The Most Arbitrary Wizard
Chapter 433 - 204: Face-off
"One room?"
"Are you serious??"
Sean thought he must have misheard.
’Aren’t you supposed to be a high and mighty noble lady?’
’So improper??’
Anna lifted her gaze, looking at him with a hint of provocation. "What’s wrong? Scared?"
’Don’t you just love having affairs?’
’If you’ve got the guts, have one with her right here.’
"Scared?" Before Sean could answer, Elise spoke up. "We’re lovers. It’s perfectly reasonable for us to share a room. What’s there to be scared of?"
"But you, on the other hand, Miss Anna..."
Elise said, her tone heavy with meaning, "When I’m getting intimate with my boyfriend, won’t you be embarrassed watching from the side?"
Anna laughed. "I think you’re the ones who should be embarrassed."
Elise laughed too. "Why should we be embarrassed?"
Anna said, "Won’t you feel ashamed, with me watching the whole thing from start to finish?"
"Not at all." Elise gave an enigmatic smile. "We’ll just find it exciting."
Sean: "..."
’Wait a minute, what’s this "we"?’
’You two can argue all you want, but leave me out of it!’
"Fine. Then you do whatever you’re going to do." Anna calmly met Elise’s eyes and said, "If you dare to do it, I dare to watch."
"Oh, good. Then tonight we’ll teach you a thing or two. Watch closely and learn." Elise met Anna’s gaze without an ounce of fear, pulled out three bills she had withdrawn earlier at a service station, and slapped them on the counter. "One room, please."
The young clerk: "..."
Before, she thought three rooms was too many, suspecting this handsome guy couldn’t quite perform.
Now that they were only getting one, she felt that wasn’t quite right either. Could it be that he wasn’t a poor performer, but... too much of a performer?
The moment she pictured the three of them playing together on the same bed, her cheeks flushed red involuntarily.
’So messy.’
’I so want to join them.’
"...Are you sure you only want one room?" the young clerk asked.
Her gaze shifted to Sean, as if asking for his input.
"One."
"One."
Elise and Anna answered in unison.
Sean: "..."
"Hey, aren’t you going to ask the person involved what he thinks?"
Elise looked back at him. "Are your thoughts important?"
Anna: "Not important."
"This is between us women. Men just need to be obedient and listen."
Sean: "..."
The young clerk at the counter spoke up. "If you’re only getting one room, you don’t need this much."
She pulled out one of the three bills and said, "One is enough. I’ll even have to give you change."
Motels were cheap, especially since Gothra Town’s economy wasn’t very strong to begin with. Someone like Elise, who would whip out several bills at the drop of a hat, could already be considered a rich lady to some extent.
Elise’s style was also that of a rich lady. She waved her hand and said, "Keep the change."
"Take the rest as a tip."
The young clerk’s eyes widened slightly in pleasant surprise. "Really?"
Elise nodded and said, "Get us the cleanest room you have."
The young clerk hastily agreed. "Okay!"
Her motel was already quite clean, as someone cleaned it every day.
But since the distinguished guest had specifically emphasized this point, she couldn’t just do nothing. She decided to go and clean it again herself.
She would also change out all the sheets, duvet covers, and towels for new ones.
"Thank you, my lady! Please wait a few minutes." The young clerk thanked her and excitedly ran upstairs—THUMP THUMP THUMP. Her form of address had even changed from the "Ma’am" for regular customers to the "my lady" reserved for nobility. The tip Elise had given her was a significant extra income, and she had to take good care of these three distinguished guests!
Once the clerk was upstairs, Sean grumbled in a low voice, "You’re so wasteful."
Elise blinked. "It’s fine. It’s not our money anyway, it’s Mr. Blake’s."
In Elise’s view, since the Underground City in Vernadu was called Blake City, the true master behind it was most likely Mr. Blake himself. Therefore, their mission funds could also be considered a gift from Mr. Blake.
Sean’s face darkened.
’Isn’t Mr. Blake’s money my money?’
’But he couldn’t just come out and say that.’
Elise then continued, "Besides, didn’t I learn it all from you?"
Ever since Sean had returned from robbing the New Eldo Bank of ten million, he had adopted a capitalist’s flair. She was with him every day, so she was bound to be influenced to some degree. He’d even done something as foolish as treating everyone on the train, so what was her giving a small tip in comparison?
Besides, money can shut people up.
They were here in Gothra Town to stir up trouble.
If people from the Church Court came asking questions later, the young clerk at the counter, having taken her money, would be more inclined to help cover their tracks.
"Alright, alright, alright," Sean said irritably. "You’re right no matter what you say."
Elise put on an innocent expression. "But it’s true. If you think I’m wrong, you can refute me."
Sean couldn’t refute her.
Mainly because it really was his style. It was the pot calling the kettle black. He could only huff and say, "I’d like to give you a tip to shut that mouth of yours."
Usually, he was the one bickering with Elvire, while Elise rarely spoke. Now that Elvire wasn’t around, Sean was just discovering that this woman wasn’t quiet at all. On the contrary, she was incredibly sharp-tongued, no worse than Elvire. Her explanation regarding the affair, in particular, was the work of a logic master.
Elise hugged Sean’s arm intimately, rubbing against him and saying softly, "Darling, you know me. Money can’t shut my mouth. You have to use this..."
As she spoke, Elise’s gaze drifted suggestively downward.
Sean: "?"
’Where are you looking!’
’You little temptress!’
Anna stood to the side, quietly watching the two of them flirt.
She could tell that in this relationship, Sean was not the active party. The fault wasn’t his.
