Chapter 3232: Powerful Elves

Chapter 3232: Powerful Elves

Naturally, they never stood a chance.

A smile emerged on Rui’s face as he breezed past them in the blink of an eye, knocking them out with a single blow, sometimes even less than one blow.

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!

Dark elves collapsed left and right as Rui took stock of their power and their abilities.

“The amount of vegetation they can manipulate is quite limited,” Rui murmured aloud. “Truly fascinating still.”

Yet, despite not having individualistic paths, their paths were still quite diverse. They could manipulate all manner of plant and vegetation in a diverse set of ways and use them to try to take him down in a variety of ways.

Branches became sharp javelins and spikes.

Leaves became blades.

Roots became shackles.

There were even some who manipulated the soil to develop quick-sand-like properties, trying to swallow him up.

And yet, not a single one of them could leave even a single mark on Rui.

WHOOSH

He casually evaded a strange wooden sword from an elven man, striking his diaphragm, leaving him on the ground, unable to breathe. Behind him, a flurry of branches shot at him, trying to cleave him in half.

WHOOSH

He summersaulted in the air, evading them effortlessly as he sky-walked away.

“Attack!” Several dark elves mounted a joint root attack that surged from the ground upwards, threatening to blast him into the sky.

“Weak.”

BOOM!

A single tap with his foot was all it took for him to crush the wood, sending splinters and sawdust into the air.

And yet, to their credit, they didn’t give up entirely.

“Die!” one dark elf screamed.

“Die? This is supposed to be a spar,” Rui murmured as a giant plant emerged from the ground, blooming into a powerful flower before launching a blast of pollen spores at him.

Time slowed down in Rui’s eyes as they lit up with intrigue.

The spores were genetically modified and were essentially a form of bionanites that would consume any fauna species that wasn’t a dark elf.

“Fascinating.” Rui simply stood there as he inhaled all the spores in.

The dark elves widened their eyes with shock as he allowed the spores to enter his body. “Hey! You’re supposed to dodge that!”

“Quick, administer the kill-switch before he dies!”

The dark elf woman who was responsible for the attack widened her eyes with shock. “They’re already dead… they died the moment they entered his body…”

The dark elves shook where they stood at those words as their attention returned to Rui with a stunned gaze.

“Yes, well…” A confident smile emerged on Rui’s face. “There is only one other person’s living tissue in the world that could survive entering my body, I’m afraid.”

The moment spores even touched his tissue to try and consume them from the inside, the Gu voraciously leaped forth, utterly annihilating and extinguishing any life in them.

They stared at him with a stunned gaze while Rui simply inhaled deeply.

THWOOM THWOOM THWOOM!

One after another, he fired Sonic Bullets, weakened enough that they wouldn’t do any serious damage to any of them. He ruthlessly began mowing them down one after another, as they struggled to defend against such a powerful attack.

“Rgh…!”

“Ahhhh!”

“Help!”

BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!

Rui cleared out a whole section of dark elves as he observed their ability to defend against his mid-range sound attacks with some curiosity.

“Not bad.”

The attack were quasi-Squire-level, and despite that, the strongest among the dark elves were barely able to hold out for some time, before eventually collapsing.

Despite the sheer ease with which he overcame them, Rui had to admit that he was impressed.

“Human Martial Apprentices will have an extremely difficult time dealing with these fellows,” Rui realized. “They are quite powerful and many of them would give even myself as a Martial Apprentice extreme difficulty, if not be too much for me to overcome.”

The biggest impediment was the environmental manipulation. Martial Apprentices couldn’t fly in the air, thus roots were far too big a problem. Of course, with their senses, they could detect, them, but they were far too exposed to roots beneath them to be able to fight appropriately.

“At the lowest echelon of power, the dark elves actually have an advantage over Martial Artists.” He realized. “At least in this environment.”

If the Martial Apprentices fought in any other continent, they would likely win. But in the Genora Continent, their chances of victory were simply too slim. This entire continent was, quite literally, built to give an advantage to the elves. In here, the terrain factor was far, far too stacked in their favor. If the Martial Apprentices of human civilization tried invading this continent and faced their weakest warriors alone, the terrain advantage would wipe them out.

“No wonder they have managed to preserve this continent for so long.” A smile of respect emerged on Rui’s face. “On this continent, they are invulnerable and invincible for the most part. Even if they could theoretically be overwhelmed by vastly greater numbers from two or more powerhouse civilizations, the cost would vastly exceed the worth of doing such a thing. Now…”

He set his sights deeper into the vast expanse of the Forest of War.

He hadn’t even fought all the lowest echelons of the elven warriors, but he didn’t have time to fight all of them. Nor was it acceptable for him to fight all of them and hurt all of them. That would be like a picking a fight with the many millions of Martial Apprentices in the Panama Continent and knocking them all out.

He quickly surged deeper at great speeds, eager and excited to see what stronger dark elves were capable of.

Whether they understood what was happening or not, or whether they informed or not, the stronger dark elves were prepared for his arrival.

His eyes widened as he found himself facing off against a legion of dark elves that had formed a defensive formation.

They warped the trees around them to form many defensive lines while the equivalent of siege weapons had been in place, ready to intercept him.

“ATTACK!”
