The Martial Unity
Chapter 4635: Rallying Survivors
Seeing the third Divine Mother fall, the Mindstitch finally understood the sheer gravity of the crisis they were in. She understood that, at this rate, all three of them would also perish before they could escape. There was no way for any of them to individually resist a duo that quickly killed the Web Conqueror.

"We. Must. Work. Together. While. We. Escape!" the Mindstitch insisted, sending mental messages to the Webslinger and the Netweaver.
It was very difficult for the latter two to even consider delaying their escape by grouping up with each other, but they had to admit that it was the logical move for the moment. They couldn’t afford to fight the two Transcendents alone. The sight of Rui and Amare charging straight towards them through the higher dimensions was a horrifying image.
They understood, putting their pride aside, that if they were caught, they would simply die.
The three Divine Mothers altered their trajectories, converging upon each other.
Yet, they were not the only ones converging upon each other. Argenton hadn’t been included in the game plan, but he understood that Rui and Amare were the key to taking down the remaining three Divine Mothers.
God’s Hammer wasn’t capable of superluminal travel; it simply hadn’t been built with that in mind. It hadn’t been able to catch up with any of the Divine Mothers. Argenton himself knew that he was too weak to fight any of the Divine Mothers for too long. The only reason he had survived previously was that they had wanted to keep him alive to extract the information from his head.
Even as he turned into superluminal light, beaming towards the three fleeing Divine Mothers, he metaphorically gritted his teeth. Prior to the commencement of the battle, he had been somewhat satisfied with his newfound power and his newly Legislated body, but the battle had truly shown him that there were levels to this. He was a brand-new Martial Transcendent, for all practical purposes, and Legislators cultivated power over time. Time was their greatest ally and their greatest foe.
When this battle was over, he intended to work hard to shore up his many shortcomings. But for now... he could only do his best with what he had.
WHOOSH
He arrived at the three regrouped Divine Mothers the soonest, harassing them with his light from a distance. The one thing he was good at was being annoying. Thanks to the special impossible properties of his Legislated light, he could force them to use their Verse, slowing them down.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!
At the level of Transcendents, even light beams that could destroy planets were minor distractions, at most. The three Divine Mothers gritted their teeth, maintaining their superluminal trajectory as they raced toward the edge of the solar system that was nearly in sight, ignoring the peppering attacks that he harassed them with.
They inwardly swore in their hearts they would crush this annoying fly once they transferred their consciousness and recuperated their stamina. Their six eyes lit up as they could feel the interdiction field weakening to the point where the Gate of Conquest would be able to open up a return portal.
Yet, before they could reach that point, they were suddenly swept with a powerful gravitational tidal wave.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
The powerful attack, enough to snuff a dwarf star, finally stopped them in their tracks, forcing them to exit superluminal travel and defend with their Webverses. The three Divine Mothers wore ashen expressions as they spotted Rui and Amare standing before them and their goal.
"What’s the matter?" Rui asked them with a tinge of playfulness. "You came all this way to our humble abode. We can’t let our guests leave so quickly, now can we? That would be bad manners."
He didn’t mind stalling. That only worked in their favor. The sooner their Verses deactivated because of stamina depletion, the sooner they won. Time was on their side. Even though he was quite exhausted himself, Amare was still very much fresh because she had entered the battle well after it had begun.
The Divine Mothers could sense this as well, refusing to wait any longer.
"I. Will. Amplify. Your. Verses," she told her sisters. "Go. Fight. Them. With. The. Intention. Of. Escaping... One. Of. Must. Escape. At. All. Costs."
It appeared that she had already come to reckon with the fact that it was impossible for all of them to escape. Also realized that she was most suited to facilitating one of her sisters to escape with her abilities. She would have liked to escape and return home herself, but she was willing to disappear temporarily for the sake of their cause.
"I. Look. Forward. To. The. Glorious. Future. Of. Our. Race. When. I. Return. From. Banishment," the Divine Mother spoke with conviction. "I. Look. Forward. To. Returning. To. An. Arakai. Civilization. That. Has. Conquered. The. Entire. Milky. Way!"
Her ambitions weren’t overstated; that was how powerful Administrative impunity was. It was precisely to prevent such a future from unfolding that all three Gaian Transcendents fought as hard as they possibly could.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The battle ensued as the Webslinger and the Netweaver charged at Rui and Amare, their Verses amplified by the Mindstitch, allowing their power to reach truly extraordinary heights.
Argenton, knowing full well he was simply an impediment against those two, instead chose to attack the preoccupied Mindstitch. He wasn’t strong enough to take her on either, under ordinary circumstances, but given that she was spending so much of her power amplifying the Verses of her sisters, he could at the very least make her life harder.
The final battle ensued as the two sides rushed against each other.
And yet, what should have been an even battle ended up being more one-sided than they had imagined. In truth, the only one on the entire team who had been capable of keeping Rui in check had been the leader of the War Faction.
The Webslinger who charged at him with confidence in her amplified Verse... was not his equal.
And she learned that the hard way.
