Chapter 425 200: Mr. Blake's Material List

"I'm not ready yet," he said.

Elise chuckled. "You're a grown man. What's there to prepare for?"

"Oh, so that's how it is?" Sean said resentfully. "What's wrong with being a man? It's my first time, too. Don't I get to prepare?"

"Alright, alright. You prepare, then." Elise wasn't about to touch that argument with a ten-foot pole. She smiled. "So, Mr. Writer, would you like to take a shower first, or have a drink with me and set the mood?"

Sean thought for a moment, then said seriously, "My suggestion is, you should start your Meditation."

Elise: "?"

Sean seized the opportunity to stand up. "It's my fertile window," he said. "You should focus on your Cultivation. Once you have a Breakthrough to Tier Six, we can talk about this again."

Elise: "..."

'Fertile window??'

She didn't know whether to laugh or be angry. "Mr. Writer, are you even listening to yourself?"

"Not important." Sean smoothly changed the subject. "Don't forget our purpose for coming to the New World."

Elise was here for her Breakthrough.

He was here for the passage, and also to find the coordinates in the New World that corresponded to the Farm World of Holkaydo.

They all had important things to do. They couldn't just mess around. If they really wanted to do something, they should wait until their business was concluded.

"Fine." How could Elise not see that Sean was just stalling?

But she agreed anyway.

Patience is a virtue, after all.

Just being able to kiss him tonight was already a huge gain for Elise.

To be honest, she had always been worried Sean might reject her. She had tested his feelings before they came to the New World, and the man was honest, but you never knew how he'd react when the moment truly came. That was why she had always maintained a careful distance, keeping their interactions within the realm of verbal flirting to avoid getting too intimate. Tonight, however, Sean had been so good to her that Elise got a little carried away and impulsively pounced on him on the sofa.

Thankfully, Sean had responded in kind.

'I have to admit, his technique was incredible. That kiss left her feeling hot and bothered.'

'Elise didn't know if Sean liked her emotionally, but he definitely liked her physically, and for now, that was enough.'

'They had plenty of time. Plenty of opportunities for love to blossom.'

'Besides, once she had her Breakthrough to Tier Six, Sean would be no match for her. Then, how they played, where they played, and in what positions... wouldn't that all be up to her?'

Sean felt a shiver run down his spine under Elise's openly possessive gaze. He felt that if he stayed any longer, this vixen might actually eat him alive. He shot up and made his escape. "I'm going to take a cold shower. You can start your Cultivation."

SHHHH.

The sound of running water came from the bathroom.

Elise looked at the tightly shut and locked door—as if he were barricading himself against a thief—and couldn't help but chuckle softly.

She wasn't sure what she was laughing at, but she just felt like laughing. She was in a genuinely good mood tonight.

Especially when she saw the Magic Potions on the coffee table.

Elise had always presented herself as a gentle, mature woman; she rarely acted like a giddy young girl. She knew her current state was dangerous—that she could fall head over heels in love at any moment, just like Elvire—but Elise wasn't afraid.

'Let it try and drown me.'

POP.

Elise picked up a vial of Magic Potion, pulled out the stopper, and downed it in one gulp.

By the time Sean came out of the shower, Elise had already entered her meditative state.

Theoretically, the New World was already a Meditation World for both him and Elise.

'Meditating within a Meditation World... According to Sopea, this kind of dream-within-a-dream Cultivation method should be twice as effective, right?' Sean muttered to himself while drying his hair. He went into the bedroom, grabbed a blanket, and draped it over Elise.

The night passed peacefully.

「The next day.」

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

Sean, who had been dozing on the sofa, was woken by a knock at the door.

He groggily opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was Elise across from him. He froze for a second, then was instantly wide awake. He padded barefoot to the door and whispered, "Stop knocking. Who is it?"

An equally low voice came from outside. "It's me, Lauden."

Only then did Sean open the door and let Lauden in.

Seeing Elise in Meditation on the sofa and the coffee table with a good number of empty Magic Potion vials, Lauden was taken aback. "You gave the Magic Potions to her?"

"Yeah." Sean poured him a glass of water and said casually, "My wife is trying to break through to Tier Five. They're just what she needs."

Lauden nodded in understanding.

'Those Magic Potions weren't cheap. While not as precious as the Witch Blood Potion, they weren't something just anyone could get their hands on. It was clear Sean loved his wife very much. No wonder he had been whispering just now.'

"So, what's up?" Sean led Lauden into the bedroom to avoid disturbing Elise.

Lauden sighed. What else could it be?

"It's about that big job from yesterday, of course."

Sean feigned ignorance. "Did you see Mr. Blake?"

"I did." Recalling the previous night's events, Lauden still looked incredulous. Awe filled his eyes. "Mr. Blake is so... big."

Sean: "..."

Lauden continued, "He was just as valiant and imposing as the books described."

Sean was long immune to such praise. "Then shouldn't you be happy? What are you sighing for?"

"I am happy," Lauden said. Being personally summoned by Mr. Blake was a great honor. He was more than happy; he'd been so excited he couldn't sleep all night. But his sigh was genuine, too. With a pained expression, Lauden said, "Mr. Gomez wants to stick his nose in it."

According to what Sean had said yesterday, now that Mr. Blake had personally appeared, the mission was no longer difficult. There was no need for help. So in Lauden's eyes, Gomez was purely there to steal his credit.

'He wasn't the old fool here; Gomez was.'

'And this old geezer was his direct supervisor! He didn't act like a leader at all!'

Sean said, amused, "If he wants to help, let him. It makes our lives easier. That's a good thing."

"What's good about it?" Lauden said, slightly annoyed. "What if, after this is all over, Mr. Blake thinks he played the main role and starts going directly to him for everything?"

"That won't happen." Sean raised a hand and said conspiratorially, "Mr. Blake is very busy. He doesn't have time to come to Blake City to supervise personally. All related matters and progress will be reported to Mr. Blake by me. I can put in a good word for you."

Lauden's face lit up. "Really?"

"Of course." Sean gave him a friendly punch on the chest. "We're brothers. When have I ever lied to you?"

Lauden immediately snapped to attention and saluted Sean. "Good brother! I thank you in advance!"

"Hey, I said we're brothers. Why be so formal?" Sean gestured for him to relax. "Anything else you want to ask? Ask away. The sooner you're done, the sooner we can get started."

"Alright." Lauden got straight to the point. "I need a list of materials."

Yesterday, they had only said that Mr. Blake needed resources, not which ones.

Sean was already prepared.

"Hang on a second."

He went to the coffee table in the living room, picked up the list he had written, and handed it to Lauden. "This is it for now. If Mr. Blake has any further instructions, I'll let you know."

Lauden took the list and glanced at it, his eyes widening. "This much?!"

It was an A2-sized sheet of paper, densely covered in text.

Lauden's eyes immediately fell on the words "Wine of Imagination"—the very Magic Potion Elise was taking now. It was expensive, and the list demanded 100 units of it alone!

Sean tilted his head. "Is that a lot?"

Lauden tilted his head too, but out of shock. "You don't think that's a lot?"

Sean said, "Keep reading."

Lauden glanced at the list again.

In the middle of the second-to-last line, he saw the words "Witch Blood Potion."

A terrible premonition suddenly rose in his heart.

He looked at the quantity next to it—

"Witch Blood Potion x100"

'Another 100!'

Lauden: "???"
