This is so hard!’

While her brothers were going crazy over their homework, Yun Jiao, having had her fill of the spectacle, decided to head back to her room to sleep.

She first took a look at her treasures, then did some stretches.

Just before bed, she took out a small box and opened it for inspection.

Inside were the scalpels, surgical forceps, needles, thread, and other things her Fourth Senior Brother had prepared for her.

The thread was absorbable catgut suture.

After learning anatomy and suturing from her Fourth Senior Brother, she had experimented on small animals like rabbits and was now quite proficient.

’Tomorrow, I’ll go check out the area where the Conches grow.’

She woke up around five the next morning. Yun Jiao always went to bed early, so after washing her face and brushing her teeth, she felt wide awake.

"Mama, can you brush my hair?"

Her arms were short, making it a bit difficult to brush her own hair.

Shen Yunlian was in the kitchen with Wang Mei making Baozi. She heard the shout and called back.

"Hang on, I’m making Baozi."

Yun Jiao casually gathered her hair and tied it up with a hair tie, then slipped into the kitchen.

"Are we having Baozi for breakfast today?"

"Mama, let me try too."

They had prepared three types of fillings: pork, pickled greens, and a sweet sugar one.

Shen Yunlian gave her a small piece of dough. She held it in her little hands and carefully mimicked their actions, flattening it into a disk.

After a good while of struggling, a rather ugly-looking Baozi was born.

She scratched her face, too embarrassed to even put it with the other Baozi.

"Hahaha, it might not look great, but it’ll taste the same. Don’t worry about it."

Shen Yunlian said, "Give this one to your father."

Yun Jiao nodded with a grin. "Okay!"

Even though she’d made it herself, she felt a bit of disdain for it. ’I want to eat a pretty one.’

"Your face is all dirty, you little messy kitty."

Yun Jiao looked at her hands, which were covered in white flour.

’I think I just scratched my face.’

"I’m going to wash my face."

’I’d better stop getting in the way here.’

When she came out after washing her hands and face, her brothers were also getting up, sleepy-eyed and yawning.

Yun Xiaojiu was still in a daze, not even realizing he had put his slippers on the wrong feet.

"Jiaojiao."

Seeing Yun Jiao seemed to wake them up a bit.

Seeing them yawning nonstop, Yun Jiao pressed her freshly wet hands against their cheeks.

"What time did you guys go to sleep?"

Yun Xiaowu shot him a resentful look. "Third Brother made me finish five math problems before he’d let me sleep."

For a slacker, having to solve five math problems on his own was practically torture.

Yun Xiaojiu said, "That’s not true! After he finished, Fifth Brother played slap-cards with us."

Yun Xiaowu shot back a glare. "We didn’t play for long."

Yun Xiao Ba added, "Then he made us act out Sun Wukong and his disciples’ Journey to the West. He even made Little Nine be the spider demon."

Yun Jiao: ...

’You guys have a pretty rich nightlife, huh.’

Yun Linhai called the children over to help pack the fishing nets and the various tools they would need to go out to sea.

"Jiaojiao, you go drink your formula."

Yun Jiao had wanted to help, but her dad and uncle, with their double standards, shooed her away.

Fine. She ran off, grabbed several packets of formula, and poured them into two large bowls. After mixing it with hot water, she poured a small bowl for herself and drank it first.

After finishing, she carried the rest out to share.

’If one person’s drinking, everyone’s drinking.’

"Mama, have some milk."

"Oh my, how much did you make?!"

Shen Yunlian’s heart ached at the sight. This silly child, how could she be so extravagant?

Yun Jiao looked innocent. "It’s not that much! Hurry and drink, Mama. I already had some. It won’t taste good if it gets cold."

Like a diligent little honeybee, she scurried about, carrying the prepared milk and giving everyone a share.

"The Baozi are ready!"

Hearing that it was time to eat, all the children still outside instantly rushed into the house.

Two dogs rushed in with them.

Yun Jiao patted their heads. "You two wait. I’ll give you some Baozi when they’ve cooled down."

She pursed her lips and blew on the plump, white Baozi in her hand. Freshly steamed, it was really a bit hot.

"Yun Jiao, Jiaojiao..."

A voice called from outside. It was Yun Sui.

Yun Jiao trotted outside, then turned back at the door to grab a Baozi.

"Yun Sui."

Standing outside their main gate, Yun Sui’s eyes lit up when he heard her voice. He raised the thing in his hands and gave a silly grin.

"Yun Jiao, for you. Grandpa wove a big dragonfly."

Yun Jiao glanced at it. "Come inside."

Yun Sui was very obedient and immediately came in with a goofy chuckle.

"Here, for you."

The dragonfly was woven from palm leaves. It was incredibly lifelike and about the size of her palm.

"I have one too."

After giving the dragonfly to Yun Jiao, he pulled out a grasshopper for himself.

"Look."

Yun Jiao nodded. "It’s pretty."

"For you."

Yun Jiao shook her head. "This one is enough for me. This is for you."

She shoved a Baozi into his hand.

"A big Baozi."

Yun Sui’s eyes instantly lit up, but after a few seconds, he reluctantly tried to give it back.

"Grandpa said... I can’t... take your things. It’s not good."

Yun Jiao put on a fierce expression. "What’s not good about it? If I tell you to take it, you take it."

Yun Sui was completely stumped. Should he listen to his grandpa or to Yun Jiao?

Seeing his conflicted expression, Yun Jiao rolled her eyes. "Open your mouth."

Yun Sui subconsciously obeyed and opened his mouth. The next second, a Baozi was stuffed right into it.

"There, now that you’ve had a bite, no one else will want it. So you have to eat this one."

"Oh, okay."

The simple-minded Yun Sui was now obedient.

"We’re going out to sea today. Want to come play?"

’Several of her brothers were going anyway, so bringing one more wouldn’t be a problem.’

’Yun Sui might be simple, but at least he’s obedient.’

"On a boat?"

Yun Sui’s eyes shone brightly. He had wanted to ride on a boat for a long time, but his family didn’t have one, and other people wouldn’t let him on theirs.

"That’s right. Wanna go?"

"Yes!"

"Then I’ll go tell my dad to take you with us."

"Okay."

Yun Sui couldn’t have been happier, trailing behind Yun Jiao like a little tail.

Yun Linhe and Yun Linhai had no problem with bringing Yun Sui along. Two adults could certainly watch over one more child.

"We’ll have to go tell his grandpa first."
