239. Talking About the Situation and The Meeting with Misaka Friends.

When Kaito returned, he was greeted by his group, who had apparently been back before him. Kaito then told them that he had met the protagonist, as well as met one of the significant dark side figures (Frenda Seivelun from ITEM). He also told them how she had inquired about his identity and capability while talking casually.

"So you have meet protagonist and the girl you want to 'save' in this world? I didn't expect your luck would be so good, master." 

"Not really."Kaito rolled his eyes at Sakuya's jab and complained, "Who knows if it's Aleister's manipulation behind the screen?"

"That might be possible." Ravel nods in agreement, but still raise raise eyebrow, "But aren't you happy to befriend them, Kaito-san?"

"Well, yeah." Kaito nodded frankly, "Touma is a fun guy after all. And Frenda is a pretty girl."

"..."

"I am just being honest, you know?"

"That's too honest." Ravel sighed, knowing that when it comes to wanting to save people, Kaito is really enthusiastic. "More importantly, I am surprised that the dark side of this city has already paid attention to you, Kaito-san."

"Well, I also felt the same." Kaito shrugged, but still expressed his amazement,  "It's not even a day since my info came out, as expected of internet era."

"Should we confront them, master?" Sakuya suggested, "Getting followed and stared at all the time would be uncomfortable."

"No need... At least for now. Who knows how many dark organizations pay attention to us, and wouldn't it be tiring to clean all of them?"

"Also, we could offend Aleister by doing it, so we can only act in self-defense for now." Ravel reminded, "The dark side of this city holds a lot of importance to him. Remember, Accelerator was "trained" using it in the future."

"Ah... yeah. Thanks for your reminder, Ravel." Kaito nods in agreement, "We need to ask him when we decide to take action."

Although he despises Aleister's act of publicly revealing his identity to the public, Kaito still doesn't want to ruin their cooperation. He doubts that the dark side of Academy City's existence holds much importance in Aleister's plan, but just to be safe, he agreed to ask Aleister later on.

Soon, those forces will definitely take action against Kaito and his friend; they will be forced to retaliate and reveal more of their ability to Aleister.

"Anyway! Enough of serious talk! Kaito-san... we brought a cake today!" Ravel excitedly brings out.

"A cake?"

"Umm! We saw a lot of people lining up at the bakery in the shopping district, so we were curious and decided to buy it!"

After that, with the help of Sakuya, Ravel quickly put out a cake out of their shopping bag, 2 round chocolate cake with Oreo topping presented on the table. The moment Est saw it, her eyes quickly lit up, showing that she might have been waiting for it.

"It looks good, huh?" Kaito commented, then he quickly conjured 4 glasses of icy orange juice on the table to complement the main menu.

He also quickly conjures a cake knife out of thin air and then uses it to slice the cake into equal parts so everyone will have the same amount.

The smell is quite nice, and it looks like a very high-quality cake that Erina and Hisako usually bake for them. "At least, I am glad that you guys didn't spend all the money on the dresses and cosmetics." Kaito joked.

"..."

Hearing what Kaito said, both Sakuya, Est, and Ravel looked away with guilt, leaving Kaito confused. Kaito remembers he already bought a lot of dresses and clothes yesterday during his date with Ravel... and it wasn't enough?

"About that... I am sorry! We still spend a lot of the money on dresses, jewelry, and accessories..."

Ravel then timidly passed the bill to Kaito, and the moment he saw it, Kaito's smile quickly became crooked. 

"..."

Not only is the number of items listed significant, but most of the items they bought also have an extravagant price tag. Like, Kaito wonders what kind of dresses and cosmetics require them to spend hundreds of thousands to millions of yen?

"You guys are really awesome... manage to spend more than 10 million yen in a few hours." Kaito said with a clear 'shock' in his voice, "If I am just your average guy, I would have filed for bankruptcy now."

"It can't be helped... There are so many high-quality products that I have never seen before in this world..." Ravel blushed.

Ravel realizes that she is really extravagant in her shopping activity this time, but as a high-maintenance, noble lady in her essence, she really can't refuse her instinct to spend on luxurious items.

"Master, I am sorry." Est also apologized, well aware that part of the bill was for her delicious snack and food.

"We are sorry, master." Sakuya also followed, bowing her head in an apologetic tone, "I tried to warn Ravel-sama, but it can't be denied that I am also interested in some product in the academy city."

"One of them is a high-quality maid uniform that can also be used at night, which I will show you later." Sakuya teased while blinking her eyes, "Or maybe, I can lend it to Ravel-sama first for your first night."

Hearing her suggestion, Kaito admitted he was tempted and blushed. Unlike before, he now has experience when it comes to night activity and a new maid uniform that even Sakuya praises, which must look really good.

 "I see... then I look forward to it," Kaito muttered shyly, this time it was he who got embarrassed.

Anyway, Kaito doesn't mind whether his family wastes their money as long as they have fun and are happy about it, With creation, money would never be an issue in any world whatsoever. Even if the academy staff tries to forbid him from creating more money, Kaito can always create a valuable item and then convert it to money anyway.

The next day, Kaito continued cooperating with Academy City testing, aiming to further develop his 'Creation' ability. Since it's been very beneficial for him, Kaito has been cooperating honestly and is actually learning a lot about his 7* ability.

One example is figuring out that he could not only able to make physical objects, but also nonphysical ones... like gravity or electromagnetic waves. When he found this, Kaito was genuinely shocked and excited, but then he also understood that it did make sense. Anyway, he has already created a literal living being with a soul way before; he should have figured out that he was also capable of doing it.

Now, Kaito has a new target, learning how to make awesome energy objects using creation, like blackhole andan anti-matter bomb directly rubbed by hand.

A few hours later, after finishing his business for the day, Kaito, Est, and Ravel were then invited by Misaka to hang out with all of her friends. Considering they would live in this Academy City for a while, none of them refused Misaka's invitation to get along with it's inhabitants and learning more about this city excellence.

At some point in the future, Kaito believes Misaka will definitely bring all of her friends to the base world later, so it's not bad to hang out with them for now.

"So, this guy is Kaito, my foreign good friend and the new number 1 Esper. And she is Ravel Phenex, my good friend, and also this guy's girlfriend."

Hearing Misaka's introduction (again), neither Kuroko nor Uiharu was surprised since they had met them 2 days ago. 

Saten Ruiko, however, never met any of them and became really excited about the prospect of meeting handsome and pretty tourists outside of Academy City. Right now, all of them are gathered in a cafe near Tokiwadai, and pretty much everyone here is wearing a school uniform.

"Hello, Kaito-san, Ravel-san! My name is Saten Ruiko! I am also your fan, Kaito-san!" Ruiko introduces herself enthusiastically with both of her hands on her chest.

"Fans?" Kaito raised his eyebrow in skepticism, "Uh, but I did nothing worthy of admiration from you."

"No! I heard you are the most handsome level 5, and the rumor wasn't lying!" 

Kaito was confused to see fanatical Saten act kinda similar to those K-pop fans, but still reacted politely to her. "...Uh, thank you." 

"You're welcome!"

"Uh, Saten-san. Isn't it bad to say that in front of his girlfriend?" Uiharu reminded her awkwardly.

"Indeed." Kuroko also agreed and then turned to Ravel with a polite bow, "I am sorry for my friend's behavior, Ravel-san."

When it's not about her sister (Misaka), Kuroko Shirai is actually a pretty good and polite girl, like many of the Tokiwadai students. After all, she was an heir of a rich family and knew how to behave like a good girl.

"It is okay. I also think Kaito is really handsome~."

Ravel didn't take her seriously and even somewhat agreed with what Saten Ruiko said. Kaito, in fact, is quite handsome and even cooler if Saten Ruiko knows what Kaito can do.

"Thank you, I guess..." Kaito muttered while scratching his cheek shyly. He really didn't expect that Ravel would be that bold to admit it, but he was also glad that Ravel had been visibly growing from a nervous girl into a more confident one.

"Wow... birdies in love!" Ruiko exclaimed, "You guys are really for each other because Ravel-san is also quite pretty!"

"Thank you, Ruiko-san." Ravel replied with a smile, "Everyone here is also a really pretty girl."

"Of course! More importantly, my onee-sama is the prettiest!" Kuroko exclaimed.

"Shut up, Kuroko! Can you act normal just for a single day!" Misaka reacted as she scolded her lesbian roommate, giving her stress.

"Pffft... You guys are so funny." Ravel held her laugh while watching the daily drama between Misaka and Kuroko.

After introducing themselves, the girls quickly get close really fast. Being one of the youngest in the chat group, Ravel quickly integrated with Misaka's friends naturally without issue, and more importantly, all of them were all the same type of ojou-sama.

Only Kaito felt out of place, being the only male and the oldest among the group, but Kaito was glad to see how Ravel was having fun chatting with people close to her age.

Although she's still quite timid sometimes, everyone can see how Ravel has also become better and more confident since she was invited to the chat group more than a year ago. Kaito was glad of his decision to invite Ravel to the chat group since it had proven that it brought a positive change for Ravel Phenex, much more than her original counterpart when she become fanatic fan of Issei Hyodou.

After the girls had fun getting to know each other, Misaka Mikoto, the de facto leader of the group, proposed a suggestion that made Kaito's mouth and eyes twitch in discomfort.

"Anyway, let's have fun together today!" Misaka suggested, "Hanging out together with you guys going to be fun!"

"But what should we do?" Ruiko asked.

"I will follow you to do whatever you want, Onee-sama!" Kuroko expressed.

"Me too." Uiharu nods.

"I also am the same. I am not familiar with the city yet." Ravel added, expressing her excitement, "There are so many districts and areas that I want to explore!"

"Indeed." Kaito also nods and agrees with her idea. Although he doesn't plan to stay long in this world, it would be interesting to explore more areas after all.

Hearing the confirmation from her friends, Misaka held her chin for a while to think before suggesting a two-option, "Amusement Park, Gaming center, or Shopping Center?"

"Umm, I prefer shopping!" Ravel answered enthusiastically, thinking that Misaka should know a lot of good places in Academy City, "I want to see more about what this city can offer!"

Even though she has spent a few hours shopping, Ravel still hasn't seen all of the Academy City shopping district. That's because there are just way too many of them, and while shopping, Ravel also has a habit of seeing and analyzing every product available for sale.

"Uh, can we do something else?"

Meanwhile, Kaito, who heard her suggestion, almost wanted to slam his head on the table- because he had enough of shopping and getting dragged by a woman to buy a lot of things. Unfortunately, Kaito forgot this group was made of 4 women and 1 man, and his opinion quickly outnumbered.

"I also think shopping is better,  Onee-sama. Playing games is not my thing anyway." (Kuroko)

"Same. I'm only good at computers, not playing games. As an amusement park, it would be so tiring.  (Uiharu)

"I am fine with either way!" (Ruiko)

"Alright! Then, it's decided, let's go shopping!" Misaka quickly accepted her friend's suggestion.

Money is never a problem anyway, and since her Esper rank rose, Misaka Mikoto's pocket money granted by Academy City has increased, so she's naturally in a good mood. Not to mention, Kaito is here == mean, they can spend as much money as they want without issue!

"..."

After that, the girls unanimously agreed to go shopping, except Kaito, who lamented his bad luck. Kaito really wanted to refuse the proposal, but since the suggestion came from Misaka and Ravel, Kaito was forced to follow as he was afraid to make Ravel feel sad (and Misaka angry, ouch).

'Shopping 3 days in a row, whether in date, with girls, and now with Misaka friends... isn't it a bit too much, Ravel-sama?' Kaito complained in his mind.

With how many shopping activities Ravel has done recently, Kaito began to develop paranoia about the word shopping. Last night, he literally spent an hour recreating money for this world's consumption, and yet he probably needs to do the same tonight.

Kaito didn't know how Ravel had become a shopping maniac much more than her original counterpart.

*BOOM*

...!!

"An accident?!" Misaka reacted first, seeing the explosion not far away from their location, "Kuroko, let's go!"

"Yes, Onee-sama!"

"It seems that our plan to shop needs to be abandoned. Let's follow Misaka-san."

Kaito didn't know whether it was just a coincidence or Aleister's manipulation, but regardless, he really wanted to say thank you because it meant this time, he didn't need to go shopping with them! 

"Wait a damn minute, that white car, and this situation..."

But then something clicked in Kaito's mind, the familiar street, scenery, and the circumstances of a terrorist who was about to drive a car away.... Kaito couldn't help but exclaim, "Wait, isn't this the fucking first episode of Kagaku Railgun?!"

...?!?

Realizing what happened, Kaito was dumbfounded since it seems beside him, neither Misaka nor Ravel realized they had arrived at the first timeline of the plot in this world.
