The Martial Unity

Chapter 2706 Darwin's Forge

Chapter 2706  Darwin’s Forge

It took a while to bring together all the many complex elements of his Squire Evolution domain together.

It was easily the smallest domain that he had ever created, but it was also probably the most sophisticated domain he would ever create. The sheer number of processes that would be happening within the were more than all his other domain techniques put together.

The only exception would be Hellverse which was a series of partial domains to create the most antithetical environment for each monster he had once encounteed.

By the time he had finally fleshed out the technique, more than a day has passed.

“Tsk, I wasn’t able to finish it in a single day.”

The fact that it took the Forge of Creation this long to finish it showed just how complex and difficult the technique was. For one, it was not easy to apply the CREATION System to creating a technique to facilitate Squire Evolution because the CREATION System was centered around creating the most antithetical technique.

In this case, Rui only wanted to do so for ensuring the filtration process would produce the desired outcomes.

Thus, the Forge of Creation was not equipped to create techniques outside of combat that weren’t for the sake of defeating his opponent.

“This is a limitation that I will have to overcome in the future.”

For now, he was satisfied with the results of his efforts. It was hardly a refined domain, and it couldn’t compare to the Kandrian Empire’s process, but it was still probably much better than the Squire Evolution process of most Squire-level nations.

“Darwin’s Forge.”

That was the name he had given to the forge that he had created.

“Alright time to get the preparations ready.”

When the Martial Apprentice heard that Rui was willing to break him through to the Squire Realm, he was beside himself with joy.

“I am eternally grateful for this gift, Your Highness.” He bowed deeply. “I will be sure to put this gift to good use.”

“We will begin in a few days, in the meantime, I need you to follow some instructions and restrictions.”

There were plenty of things that needed to be prepared before Squire Evolution process be gone through.

No alcohol or other substances was a basic, but Rui rattled of a list of things that he needed to keep in mind.

“Understood, I will follow your words absolutely, Your Highness!” the Apprentice grew determined.

To his credit, that was exactly what he did over the next few days.

Perhaps Rui’s warning about the painful consequences of failing to comply with his conditions were enough, or his regard for Rui was strong enough, but he made sure that he didn’t break a single rule.

In the mean time, Rui and Amare protected the village. It was quite easy considering that this village was blessed with only experiencing the weakest of monsters and beasts.

The continent was too wide for beast and monsters to be able to walk every step of it.

There were plenty of little blindspots where small groups of humans managed to desperately cling to survival.

Regardless, Rui focused himself for the procedure.

It would last many hours as it wouldn’t be easy to evolve every cell of his body within a shorter timeframe.

Rui prepared himself to ensure that his stamina would last that long.

And eventually, it was time. “Ready?”

The Apprentice’s eyes narrowed with determination.

“Yes, Your Highness.”

“Once it begins, you won’t be able to stop,” Rui reminded him. “The pain is beyond anything you can even begin to imagine, I promise you. It is the single most painful experience in my entire life by far. Nothing even comes close.”

“…I understand,” he clenched his fist. “I am prepared.”

“Then, let’s begin.” Rui activated his Realms of power, protecting him and everybody else from his Martial Embodiment. And soon, Darwin’s Forge blazed to life. “AAARRGGGHHHHRRRHHHRR!!!!!” The Martial Apprentice howled with excruciating agony as he felt his body burn, tear, break, and dissolve under the filtration processes that Rui had devised for him. The domain began baking him in just enough gamma radiation to cause genetic divergence but not enough to cause genetic damage.

It was an extremely thin line that he had to walk.

And thus, began the process.

With each round of filtration, a majority of the cells of a particular system or organ died while Rui triggered a Weaving Blood-like healing in him, allowing the Apprentice to heal the dead cells.

And thus, his body evolved.

He evolved as a physical being.

His DNA began diverging from that of the human species, becoming what human might have become after many eons of evolution in a harsh environment that require physical ability to survive.

The pain only grew worse and worse, causing an unfathomable agony to him. And yet, it was working.

Rui paid attention like a hawk, never taking his attention off the process for even the slightest of milliseconds. Since the Martial Apprentice had entrusted his life to Rui, he was obligated to ensure that he would protect it.

After a more than half a day of labor, he finally reached the brain.

Ordinarily, he would have never been able to maintain his Realms of power active for so long, but with the Blood of Solaris, it was no sweat at all.

When he finally reached the brain, Rui knew he had to quick. The human brain was already experiencing information overload, if he waited for too long, then he would begin suffering a seizure and experience brain damage.

And thus, he exposed the Apprentice to his partially restrained Embodiment, with the Embodiment Firewall technique that he had created in the Sekigahara Confederate. Thus, he was able to ensure that he could kill neurons at a certain rate rather than all out. Simultaneously, he applied the healing potion to his subject.

It wasn’t too long after that before the process was finally done. Rui heaved a sigh, deactivating his Realms of power as he placed the newly forged Squire down.

A smile emerged on his face as the newfound Martial Squire opened his eyes.

“Success.”
