The Martial Unity
Chapter 4594: Preparing Initiative
While Rui immediately grew immersed in the new means of self-strengthening, his enemies gathered in the distance.
Far away in the Colton Star System of the Pleiades River, several Divine Mothers hovered in outer space, studying the wreckage from the battle involving four Transcendents. They beheld the shattered planets within the star system, the devastated astronomical infrastructure. The unstable stars flickered in a volatile manner, spurting out solar flares that made the entire star system uninhabitable for life.
The damage that had been done was so bad that not even a month was enough to fully sift through all the space debris.
"We. Will. Have. To. Rebuild. Everything." Divine Mother oooo—— glowered at the thought of the destruction that the Emperor of Water had wreaked on their territory. Not even the dessandrites and the aquadites had been this brazen during the war, for they did not want to escalate the conflict into one of all-out maximal destruction across the entirety of both territories.
The Divine Mothers of the War Faction had gathered after the battle to behold the wound their civilization and their faction had suffered in a single battle. Although the three Divine Mothers who had ultimately disappeared weren’t particularly important or powerful members, they were still valued comrades.
The only solace they had was that the three Divine Mothers had not been killed but rather had disappeared as a result of the price of the Realm. Still, it weakened them for the time being.
WHOOSH
A portal opened to their side, causing yet another Divine Mother to come through. This was one different from the more aggressive members of her faction. She wore attire that resembled a lab coat, while her body language was muted.
"I. Have. Discovered. The. Information. Forms. Of. Two. Of. Our. Sisters. In. Higher. Dimensions," she spoke with an erudite tone of voice, or clicks, rather. "There. Is. No. Doubt. About. It. Our. Enemy. Has. Begun. To. Harness. Hyperdimensional. Reality."
This made the gathered Divine Mothers grow more grave. They hadn’t expected that the Administrator of a primitive civilization would be able to tap into what were the highest principles of reality. This did not bode well for their objective of acquiring the methodology for evading the price of the Realm and destroying human civilization.
There was a gap between civilizations that could harness hyperdimensional phenomena and those that couldn’t. Similar to the gap between civilizations that could harness superluminal technology and those that couldn’t. If the humans were starting to tap into hyperdimensional reality, then it was only a matter of time before they grew even stronger than they already were.
Of course, even then, the might of human civilization would pale in comparison to the gargantuan web of arakaian civilization. But the arakai were besieged by both the dessandrites and the aquadites.
What was especially grim was that very recently, both civilizations had begun exerting more pressure on the arakai for reasons that the arakai didn’t understand. Up to this point, both the dessandrites and the aquadites had been fighting a defensive war primarily and a retaliatory war secondarily.
The primary goal that used to guide their decision-making had been to beat the arakai back and get them to stop the war. But now, they had begun conducting deep strikes, heavy sieges, and other entirely offensive operations. It was a move that had shocked the arakai, making many regret that they had ever chosen to attack the two advanced civilizations.
This was especially true for their war with the aquadites, which had been waged entirely due to a misunderstanding of who the culprit for the death of o-o-o-o was. But alas, they could simply say, ’hey, we’re sorry about that. Got the wrong person.’
The aquadites would never accept that. It wasn’t a matter of just pride. Politically, allowing an alien civilization to invade their territory and get away scot-free would be the same as telling everybody that they were weak and could be bullied.
The humans were holding off against the small Web of War that the Divine Mothers had sent their way, and with their other enemies increasing pressure, they couldn’t afford to send reinforcements.
"...We. Have. No. Choice," Divine Mother oooo—— spoke with a serious expression. "We. Must. Attack. The. Emperor. Of. Water. As. Soon. As. Possible."
The other Divine Mothers around her nodded. They understood the pressing need to deal with him as soon as possible. If he mastered hyperdimensional power, then he would become extremely powerful and a very potent threat to Arakai Web Civilization. It was best to nip this threat in the bud.
"One. Month." Divine Mother ooo—o- turned to her sisters with a grim expression. "Settle. Your. Affairs. Ensure. Your. Cells. Are. Prepared. For. Your. Potential. Disappearance... After. That. We. Ambush. The. Emperor. Of. Water. In. His. Home."
Divine Mother oooo—— may have been primarily motivated by her greed for the method of evading the price of the Realm, but she still felt an enormous amount of anger and hatred towards the Emperor of Water for so brazenly desecrating their star system. After she extracted the method to evade the price from his brain, she intended to inflict an excruciatingly agonizing death on him and then destroy his entire civilization herself. She would snuff out every star that they had conquered, drowning their territory in darkness forever.
She was even willing to take the risk of disappearing, which was a very realistic outcome. She was the leader of an entire faction. If she failed to succeed, then the War Faction would undoubtedly crumble. But she had already resolved and made up her mind to go all out and take the risks.
"Do. Not. Tell. The. Others," she remarked, thinking of her despicable political opponents in the Pluralist Faction. "They. Will. Definitely. Leak. It. To. Our. Enemy. And. We. Will. Be. The. Ones. To. Be. Trapped. And. Ambushed."
The numbers she had planned were more than enough, as far as she was concerned. Six Divine Mothers, and several powerful ones among them, should be more than enough.
