"Pathwalker. Bogey. Has. Disappeared!"

"Space-time. Tensor. Field. Has. Detected. Warp. Bubble!"

"Identity. Confirmation. complete! This. is… 'Kane. Arrancar.'"

The arakai panicked as they realized they were facing one of the vaunted Corporeals of human civilization.

Far away, Kane crossed the distance between the fleets in a fraction of a millisecond, moving at extraordinary speeds even as he weaved through prothanite shells.

He arrived at the hulls of the battleships.

"Deploy. Interceptor. Starfighters!"

"Deploy. The. Ascended. Arakai!"

"Don't. Worry! Target. Has. High. Speed. But. Low. Damage. Output!"

Almost as if he could hear them, a smirk emerged on Kane's face within the helmet of his exo-Martial suit. He gripped the hilts of his daggers, pulling them out.

VMMM…

The daggers hummed in a harmonic manner. They hummed silently in the vacuum of space.

"Are you ready? Twin Winds?"

A voice replied in his head.

'Show them the destruction that our winds can bring.'

It was a message that permeated across the information dimension, permeating the web of quantum entanglement that allowed his Corporeal body to communicate with his mind.

It was a message that originated from the daggers in his hands.

These were the weapons that he had commissioned from none other than Transcendent Dwight, having very recently been completed.

This was the first battle of the Twin Winds.

Kane intended to celebrate his new weapons by baptizing them in battle.

"Then let's go!" His eyes flashed with intensity as he charged forth at superluminal speeds, swinging his dagger straight at a prothanite-laced hull, contradicting guidelines that required him to evade prothanite as much as possible.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Much to the shock of literally everybody watching, the daggers pierced through the prothanite. Not only did they pierce through the prothanite, but they struck with such force that the cracks they created extended all the way from the hull across the entirety of the internal architecture of the battle cruiser!

BOOOOM BOOOOM BOOOOM!!!

Kane moved away with a grin as he watched a battle cruiser experience a secondary wave of explosions as the cracks breached the antimatter containment chambers of the ship, unleashing waves of matter-antimatter annihilation reactions.

In just a matter of seconds, a battle cruiser had been completely destroyed by a Martial Corporeal who was otherwise known for having the weakest output among his peers.

Kane grinned as he felt a rush of excitement. He had always lamented his weak output, although he knew that this was simply a fundamental archetypal limitation of an evasive maneuverer. He couldn't expect to be extraordinary at everything; he wasn't Rui, Amare, or Ieyasu.

But these weapons solved his greatest limitation.

They were indestructible, as far as Kane could tell. When he examined the edge of the blade that had struck the prothanite-laced hull, he realized that none of the molecules or even the atoms had budged out of place.

It was utterly magical.

He had absolutely no idea how such a thing was physically possible within the laws of the universe.

"This is the power of Transcendence, I guess."

He had long learned that logic should be thrown out the window when Transcendents were involved. They simply could violate the laws of reality and get away with it. Transcendent Dwight appeared to be no different.

The other battle cruisers parted away from the one that Kane had destroyed, turning their gun barrels towards him. At the same time, a fleet of starfighters and ascended arakai rushed towards him.

Yet, in the face of all of this adversity, Kane felt a rush of excitement and confidence.

He missed this.

Years of raising his son within the absolute security of Gaia Prime made him miss the rush of excitement that came with evading attacks on the battlefield. And he was especially euphoric at the ecstasy of finally overcoming his low damage output.

"You guys are so cooked." He laughed as he charged forth at superluminal speeds.

What ensued was a hurricane of destruction unlike anything anybody had ever seen. Entire fleets of starfighters were cut in half with a precision so high one would have thought it was done by an industrial micro-cutting precision tool.

Ascended arakai were reduced to diced-shaped pieces of meat as their blue blood gushed into outer space. Battle cruisers vainly tried to hit him even at the cost of potentially striking other ships in their fleet, but all of their attacks missed Kane by light-seconds; they weren't even close.

Instead, they began exploding one by one.

The damage they sustained from Kane was so great that even their retreating measures were disrupted, allowing the Seventeenth Armada to finally catch up and cross the hundred-kilometer mark.

"Deploy the Pathwalkers!" Admiral Ferdinant Maynegeist cried, leading to thousands of pathwalkers being launched at the incoming war fleets.

BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!

An overwhelming wave of destruction began spreading across the arakai fleets, led by Kane, who became a demon of destruction.

Yet, his rampage was not gone unchallenged.

Just before he could destroy yet another battle cruiser, he felt a profound sense of danger.

WHOOSH

Suddenly, a net of web appeared around him, almost catching him even with his reaction. His reflexes spiked as the Twin Winds in his hands blurred in arcing motions, cutting the web, allowing him to rush away.

He extricated himself nearly a hundred kilometers away, panting within his exo-Martial suit as he studied the new presence on the battlefield.

An unusual arakai with silver fur instead of the standard turquoise fur that the arakai had.

He knew what that meant.

"Divine child."

A descendant who was blessed with being matured within the body of a Divine Mother, treated as their 'true' children. They were among the strongest arakai after the Divine Mothers. He remembered seeing one face off against Arastia for quite some time during the fateful mission in the Strehegeld Star System.

Now, he would have to face one himself.

"Bring it on," Kane growled as he charged forth, rushing towards the Divine Child as a destructively intense battle ensued.
