Chapter 3443: Genetic Impacts on the Future of Human Civilization
All blood children had turned twelve years old across the entire continent, and that meant that Arastia was hardly the only girl who had started menstruating. That year, a highly classified and confidential set of reports from across the entire continent made it clear that the girls had already entered puberty and were experiencing a menstrual cycle that was very different from anything that human civilization had ever seen before.
They all reported the same thing.
[Blood girls experience a spike in physical and mental abilities by an order of magnitude when undergoing menstruation.]
It was a shocking report that rocked the highest echelons of human civilization. Many leaders were truly bewildered that there could be such a radical departure in the female hormonal cycle compared to what human women go through on a regular basis.
It had truly shocking implications for gender dynamics between men and women of the future, since the great plan with hemosapien children was to integrate their DNA into the human species until there was no distinction between hemosapien and homo martialus genetically, where everybody was a hybrid of the two species containing roughly equal amounts of each species’ DNA in their blood.
This meant that women of the future would become categorically superior warriors for a week in each month. There was absolutely no doubt that this would make women of the future superior combat assets, and the balance of power would skew away from males and tilt towards females.
On the other hand, there were those who proposed that the balance of power would become even because male Martial Artists were obviously stronger than female Martial Artists on average due to the male body being designed for combat.
However, that difference was diminished after the Squire evolution process. And in fact, there were many advantages that women had over men as Martial Squires.
For one, estrogen promoted healing, which meant that women healed faster than men on average. This difference was magnified after the Body Evolution process, where female Martial Artists had a healing factor that was thirty percent faster than that of male Martial Artists of the same age, rank, and Martial Body type.
Estrogen was also cardio-protective and neuro-protective, making the after-effects and the price of the Realms of power much lower for female Martial Artists and male Martial Artists. Thus, even if male Martial Artists were more powerful on average, female Martial Artists could hold their own and make it so that the balance of power remained largely even.
There was a reason why two of the most powerful Martial Artists in all of human civilization were female, after all.
However, the revelation of the power spike that hemosapien girls experienced completely changed their equation. Even if it was for only one week out of twenty-eight days, women were undoubtedly going to be categorically superior to male Martial Artists on every level.
This would drastically skew gender dynamics in favor of women, making the society resemble the elves. Human civilization was a partial patriarchy that was diluted because female Martial Artists were too many and too powerful to possibly oppress, but the gender dynamics were still tilted in favor of men on average when it came to those in power.
However, hemosapien DNA completely changed that dynamic. Especially so since it was proven to be the case even with hemosapien girls who hadn’t broken through to… whatever the first rank of the Blood Path was. It meant that this would become a power difference between all women and men in the future if hemosapien DNA was introduced into the human species.
It wasn’t difficult to predict what would happen next.
“A female revolution,” Emperor Rael murmured knowingly as he gazed at the meta-analysis performed by the group of special physicians assigned to hemosapien children around the entire world. “Once they gain the power to have more, they will not settle for being second place. They will seize the power in society with force or pressure, altering the dynamics of human civilization.”
All non-volatile power structures were in equilibrium.
There were constantly parties, factions, interest groups, and communities that were engaging in a tug of war for power every second of every day. If a power structure was stable, as most were, then it meant that the tug of war had reached a deadlock and had entered an equilibrium where all forces had proven to be equal in the current state.
It was why the world leaned towards patriarchy.
“That will change once hemosapien blood assimilates into human civilization,” Emperor Rael predicted as he began calculating the future. “The female half of our species will pull harder and harder, overwhelming the other forces and tilting the power structure in their favor.”
Most likely, human civilization would enter a long, long era where women would dominate human civilization, potentially forever if nothing changed in the human genome.
While his prediction and analysis were more accurate and deep than most, he wasn’t the only person in human civilization who had predicted this outcome by any means.
The many men in power were not pleased by this outcome. No sane person would have any active desire to live in a system where they were systematically disenfranchised. The same was true for both men and women, and the men in power realized that they were headed to a world where the power that they held was going to be systematically crushed.
Were they simply going to sit back and allow that to happen?
Emperor Rael’s expression worsened. “…Of course not. If not for Rui, the children’s lives would be in danger.”
Cornered people whose power was threatened were capable of stooping to any level of evil and horror. Emperor Rael knew this for a fact, given his four centuries in politics and geopolitics.
If they had to genocide millions of innocent children to maintain their power, they would unhesitatingly do it without even the slightest hint of remorse. However, Rui’s blanket protection and promise of retribution were the only reasons that not a single blood child has passed away.
