Chapter 2652 Seed of Change
Chapter 2652 Seed of Change
The next day, it was time to get to work.
Much to his surprise, countless aspirants, Squires, and Seniors had gathered before him in an enormous field, eager to gain his blessings.
The scorn that once lingered in their eyes at him was replaced with apprehensive eagerness.
They felt an instinctual disgust at his facial features, but tales of his extraordinary splendor that had all but blazed through the Martial Community of the Solaris Kingdom had earned him their sincere admiration.
The fact that he now had the blood of Solaris running through his veins also endeared him closer to the sol people. He was now, in some ways, a member of the sol race in their eyes.
More importantly, people sought power.
To be broken through to a higher Realm, to gain the power to bring hell to the filthy beasts and monsters, and most importantly, to gain magical mastery upon light as described by all those who bore witness to the battle between Void Prince and the finest of what the Solaris Kingdom had to offer.
The queen, Sage Dawlish, and other important leaders within the Solaris Kingdom come to witness the momentous occasion.
The fact of the matter was that the ability to trigger breakthroughs was just as revolutionary and shocking to them as it had been to the rest of the Martial World. They didn’t want to witness the legendary power at work.
And they didn’t. Once Rui began, breakthroughs began spreading through the crowd like popping popcorn. All those who bore witness to the extraordinary process could not help but drop their jaws with unadulterated shock as Rui raised tens of thousands of new Apprentices, hundreds of Seniors, and dozens of Masters!
“And now, for the Hellbringer and light-bending,” Rui continued.
He imparted his knowledge and system of thought to all Martial Artists of the Upper Realms. All the Martial Masters and Sages grew absolutely absorbed with all the information he imparted to them. The properties of light in different media, its polarity, wavelength, and frequency, electromagnetic radiation and its causes, Maxwell’s Theory of Electromagnetism, and other relevant topics.
“This knowledge… it’s beyond us,” the Masters gasped.
“You will need to develop a powerful mathematical foundation if you want to fully understand it,” Rui shrugged. “I’d suggest you get to work immediately.”
Queen Lianiala smiled at him with appreciation.
“We will be eternally grateful to your services, Dawnbringer.”
A wave of surprise swept through the crowd as she addressed him with his most well-known epithet.
There was a reason that they had abstained from doing so all this time. It had significant religious and ethnic connotations that they didn’t wish to attribute to an outsider.
And yet, Queen Lianiala had grown truly appreciative of everything that he had done for the Solaris Kingdom.
“You have proven that even those without the blood of Solaris can exceed those with his blood in the art of light-bending,” she told him loudly and publically. “You have proven that blind belief in sol supremacy is foolish and arrogant. You have shown us that even outsiders can far exceed us when it comes to light-bending…”
Rui immediately understood that while she was facing him and uttering those words to him, she was, in actuality, directing her message to everybody else around her.
Martial Artists around them, both new and old, had just developed an extremely high opinion of Rui with deep appreciation and gratitude for the power that he had imparted to them. Due to the positive and optimistic air, she was able to frame her message of humility and modesty in a manner that truly appealed to them and caused them to reconsider some of their most fundamental beliefs of sol supremacy.
Naturally, she didn’t instantly change their mind.
People were not robots who could change in an instant with a single software update.
And yet, she had planted the seed of change.
Over time, as Rui’s gifts and blessings began making a more and more positive impact on their nation, this seed would germinate and pave the path for a social and political revolution.
Of course, there were people who didn’t like this. Sage Dawlish clenched his fists as he gritted his teeth.
Yet, he couldn’t openly defy the queen in front of everybody.
He was wise enough to recognize that he had lost not only the battle but also the war. Once, before the Beast Incursion, the supremacist ideology that used to be dominant slowly began to experience cracks as this very sociocultural and political ideology began harming the kingdom in the Era of Darkness.
And the Dawnbringer had been yet another impact, rattling the nation and further accelerating change.
“…And thus, we will grow stronger and stronger as Martial Artists, as a nation, and as a people.” She concluded her speech with a powerful tone and a confident smile.
The Martial Artists around her erupted in approving applause while the air grew increasingly more charged with jubilance and euphoria from the magical breakthroughs that had happened not much prior.
And thus, Rui had completed his tasks in the Solaris Kingdom, and soon enough, it was time to leave.
“Thank you for everything you have done for our nation, Dawnbringer,” Queen Lianiala saw him off at the transit port of the nation’s border walls. “We adhere to the original commitment to ensure that your Water Sect will thrive in our nation and ensure that we will never forget our pact to aid you to our greatest power should you ever require it of us.”
Rui smiled at her. “I appreciate your commitment. Good luck dealing with the Beast Incursion.”
“We don’t need luck, not when we have your gifts,” she replied with a friendly tone. “Good luck in your mission across human civilization. This era, this civilization requires your power more than you realize. Only when all of the strongest powers across human civilization gain it will they commit to the solution of harmony that your father has proposed to unite humanity.”
It wasn’t long be Rui and Amare departed from the Solaris Kingdom together.
