Chapter 419: The New Domain

Alexander was driving down the highway when the car’s system chimed with a call. He pressed a button on the steering wheel to pick up.

"Yes, it’s me, boss," said Elena.

"Elena, what’s going on?" said Alexander.

"I received the building assigned to us," said Elena. "I sent a message to everyone to meet up there, and they are on their way. I thought you’d like to see them."

"Perfect," said Alexander, tightening his grip on the wheel. "Give me the coordinates."

"I’m sending them to your terminal," said Elena.

Seconds later, the screen flickered, and a voice announced: "Adjusting navigation coordinates."

Alexander glanced at the display, and the building layout on the map looked familiar. Reading the text of the location on the map, everything clicked into place:

The Star Crystal Building in the financial district on 6th Avenue.

"I see..." said Alexander, a smirk forming on his lips. "Did they hand over Big Black’s properties to me?"

"That’s right, boss," said Elena. "Big Black’s primary headquarters building is ours. We can move in."

"Excellent work, I’m heading there now," said Alexander.

The Ferrari roared into the underground parking garage of the Star Crystal Building. Alexander killed the engine, stepped into the glass elevator, and rode it straight to the forty-fifth floor: the corporate penthouse that previously belonged to Big Black.

As the doors slid open, the hall was packed. All of his women were present: Helen, Elena, Amy, and Isabella stood waiting for him by the windows, while behind stood Marcus, Ben, and Leo. The three men bore faces hardened by battle and an aura, different from their early days.

"The boss has arrived," said Elena, a smile playing on her lips as she held out a golden access card to him. "Welcome to your new headquarters."

"I’m glad to see you’re doing well," said Alexander, looking at Marcus, Ben, and Leo.

"I was training when I got the alert that you were back," said Marcus, tightening his gauntlets with a smirk.

"We’ve been pushing ourselves in the simulation rooms since we received the notice," said Ben, stepping forward.

"This place is incredible, Alex," said Amy, walking up to him with her eyes gleaming. "The TMC tech installed on the lower levels is Gold Rank."

"And the best part is that all of Big Black’s properties in the city have been transferred under your name," said Isabella, crossing her arms. "The previous owner’s seals were voided by the Council."

"That’s right, boss," said Elena, pulling up reports on a tablet. "All of his commercial assets and territories on Earth belong to us now. We can move in and establish our command center."

Alexander walked over to the chair at the far end of the office and sat down, taking in the sight of his team gathered in the room.

"It’s a start," said Alexander, resting his hands on the desk. "Now that our base is set and everyone is here, it’s time to chart our next step toward The Breach."

Helen stepped forward, knitting her brows as she looked at Alexander.

"What is The Breach?" said Helen, crossing her arms.

"It’s a territory that used to be a battlefield," said Alexander, leaning back into his chair. "A place teeming with dangers, but also with treasures. The powers on Earth are desperate to conquer it, but the realm is hostile, so they haven’t been able to make progress. That’s why they are desperate to recruit anyone with power to carve a path through."

"And do you have to go?" said Elena.

"I managed to buy us a six-month grace period, but going will be mandatory," said Alexander, looking at the group. "The restriction is absolute: only Platinum-level warriors are granted access to that place."

Marcus let out a sigh and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Damn it... I thought I had closed the gap, but it seems you’re getting further ahead," said Marcus, looking down at his fists.

Ben and Leo nodded in silence, sharing the look of frustration. The three of them had trained in the other world to physical exhaustion. Stephen had put them through a training regimen, while the TMC had dispatched level-one awakening stones so they could achieve their first evolution. Their combat power had multiplied; yet, now that they understood the ranking hierarchy, they knew they were barely Silver Rank hunters. Alexander, on the other hand, was already a Platinum Rank—and an extraordinarily powerful one.

"By the way, my terminal hasn’t stopped ringing all day," said Marcus, pulling out his communication device. "I’ve been getting calls from my old contacts at the TMC."

"What do they want?" said Alexander.

"A lot of big shots from the high command are using us to try and set up a meeting with you," said Marcus, showing the log of missed calls. "They’re offering amounts of credits and resources for a few minutes of face time with Alexander the Platinum Hunter."

"Let them keep waiting," said Alexander with a smirk. "My time isn’t for sale for TMC diplomacy."

Marcus slid his terminal back into his pocket and nodded.

"Of course, I’ll make sure no one bothers you," said Marcus, tightening his gauntlets.

At that moment, Elena approached the wooden desk holding a folder reinforced with wax seals.

"Boss, this folder was given to me for you," said Elena, placing it in front of Alexander. "It’s sealed. They told me it was critical for you to receive it and open it personally."

Alexander stared at the document for a moment, sliding his fingertips over the surface of the official seals.

"Alright, I’ll review it later," said Alexander, pushing the folder aside with a smirk. "For now, we should celebrate that we were victorious."

Elena offered a faint smirk and clapped her hands softly twice.

"I have everything ready, the dishes are already here, boss," Elena said.

At that moment, the large double doors of the executive office swung wide open. A team of servers dressed in crisp uniforms entered the room carrying silver trays stacked with fine cuisine, prime cuts, and premium drinks to kick off the victory banquet.
