The Mysterious Black Magician

Bewildered by what they heard, the three beautiful

girls fell into deep silence.

<How come a human is able to create a world? Is she a god?> Almina's deity — Cal, was the first to blurt a question and break the silence in the room.

Right now, he is in the form of a little butterfly robot that looks like a ninja. His wings could be folded and formed like a cross wheel. He was supposed to be a ninja robot, then these limited edition wings came out. And the Missy forced him to equip the body part. If he was a real human, he would probably cried in shame.

Fortunately, he discovered that it was foldable. And it even looks like a cross wheel hanging on his back after he folded it. Fufu, he couldn't help to feel proud of how awesome he looked after. Good thing the little Miss immediately ordered it last night.. It could even let him glide and fly like a real "....." butterfly.

In order to equip this, he had to unequip the Float device. Since the wings were the upgrade version of it. Right now, he could even use a new ability, but it was a secret though.

Hmm, Like his owner, his artificial mind was also busy thinking of something, <What name is better to call me? Cal the Butterfly Ninja? Or Cal the King of Butterfly? Hmm...> he thought. His owner was kind of busy with her training and sometimes busy thinking of her crush. So she could not prolly help him with this serious matter.

Cal glanced at the other deities. The deity of the girl named Kesha was like a fairy. The blonde girl's deity was a white chick, however, she would sometimes transform into a hot humanoid chick. And the deity of the beautiful Ace girl was modeled after a snow sprite. As of the moment, only him and the deity of blonde had the new edition wings. The deity of Ice had a limited edition Wings from last year.

On the other hand, Kesha's deity was a robotic fairy-like, and she didn't order the limited edition because she was already content with her deity's wings.

While their owners were conversing, they somehow were playing cards on top of the table. And watched the show on the monitor at the same time.

But it seemed like, the others were bullying him, his body and face were full of tape, he always lost in poker! He must ask the Missy to upgrade his head later to increase his perception. 

Actually, wing parts not only help the deity to fly, but it could also increase their owner's leaping ability and also speed. While the head part could increase the radar perception of the deity and it's appraisal ability. It also increases their owner's perception when in resonance. Every upgradeable part of the deities had equivalent increases to their owners when in resonance. This was weird, he had the highest perception for sure. But he still lost in poker.

Cal interest piqued when he heard the word of the academy's ace about a girl able to create a world. He noticed the other owner and his Missy gawked in disbelief, and his curiosity got the better of him.

"Fufu," Ice giggled after hearing Almina's deity unbelievable tone and seeing everyone's reactions. Especially Maena and Almina who were doing their best in training to become the next Ace of the Academy.

"You don't have to think much about it. Although she can create a real-world through her painting, it is not the same as the real world we have. It only lasted for a couple of hours and with limited space," Ice said.

"Limited," Maena uttered.

"Mhm!"

"Even though it is limited space and has a time limit, that kind of ability is still surreal, haha," Almina said with a forced laugh.

"On the other hand, can't that kind of ability put her in danger?"

Just after Kesha said it, the crowd in the monitor suddenly erupted into a loud yell.

They quickly returned their eyes to the screen and saw three people in black robe and hood. They jumped high in the air towards the stage to where Miss Merea Ella was just finishing her painting. 

"Miss Ella!" Gilion who happened to perceive some ill intent from these people shouted, he immediately summoned electrifying energy on his feet to leap after them. He came here together with the people of the student council in the academy to join the competition. Regardless, he was too far behind from the enemies.

His face had twisted. "Damn!"

Not all experts were able to react fast because it was too sudden. They were exuding bad intent, and seeing them going towards the stage to where Miss Ella was, they could guess that their target was no other than her. Since only her, the Trickster Faye, and a person who was wearing a hooded black armor and a mask that covered his mouth and nose were currently on the stage.

Wait! Who is that person? Everyone had such a thought. No one had paid attention when that person climbed the stage together with Miss Ella.

Not even the people who were watching it through their monitor had any idea who that person was. They just assumed that he was some random guard. Although he wore nice looking armor, for them he was just a random soldier of the empire who perhaps tasked to accompany Miss Ella on stage.

However, everyone knew that whoever that person was, it was not important in the current situation. The more pressing issue was that Miss Ella was in danger.

Still, in mid-air, the robed person in the middle materialized a golden sphere on his hand. The sphere had a total of a half-meter radius. Seeing that it was exuding akin to electricity, everyone knew that it wasn't an ordinary magical sphere.

"A paralyzing magical attack!" Almina who was watching at the monitor yelled.

Not only Almina, even Maena, Kesha, their deities, and all the other people who were currently watching at it through their monitor or in the venue, had grimed faces.

However, "Fufu, how idiotic. Terrorizing an important guest in the presence of Royal Knights and many talented individuals is just akin to asking for suicide, especially that it is the Encantasia Empire," Ice chuckled.

Alas, a moment before the three people in black robe could descend, some soldiers leaped towards them to capture.

And some experts of the great family summoned electrifying energy on their feet then jumped higher in the air while their hand flashed with different colors of dazzling brilliance.

One of them was the brother of Gilion, Hilion Gustav, together with the Canine people and other experts from top families in the empire.

However, most of them were too late.

Before the black-robe man in the middle could fire the sphere in hand, Gilion coagulated a spear-shaped magical weapon. It was made of pure mana.

Seeing this,

"Stop Gilion!" Shouted the Council President Hannah, who came together with other members of the student council, not to join the competition but to watch.

Not only Hannah was the one who shouted for Gilion to stop, even his brother and the other experts did too when they saw him coagulating massive and dense mana on his hand. But their warning came too late, Gilion already threw the magical spear.

The head of the spear was like a gaping mouth of a dragon and its body was that of an emerald dragon, with scale carvings on it.

It was tearing the space as it trailed towards the back of enemy in the middle.

Everyone gaped wide-mouth opened seeing an unexpected event unfolding in front of them.

The people in black robe glanced behind, their eyes bulged when they saw a powerful dragon-like spear shot towards them.

Everyone held their breaths for a moment. But before the spear hit the target. The person in the middle grinned under the hood, then he disappeared from everyone's vision.

After losing its target, the spear passed in the middle of the two people.

"Shit!" Gilion gritted his teeth. But he froze when he noticed his spear continued towards the people on stage.

"HEHE, idiot," inside a pub, Kiko mocked. Although these people in the empire have strong abilities, for him, they were simpleminded people.

Everyone in the public square gasped with ashen faces when they noticed the spear was traveling straight towards the popular artist Miss Ella.

"Damn, it's going to hit her," muttered one of the robe people.

Ella's face turned white while watching at the dazzling flash of a spear that was approaching her rapidly.

Yet, she suddenly felt a force pulling her. Ella had no strength to fight back the force and let herself be pulled. Her face landed on the leather chest of an armor.

Just after she was pulled, the surrounding flashed brightly. She closed her eyes and waited for her demise.

Everyone fell silent after the flash. The expected loud explosion and the demise of someone did not happen.

Standing on stage is the person they thought as a random guard. His right arm extended in front while his hand was wide open. His left hand somehow was hugging the popular Miss Ella while hiding her on his chest.

And the powerful spear? Is...nowhere...to be...seen.

"Geez, that snake again," muttered the person who pulled the popular girl Ella. He didn't expect that he would be working in advance. And what the heck was this. They didn't look like a normal stalker at all. After witnessing her magic ability, he wanted to call off the offer. After all, he was not officially assigned yet.

This ability of this girl was no ordinary. Regardless, his perception still perceived some bad intent.

All the people around were surprised, and even the people who were watching it through their monitor screen also could not believe what happened. It suddenly vanished and turned into dazzling particles.

"What happened?" Ember who didn't bother helping to capture the robed people asked in disbelief.

"The powerful spear that was thrown by that little brother of Hilion suddenly disappeared," followed Harou who was standing beside him.

"Was that person the one who did that?" Asked Cinder while pointing to the person hugging the artist Ella.

Ember knitted his brows.

Inside the room, one girl widened her eyes after seeing what happened to that powerful spear. This was a familiar scene to her.

"T-That a-bi-lity!" Almina exclaimed while covering her mouth with her hand.
