The Martial Unity

Chapter 3420: Retrieving Intel

Chapter 3420: Retrieving Intel

Rui was wise enough to realize that he wouldn’t be able to push to yield greater concessions than that, and he didn’t try to.

“I do request that you announce that the Hlakaschken Trade Empire will remain neutral for the foreseeable future,” Rui remarked. “That would be greatly appreciated and would help me in my goal of defeating the Dragon Emperor and Kiriket Continent.”

He needed the intelligence provided by the Whisperer to complete his mission, which meant that he needed to ensure that war was averted, or at least appeared to be averted.

“…Fine.”

She surprisingly acquiesced. “Consider it a token of my gratitude for saving our country.”

“That’s rather a light token considering what would have happened if Amare didn’t intervene.”

“I didn’t say it was the only one.” She huffed. “I am considering remaining neutral and forging a bond with the Panamic Alliance despite having ruled it out before.”

Empress Schlieffen would be lying if she wasn’t impressed by the power the Martial Civilization of the Panama Continent. She had thought that their initial success in driving out the invaders after the Unfolding was something akin to elven dominance on Genora. But Amare and the other Martial Artists of the Panama Continent had proven her wrong; to fight the Dragon Emperor for as long as she did was proof that the Panama Continent was a force to reckon with at all levels.

She just truly didn’t know if it was enough for what was to come from the Evolutionary Army in the future.

Rui felt the urge to tell her about the hemosapiens, MECHAs, and other trump cards that human civilization possessed, but he controlled himself. He couldn’t entirely trust her with such confidential information. Especially if she did end up aligned with the Evolutionary Army, all that confidential information would fall right into the Evolutionary Army’s hands.

“…Convince me that you have the power to defeat what is coming, and I will remain neutral,” Empress Schieffen remarked. “That is all I ask of you. All I hope for you.”

Rui simply gazed at her silently for a moment before heaving a deep breath. “That won’t be easy or quick. But for starters, I can begin with this.”I

He activated his misdirection, misdirecting her consciousness away, leaving her subconscious mind open to any information he conveyed to her with nonverbal communication.

What he conveyed was a prophecy of the future.

Visions of the Evolutionary Army enslaving the entire nation, turning it into a giant slave labor camp where everybody would be forced into all forms of skilled and unskilled labor.

Empress Schlieffen’s eyes widened with horror as she watched all female residents of the country being turned into slaves who were subject to unspeakable horrors. The men of the Evolutionary Army were not allowed to reproduce with the women of the Evolutionary Army, causing them to seek an outlet in whoever they could get their hands on, forcing them to reproduce hybrids containing evosapien blood.

“This…” Empress Schlieffen’s voice was shaken. “What is this…?”

“This is the future that awaits you if you trust the Evolutionary Army.” Rui’s tone was calm. “They are not a nation with a military; they are a military with territory with the goal of conquering all. You will not find any salvation by submitting to them.”

“…How do I know that isn’t just a fiction that you have conjured in your own mind to try and trick me?” She sharpened her eyes.

“You don’t,” Rui replied. “But take a look at the history of the Evolutionary Army and ask yourself whether this is truly beyond them. Look at how they operate. How they do things. What they think of life and people. In comparison, look at the bond that humans and elves have already forged in the true world.”

“…” Updates are released by novlfire.net

“I’ll leave you with that for now,” Rui remarked, getting up, giving her one last look. “Make the neutrality announcement immediately so that I can get my hands on the information that I want. Then, I will show you what we are capable of. I will show that we are more than strong enough to form a balance against the Evolutionary Army.”

WHOOSH

Just like that, Rui teleported away, arriving outside the Imperial Palace with his stealth active, before taking off, deep in thought.

With this, he could finally get the information that he sought.

Information that would help him defeat the Dragon Emperor and the War Coalition. It was not a task that he could simply fulfill with his innate combat power; he needed some intel that could give him an edge against his enemies and point him in the right direction in terms of the course of actions that he needed to take in order to achieve his goals.

“Improving Amare’s strength even by a small amount with the training method that I have for her will go a long way when we’re in Kiriket, dealing with the War Coalition.”

They were definitely going to be outnumbered since three-fourths of the continent was in favor of war. He needed to be the absolute strongest she could bring out for the battle, for she was undoubtedly going to be swarmed with all manner of beasts and monsters.

“Thankfully, she has experience with the Beast Incursion.”

He wasn’t worried about Amare, despite her own dissatisfaction with her own power; she was truly one of the strongest beings in the world after the top ten, with very few who could even match her in combat, and her rate of growth had not yet plateaued despite the level of power that she had reached.

“Now then…” he reached the sanctuary garden in the Port City of Halsch with an eager expression, eventually returning to the Whisperer’s domain. “Time to finally get that damn intel that I have gone through so much to get.”

WHOOSH

In the blink of an eye, he teleported into her underground facility, finding himself arriving right in the middle of her dimly lit office with the woman herself seated at her table rather expectantly.

“I’ve been looking forward to this meeting, Your Highness.”
