Chapter 3436: Commencing Voyage
Chapter 3436: Commencing Voyage
She walked towards him as he pulled her into his embrace, before activating his Realms of power.
RUMBLE…
He activated Megamind as a blood-red glow entered his pitch-black eyes.
The very fabric of space and time trembled, sending tremors across the entire port town, causing alarm among the people.
“Goodbye, Hlakaschken Trade Empire…” Amare whispered.
And then, just like that, they teleported.
WHOOSH
One moment, they were in their little room in the inn.
The next moment, they were gone.
WHOOSH!
They appeared atop the sea, many kilometers away from the Hlakaschken Trade Empire, as Rui quickly activated stealth techniques, leaving them entirely invisible. For the time being, he decided to use Martial Soul anyway, just to make it even harder for the Dragon Emperor to find them.
“Though maybe that won’t be the worst part,” Rui muttered. “Since I’m sure that the two of us can definitely kill him. Not to mention, getting him away from Kiriket is the goal of my plan.”
“He won’t fall for it,” she remarked knowingly. “He came to the Hlakaschken Trade Empire because he didn’t know you and me were there. But now that he knows what he is dealing with, he’s not going to leave his base that easily. Especially when he knows that you’re target is Kiriket. So he doesn’t need to go to you; he can just wait for you to come to him.”
It was still worth it to keep the stealth up so that he didn’t know when Rui and Amare would arrive at the continent, making it impossible for him to stage an ambush on them. Since his ultimate goal was to eat Rui himself, he would need more precise information on where Rui was, rather than just mindlessly deploying his forces to find Rui.
These factors worked in Rui’s favor, of course.
WHOOSH…
A strong oceanic wind brushed past them, causing their hair to flutter and dance in the wind. The salty humidity of the ocean hung in the air while the noise of waves and ships moving to and from the Hlakaschken Trade Empire broke the silence under the bright light of the morning Sun.
The blue waters of the ocean seemed to almost melt into the sky’s blue hue of the heavens far in the distance at the horizon, making it seem like heaven and earth had converged upon each other.
It was a picturesque sight.
Yet, their minds remained focused on the goal at hand.
The journey to Kiriket would easily take more than a month, even at a high pace. They has with them enough supplies to keep them sustained on the way with high-density nutrient food, allowing them to ensure that they had all the power that they needed. Of course, Rui could always use Nature Breathing with the flora on the little tiny islands they ran into to feed himself if he needed.
With the Blood of Solaris, his energy reserves were essentially endless, allowing him not to have to worry about running short on energy any time soon.
“Let’s get going.”
Drowned in a field of imperceptibility, they made their way to Kiriket in what was certainly going to be a long journey. The time the journey took was good in and of itself due to the fact that it allowed them more time for refining their preparations for the confrontation with Kiriket.
Amare got used to her newfound memories while Rui worked on refining his approaches to the situation at hand.
However, while they journeyed to Kiriket, the world did not remain stagnant. The Kandrian Empire and the Hlakaschken Trade Empire entered into a round of serious negotiations and deliberations regarding a distribution deal for the export of esoteric substances from the Kandrian Empire to the rest of the world, in exchange for making the Hlakaschken Trade Empire the largest broker of esoteric goods and services.
Emperor Rael and Empress Schlieffen began with an armistice with each other as well as a free-trade agreement that was agreed, but not yet signed. The Panama Continent was not united under a single federal structure, which meant that Emperor Rael could not entirely make deals on behalf of the entire continent.
He could only do so on behalf of the Panamic Alliance, which didn’t have a mandate for everything. Other nations in the Panama Continent had already begun pursuing their own agendas with the true world, agendas that were beneficial to them, even if not optimal for the entire world.
The Namgung Clan began exploring an agreement with the Bournyvrne Empire while the Hive began pursuing an even deeper relationship with the dark elves of West Genora. Out of all of human civilization, they had the most in common with the dark elves due to being equally collectivist in nature.
The dark elves were utterly fascinated with the esoteric plant that allowed all the people of the Hive to be bound together in a network beyond words. The fact that it was a flora lifeform that was responsible for the collectivist nature of the Hive drove the dark elves utterly crazy.
It was not something that the Emperor of Harmony could leverage in a deal, since only the Hive had control over it and would not allow him to make a deal on their behalf. The only constraint that they were subject to was that they couldn’t betray human civilization in whatever agreement they pursued.
It caused an exchange of populations of dark elves and Hive members moving to each other’s continent, and settling in close proximity with each other so that they could intermingle and produce hybrids.
It marked an even deeper connection between human and elven civilization that had grown close enough to mate with each other and form a genetic bridge between two civilizations, marking an even deeper connection.
Human civilization as a whole began growing stronger as the root network technology and the spontaneous wood expansion technologies allowed for the acceleration of the economic corridor project that the Emperor of Harmony had already planned almost a year ago.
Simultaneously, the Water Sect reached out to the other half of evolutionary civilization, unbeknownst to Rui, seeking to form a bond with the other evolutionary nations on the other half of the continent.
Myriad exciting and unknown developments unfolded in the world as Rui and Amare traveled to the Panama Continent.
