Chapter 3514: Thirsty Giant and Observant Sentinel
Chapter 3514: Thirsty Giant and Observant Sentinel
In the far depths of outer space was the Sun.
Around it were numerous quasi-Dyson Sphere on one half of the Sun. An international treaty between all six civilizations, in which they all collectively agreed not to impede the light from the Sun to their planet, was the sole reason that the half facing Gaia remained as it was.
Among the quasi-Dyson Sphere, however, was none other than an astronomically titanic being.
A giant.
A particularly giant, giant. One that was the size of a moon, or perhaps even a small planet.
His hands were spread, welcoming the light and the heat of the Sun while his eyes were closed.
His face was slackened in slumber.
His body was bare, allowing it to absorb as much light and heat as he sought.
He had slumbered for centuries, simply consuming the power of the Sun.
Nothing had ever dared to wake him up, for who could possibly withstand his wrath or even his attention?
Nothing until that day.
Rui’s Martial Embodiment had grown so powerful that not even Gaia herself could contain the astronomical information phenomenon, causing the Martial Embodiment to leak into outer space, where it spread at the speed of light.
In just eight minutes, the Water reached the Sun, drowning it and the quasi-Dyson Spheres.
And, of course, the Suneater.
The giant stirred as the Water swept his mind.
Then, he woke up.
His eyes slowly opened as he found himself submerged in a now-diluted flood of Water that tickled his brain. His head slowly shifted, causing alarm to the crew aboard the various Dyson Spheres revolving around the Sun as his gaze shifted in the direction of Gaia.
His eyes lit up as he found more Water than he could ever hope to find, even in all the oceans of Gaia.
“Water…” His voice rumbled through the very fabric of space and time, spreading across the entire solar system. “I… I thirst for Water.”
He consumed Rui’s Martial Embodiment, not even realizing that it was an illusion.
Giants weren’t the brightest tools in the shed. Their raw intelligence was equal to that of a human on average, and yet their irrationality affected their thought process. In that moment, Suneater was thirsty, not having drunk any water in centuries, having feasted on the Sun’s power the entire time.
Now he needed water to quench his thirst after a good meal.
“More water…” He mumbled as his powerful eyes identified the source of the water that he sought to desire.
He would consume all that water.
He would consume the source of all that water.
Maybe then he could finally quench his thirst.
RUMBLE…
The very fabric of space and time quivered as Suneater moved, pushing against space and time as he launched himself towards Gaia, eager to quench his thirst with water. In other corners of Gaia, other powerhouses stirred as they detected the astronomical amount of power that Rui mobilized against the Dragon Emperor.
In the depths of a large island of the coast of Acherialis was a large being.
He sat on a throne, one made of stone.
His body possessed the size of a giant, and yet, he looked nothing like a giant. Instead, his body was riddled with streaking lines of glowing circuitry. His skin was a synthetic material while his eyes shone with an inorganic light that dispelled the darkness of the night.
He was a sentinel, a hybrid species between giants and tekvores.
He was the first sentinel and the leader of their civilization.
Sentinel Prime.
RUMBLE…
Rui’s Martial Embodiment washed over him and his island while sentinels across the entire region broke into panic and horror. Sentinel Prime kept his eyes trained on the Great Void Ocean with a calm expression.
The battle between the strongest Martial Artist and the strongest therianthrope was one that he was deeply interested in, for it would determine the future of his civilization. The Unfolding had completely changed the world, so much so that everybody had to find a new place in it, lest they be swept by chaos.
The victor of the battle that raged on within the depths of the Great Void Ocean would determine which side Sentinel Prime would join. If the Dawnbringer proved that he was truly worthy of being among the top ten most powerful entities in the world, then Sentinel Prime was inclined to ally with Panama Continent.
If not, then he would gladly choose their enemies.
His calculations were ruthless and impassive. Even though he was among the strongest beings in the entire world, his nation was not among the powerhouses of the world. He could not afford a battle with the Imperial Tekvorian Federation or with the Evolutionary Army, especially when the latter was bound to become astronomically more powerful in the future. He could only side with the Panama Continent if they proved to be powerful enough to actually win the war for the exotic treasure of their continent. His interest in the battle was one of pure self-interest.
Each of the ten powerhouses of the world reacted to Rui’s expanding Martial Embodiment differently.
Some were impressed.
Some were interested.
Others were threatened.
And yet, they all watched.
They all watched as the battle between the Antithesis and the Dragon Emperor raged on, reaching unprecedented heights.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The depths of the ocean shook as the blinding brightness of the blood-red Suns within Rui’s eyes dispelled their darkness, revealing the unfathomable destruction that had spread across the ocean floor.
The cracks were profoundly deep and wide.
Lava and magma slowly began emerging from the depths as the astronomical pressures within the mantle found an outlet. The waters of the Great Void Ocean roared in their ears from the maelstrom of power that both warriors released.
And yet, neither Rui nor Shenlong cared.
Their eyes remained focused on each other.
For a moment, nothing happened.
For a moment, they remained still.
Frozen.
Frozen in time.
And then, all hell broke loose.
RUMBLE!!!!!
