282. Upcoming Trouble in Engagement Party and First Special Guest.

Half a month passed, and the engagement ceremony between Kaito and his fiancées was set to take place in just a few days. Consequently, after a long break, Kaito was finally compelled to get to work—specifically, welcoming guests from various factions and pantheons. Thanks to his feat of defeating Sirzech in a one-on-one duel, Kaito had garnered immense interest from the supernatural factions, with many eager to befriend him. Kaito, Kazuma, and Rimuru are currently seated at a reception desk in front of a magnificent mansion, all of them dressed in black suits. Spanning 3,000 square meters, the mansion was built specifically for Kaito's engagement ceremony and is destined to become his residence in the Underworld.

The land itself was an engagement gift from the Four Satans, and Kaito is deeply touched by it.

"Calm down, Kazuma-chi~" Rimuru, sipping on a juice box calmly and patting his shoulder. "It's not like they would attack during the engagement itself. We at least know they're only making trouble at the end~ so we already prepared a plan to contain the chaos."

"Besides, this is a plan from Aika-san, and the prediction itself consumes Aika points. Do you really want to make her angry, Kazuma?" Rimuru reminded.

"Errr... on second thought, f-forget my idea." Kazuma quickly changed his mind. "It's not like I am going to fight anyway."

Kazuma was well aware that while Kaito is the leader, Aika holds the most authority in the chat group as the boss's wife. Offending her would be the last thing he wanted to do, and he believes many members also hold the same opinion.

"Ahh! That's right! It's Ophis-chan we should be more concerned about!" Rimuru enthusiastically commented, "I am not her opponent yet. Although I brought Milim to help, we all know Ophis is going to win because this is her world."

Concerned whether their fighting force was enough to resist Khaos Brigade, Rimuru even brought many subordinates to help with the engagement party chaos. Right now, all of them were waiting under Minamiya Natsuki's arrangement in the base world and planned to send them when the engagement party actually started.

Milim was especially brought out by Rimuru since he believed the only one who could handle an overpowered little girl besides Kaito was another overpowered little girl!

Kaito's face darkened. "Don't slander your boss, oi! It's not kidnapping, it's persuasion!"

"Sounds the same to me." Rimuru retorted, "After all, Kaito-kun, you are really a veteran when it comes to kidnapping little girls. Misaka's sister, formed cursed children, Nayuta, Dolly, and even when Milim comes to visit you, you easily tame her with ice cream!"

"Indeed. Indeed." Kazuma nods in agreement.

"Errr... It's all force majeure; you guys know it well too. I just have good compatibility with these girls." Kaito explained in a resigned tone. "Anyway, as long as Ophis saw my offer, I had no doubt she would easily agree to join us. Just wait until all of them come in."

After asking the system and learning the engagement party would be attacked, they also learned that Ophis is coming with the Khaos Brigade to crash in later. This is part of the reason why Kaito decided to follow 'the plot' because who knows if Ophis is still coming if he decides to just kill Rizevim ahead. Both of them are prominent characters in High School DxD, and one of them even became Issei's harem member, so everyone recognized them. It was Odin, the former chief deity of Norse mythology, and his bodyguard, Rossweisse.

Odin offered his wisdom and then said while offering his hand, "Also, no need to add -sama. Just call me Odin; I have acknowledged you as someone equal to me, Kaito-kun, and I hate all of these official formalities."

Kaito nodded, accepted his hand, and both of them shook hands. "Sure, Odin-san. I also hate formalities too."

Seeing Odin and Kaito communicate pleasantly, Rossweisse, who was still a bit ashamed, also introduced himself while slightly bowing her head, "U-Umm... hello, Kaito-sama. My name is Rossweisse, and I am here as Odin-sama's bodyguard. I-I am sorry for my unslight appearance before."

Upon hearing Odin's offer, Kaito, Kazuma, and Rimuru, being "normal men", were tempted and curious about that kind of place. While they had no intention of harassing young women the way Odin did, they were certainly intrigued by the place the chief deity and Azazel frequented. Kazuma, in particular, quickly bonded with Odin after the two recognized each other as fellow "gentlemen" (read: perverts).

They grew close, and Odin promised to take them to the "Oppai Club" sometime. In return, Kaito and Kazuma promised to invite the group to their home (their base world) for a vacation later on. After all, if the Devil race were to relocate en masse, the secret of the base world would inevitably be revealed; besides, there were plans to construct a portal to facilitate easier travel between the two worlds.

Rossweisse was the only one who simply resigned herself to their conversation, though Kaito’s promise of a vacation at his home piqued her interest her start imagining if Kaito genuinely has interest in her.

Well, Rossweisse does end up working for Kaito later on, as he genuinely appreciates Rossweisse's serious attitude towards work... which kind of manpower Kaito really needs.
