Chapter 1467: Chapter 1467: Open Attacks Are Easy to Parry, Secret Ones Hard to Defend Against
As Mo Lian’s voice fell, thousands upon thousands of shadowy figures appeared behind him, each with bloodthirsty red eyes.
Like a pack of wolves eyeing their prey, their aura was overwhelming.
They roared loudly, bursting with energy, and crazily pounced towards Yang Yan and the others.
The three of them exchanged glances, all frowning tightly.
They felt a bit of a chill down their spines now.
There were just too many of them, and their strength was not to be underestimated.
"Hahaha!" Blood Slaughter suddenly laughed heartily, saying with boldness, "Just in time, I haven’t killed enough yet! Killing one breaks even, two makes a gain."
With that, he and Lingming tacitly darted out, one to the left and one to the right, like two streaks of light jumping into the horde of attacking Demon Race.
In an instant, flesh and blood flew, turning the entire world into a sea of slaughter.
Yang Yan slowly rose into the air, confronting Mo Lian, yet did not act immediately.
Mo Lian also gazed at Yang Yan, the air growing heavier.
Suddenly, Mo Lian moved.
A blur of shadows flickered, tracing remnants in the air, pulling a dazzling light stream.
Yang Yan’s eyes narrowed, his figure faded as he similarly turned into a stream of light to meet Mo Lian.
The two figures entwined, their speed akin to dueling lightning.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
In mere moments, dozens of exchanges had occurred.
Neither brandished a weapon, each punch landed solidly.
Their attacks were reduced from complexity to simplicity, returning to the basics, without any flamboyance.
This pure contest of strength had no tricks to entertain, both were secretly astounded by each other’s prowess.
Rumbling!
Their iron fists clashed once more, and immediately, a massive explosion of energy burst forth from the center of their fists.
The chaotic currents of power swept through, and with screams echoing throughout the black mist, countless were killed or injured in an instant.
As the dust from the explosion settled, the figures of Mo Lian and Yang Yan slowly appeared.
At this moment, a thread of blood was slowly trailing from the corner of Mo Lian’s mouth.
His eyes slightly shifted down, wiped it away with his hand, and looked at Yang Yan with a smile: "Interesting, indeed. No wonder the Demon Emperor marked you for death!"
On the other side, Yang Yan stood opposite Mo Lian, his clothes now tattered, covered in wounds, both large and small.
He let out a cold snort, a response to Mo Lian.
Mo Lian stepped forward, the black mist around him began to churn furiously, gathering into his hand.
In an instant, he stood at the center of the storm, the terrifying power forming a vacuum within a hundred-meter radius around him.
In just a moment, his hand had entirely turned black, with black flames faintly flickering.
It was nothing less than a pitch-black, burning, eerie flaming ghost claw.
"Take this move! Silent Extinction Ghost Claw."
With a sudden roar, Mo Lian’s ghost claw transformed into a black lightning bolt streaking towards Yang Yan.
The sound of it cutting through the wind abruptly arose, with countless sinister ghostly shadows flickering on it, echoing with the howls of innumerable evil spirits.
Yang Yan’s eyebrows knitted together, a flash of golden light in his hand, as the blood-colored Asura appeared there.
"Nine Thunder Slash!"
Yang Yan suddenly withdrew a step, raising the sword with both hands, gathering strength, and fiercely slashing towards Mo Lian.
As Yang Yan’s Asura transformed into a blood-colored streak of light, slashing down forcefully, the golden Immortal Power surged like a rainbow across the sun, meeting Mo Lian’s ghost claw.
The golden Sword Qi shot through the air, and the sky echoed with thunder and lightning, as if a Thunder Tribulation had been born.
Simultaneously, Yang Yan moved.
Just as the golden Sword Force and Mo Lian’s ghost claw clashed, Yang Yan’s Power of Space was instantly activated.
Behind Mo Lian, a spatial rift appeared, as Yang Yan wielded Star Night towards the death spot on the back of Mo Lian’s neck.
Mo Lian curved his mouth into a cold smile, as if having anticipated Yang Yan’s move.
Just before Star Night was about to touch his skin, the black aura all over him surged, enveloping his neck.
Clang—
A crisp clash of metal rang out, sword and black mist collided, sparking flames.
The next moment, the sword blade brushed past Mo Lian’s throat.
Mo Lian then dissolved into specks of black light and vanished into thin air.
Reappearing, he was abruptly behind Yang Yan.
Seeing Mo Lian disappear, Yang Yan’s gaze sank.
But before he could react, the sound of the wind suddenly swept up from behind.
Activating the Power of Space once more, Yang Yan’s figure vanished into thin air.
But even so, two blood marks suddenly appeared on his body.
The most critical point was that, aside from the physical wounds, he felt a tremor in his Primordial Spirit.
This ghost claw did not just inflict physical harm, but was imbued with an attack on the soul itself.
Yang Yan’s brow flicked, his figure flickered a thousand times, using the Instant Teleportation technique seven times to distance himself from Mo Lian as much as possible.
However, as soon as Yang Yan steadied himself, his expression suddenly changed.
Immediately, his hands stretched out, meeting a palm and fist that suddenly emerged from the Void.
Boom!
Yang Yan felt two torrents surge into his body, causing his blood and qi to churn, his body flying out like a kite with a broken string under immense inertia.
Feeling the terrifying aura approaching again from both sides, Yang Yan gritted his silver teeth, retracted Asura in his hand, and directly summoned the World-Ending Demon Spear, frantically channeling Immortal Power, sweeping it towards the two auras.
Forcing back the sudden attackers, Yang Yan’s situation became even more dire.
These two hidden in the Void, either one was qualified to duel with Yang Yan alone.
But now they attacked unexpectedly and simultaneously, causing Yang Yan significant harm.
If Yang Yan weren’t a True God, the blow just now could have caused immediate destruction of both form and spirit, or at least a loss of combat ability.
Mo Lian cupped his hands towards the Void, saying: "Thank you both."
Yang Yan, panting, looked at Mo Lian, snorted coldly, and said with difficulty: "Sneaky rats only know how to ambush?"
Right from the initial clash, he sensed something amiss in the surroundings.
He had been very careful, yet hadn’t anticipated the attack regardless.
But Yang Yan wasn’t very surprised; after all, this was a brutal war, and there was really no point in talking about morality.
After all, reasoning with the bloodthirsty Demon Race was absurdly naive.
However, with the opponent having the upper hand, Yang Yan hoped to provoke them into revealing themselves with reverse psychology.
They say, it’s easier to dodge a straight shot than an unseen arrow.
Luring these two out was better than leaving them in the shadows.
It’s uncertain whether Yang Yan’s provocation worked, or if the enemies believed Yang Yan was doomed, but both stepped out from the Void, standing one to the left and one to the right of Mo Lian.
The two were dressed identically to Mo Lian, one fat and one thin, shrouded in black mist, faces obscured by masks, making their features indiscernible.
