The Mysterious Black Magician

"Level 4!" He excitedly screamed after a successful advancement.

Presently, he was sitting cross-legged inside one of the Inn's rooms.

And a dense amount of Crimson Mana was swirling around him. Luckily, the room was empty if not, it would be a mess. The room only had a bed and a piece of bed cover and a pillow. Then a crystal light on the ceiling. Aside from that, nothing else.

Since he was hired as a bodyguard by her, he needed to stay close to her.

Yman could feel Ella was someone who wasn't an ordinary person. He could feel an aura of royalty from her. But he could not ask directly as he too was hiding something from everyone..

What he felt was probably a kind of familiarity with someone in the same situation. Maybe it was also one of the reasons he accepted the job.

<Congratulations partner!> Sistela who was sitting on the bed came to him and said her congratulations.

"Thanks, My Deity," he replied with a grin. Sistela knew that whenever he called her with that 'My Deity' kind of call, it meant that he was in a good mood to tease her.

She waved her little hand that was exuding with white brilliance. Then after that, a Holographic Screen materialized in front of him. Sistela then landed on his shoulder.

The thing that she summoned was a Status Screen of his partner. She too was excited to see the growth in Attributes after his advancement.

Yman and Sistela grinned upon seeing the results.

<Wow! It grows into a perfect 10!>

"Hehe!" As expected. 

Sistela and Yman were surprised at the results.

His Strength, Vitality, Sense, Dexterity, and Agility Attributes grew 10 points each. It could also be said that it was a perfect advancement.

Whereas, his Charisma grew 2 points and now had a total of 10 points. His Wisdom grew as well, and now had a total of 5 points.

His CE after advancement went back to 0%/100%. Now his total Health point is 13500.

His Demonic Mana and Stamina went back to 100% after a long rest.

His skin bloomed after his advancement. And now he looks more handsome than usual and exuding with sex-appeal. It was a slight effect after one advanced his level.

Although he was still at LEVEL 4 at the moment, for Yman himself, it was a big start to start his new Academy life.

The only thing he was hopeful, that the side effect of activating his Black Miasma would be lessened also. He meant diarrhea. Though last time he activated it his stomach only ache and he didn't have to poop.

Now that he thought about it, he needed to check the required preparations to activate it.

"I see, so my stamina should be at 40% or less to activate it. Much better than before. Wait, it seems like every advancement would increase the needed stamina for 10%. In this case, maybe if I advance to False Path Expert the needed preparation will be no more!? Fufu!" Yman giggled in excitement as he realized it.

Now his eyes are gleaming with excitement.

<Partner! Partner! My turn!> on his shoulder, Sistela was jumping up and down like a kid.

He checked on his Wallet Section and saw an additional 50,000 GP on it. It was the downpayment for being a bodyguard. He would receive the full payment after he completed his task. It would increase depending on the situation.

Yman smiled and glanced at Sistela then nodded. He then connects to the Market Section on his Interface.

He toggled to the Limited Edition Equipments that were exclusively displayed in one of the panels.

There displayed a list of Wings for the deity.

He scrolled one after another.

The wings looked like falcon wings. The appearance and stats looked good, but Yman believed that it won't suit his Deity's current figure.

He glanced at Sistela. Currently, her eyes are gleaming in excitement.

"What do you think about this one?" He asked.

<Nnnn….> she seemed skeptical while placing her little index below her mouth.

<Partner, let's check the others!> she beamed.

"Okay…"

Yman toggled to the next wings.

It was a pair of transparent red wings. Like the wings of a fire fairy. The attributes excite Yman. But then again, he noticed Sistela shaking her head.

Sighed.

"The attributes kinda OP," he mumbled. The attributes were a good pair to his fire element. It could boost his firepower for good. However, he could not force her to equip it if she dislikes it. She did a lot of help to him so he decided to let her choose what she likes at this time.

He proceeded to the next pair of wings. But it was already in faded color. Seemingly, someone already ordered it or bought it.

Yman proceeded.

In the end, the one they ordered was the wings with the name of [Sky Harpy Wings].

Just based on the name. It was modeled from the Xelestial Beast Harpy. The color was of the same color as Sistela's hair.

After they ordered, Yman was next updating Sistela's System to the newest version. For her to be qualified for the future upgrades suitable for her LEVEL.

When the Deity was undergoing an updating process it wasn't what you expect that it would connect to the chords or internet connections and download some files. 

The Deity was surrounded by Magic Array when it was in the updating process. Currently, Sistela was on the floor. She was floating above the Magic Array with a hexagram design and was glowing in a bluish color. Her tiny figure was seemingly curling into a ball. She was hugging her knee with her bluish hair fluttering from her back.

White color energy was enveloping her whole body and loads of numbers and letters in an ancient text were surrounding her like constricting her by the whole.

It looks magnificent no matter how many times he saw it. From her chest, a blinding glow was surfacing and it became brighter every second.

After a couple of minutes, Sistela's updating finally ended. 

Sistela slowly opened her eyes.

The first thing she said was <Tehee!>, another human gesture was added.

<Partner, all the screens are resizable now.> She reported.

"I see."

Right after saying it, Yman and Sistela heard knocking sounds from the door.

He heightened his perception and noticed that it was her.

He jumped on his feet and Sistela floated towards the bed. The wings they ordered would arrive later. So as of the moment, she was still equipping her [Floats] device. 

When Yman opened the door, "Yes my lady?" He said.

However,

"W-w-what a-are y-you doing? W-why you're topless?!" He was greeted by a stammering voice with a fuming face.

"Eh?" He was baffled. Then after hearing all her words, he realized that he was topless at the moment. 

"Oh, sorry…" he said and immediately took the white t-shirt on the bed.

The girl on the hand was covering her eyes but it was useless because she was peeking from the gaps in her fingers.

After all, the guy in front was oozing with sex appeal! And a handsome one to boot. She wanted to retreat but her feet remained still.

Well, Yman did not care for such things, it wasn't like it's a big deal for him. There was never even an indecent thought in his mind at the moment, even if the girl in front of him was wearing thin cloth but in dark color.

She looked lovely and alluring. Even someone like him who was used to the beauties already, could not help but be amazed by her. Especially with the addition of the feminine perfume that she was wearing. Even the ambiance of the surrounding was too enticing.

However, there was only one thing in the mind of Yman at the moment. To serve this girl and secure her from any harms.

When he returned to the door, he urged her to come in. But she stiffly remained on her feet.

He scratched his face.

"I-I came to give this…" she handed him a small black box that was tied by a golden ribbon.

With a puzzled face, he slowly took it that even his finger touched hers.

For some reason, she quickly retreated her hands. He wondered why this girl was acting warily to her bodyguard.

Regardless, "what is this?" He asked as he slowly opened it without asking for permission.

"Aaah—" before she could say something the box was already opened.

"A—eh?" He was surprised.

Before Yman and Ella could complete their words, Sistela landed on his shoulder and saw the thing inside the black box.

<A marriage pro-po-sal…?> She muttered.

Yman and Ella both have their mouths hanging open.

Then.

"IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!"

Ella shouted in embarrassment.

Later on, Ella explained that it was a Ring-Model - Equipment Artefact and inside it was the Silver Armor. It was one of the two armors he saw inside the Headmaster's office in the adventurers guild.

She said she was letting him borrow it. But she wanted to gift it to him for showing a domineering performance in the first elimination round of the competition.

Ella immediately left after saying all that she wanted to say to clear up the misunderstanding.

The next morning, together with Sistela, the three of them went to the market to buy some potions.

Cinder wanted to tag but something came up.
