The Martial Unity

Chapter 3478: Sampled Particle

Chapter 3478: Sampled Particle

The Hadron Collider of the Gajanan Clan was vast and expansive, stretching a huge distance far beyond what the eye could see. The circle that it formed was so huge that any point near the collider tubes resembled a straight line that simply stretched a great distance in each direction with almost no visible curvature.

The exterior was made of an organic alloy, resembling tusk and bone, while the interiors were comprised of special organic tissue from the DNA of a creature that could produce a powerful electromagnetic field to accelerate protons at speeds infinitesimally near the speed of light.

Rui could sense the immensely powerful EM field active at that moment. The energy needed to accelerate a particle by a certain amount continued rising exponentially the closer the particle got to the speed of light, making for a vastly inefficient process with highly diminishing returns.

It was why the production of exotic materials was almost unfathomable with the energy that even the civilizations of the true world had. Even with Dyson Swarms that surrounded the Sun, siphoning the virtually limitless energy it had within it, it was simply not powerful enough to justify such immense energy expenditure.

It was no wonder that the true world sought to search for exotic matter in the universe rather than try to create it through high-energy particle collisions that created all manner of exotic quantum phenomena.

“This way, Your Highness.”

The official who guided them gestured to the main research facility that monitored the hadron collider, built around it. The sheer scale of the research facility was rather shocking. Rui could especially see the sheer amount of resources that went into building a research center that spanned kilometers in diameter and had multiple layers and segments beneath the surface.

Something that appeared to be a common and regular theme in the true world. Despite having access to a massive amount of natural land, they harnessed the full potential of the planet’s volume and built structures that formed above and below the surface of the ground.

The white luster of the external tusk structures reflected the bright light of the afternoon Sun, while the constant hum of machinery could be heard even from the outside, with how much power the hadron collider demanded.

Rui and Amare followed the guide through the research center, even as they kept their stealth active, limiting themselves to their Martial Heart for the time being as they made their way inside the structure.

Within the structure were an immense number of researchers and scientists, working across a large set of terminals, labs, and other research facilities that monitored data and results from the supermassive hadron collider of the Gajanan Clan. But they didn’t stop to visit any of them, instead moving deeper and deeper into the research facility.

Innumerable security check-ups and authorization checks later, they found themselves at a lower level, approaching the very core of the research facility.

A containment chamber used to house the negative-energy exotic matter.

The moment Rui set foot within the chamber, gazing at what appeared to be an empty unit, he could feel the world shifting. The impact that the negative-energy exotic matter had on the world around it was rather notable for someone with senses as powerful as his own.

The researchers in the lab treated the unit sacredly.

However, Rui and Amare simply found themselves in a familiar presence after a year away from the Panama Continent. The presence of exotic matter was something that they had grown up with their entire lives, after all.

Exotic matter had a distinct presence to it.

It made the world feel more colorful and loud, if one could put it that way. It made the world feel more mysterious and untamed, while the true world, as incredible as it was, felt more sterile and boring. Exotic matter, on the other hand, added a more than subtle sense of fantasy that Rui had come to miss.

“Behold, Your Highness. All the dark-energy exotic matter that we have,” the man remarked. “Despite years of experimentation, we have yet to collect enough of it to even be visible to the eye. It is truly unfortunate that we simply don’t have the kind of miracles that your homeland has. Please let me know what you would like to do with it.”

“Hmm…” Rui stepped forth as he circled the facility, the seemingly empty container unit.

He could sense a repulsive gravity from the tiny specs of matter. They warped space and time in a manner that was exactly opposite to how regular matter warped it, creating a repulsive force that pushed regular matter away from it, while attracting other negative-energy exotic particles together in a convenient bundle that floated midair.

The containment unit warped space to cancel out the gravity of Gaia, lest it fling the negative-energy exotic particles upwards towards the ceiling of the unit.

Gazing at it, Rui began understanding how the particles functioned.

He could sense that they didn’t interact with the other three fundamental forces at all. There was no interaction with photons or with bosons of the strong and weak nuclear forces. It seemed to interact with the Higgs field in a strange manner, which gave it negative mass and energy in the first place.

It contained an energy that Rui sensed was identical to the energy that drove the expansion of the universe, dark energy. Arguably, the most powerful force in the entire universe.

“I need a sample of just one particle,” Rui replied. “That will be enough.”

The official hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Very well, Your Highness.” The source of ths content is novel[f]ire.net

He ordered the researchers, speaking in the native language of the Gajanan Clan, before they quickly adhered to his instructions, using nano-tweezers to extract a single particle from the chamber into a minute containment unit, before handing it to Rui, who simply cracked it open without any care, much to their surprise.

He manipulated space to guide the exotic particle within his hand, nodding to the rest of them. “I’ll need some time by myself.”

WHOOSH

Just like that, he teleported away.
