The Magnificent Son-in-law
Chapter 1232 - 1232: Also a Yin Yang Master
A series of "ka ka" sounds prompted Xiao Feng to tense up reflexively, preparing for battle.
The reason was simple: every time this sound appeared, it never heralded a good event.
This was the case when helping Old Master Sun find his ancestral property in Jiuyou Town, and also when visiting the Master of Casting, Tie Bushan, in Iron Village.
Xiao Feng quickly observed the expressions of the people around him, all showing indifference, as if they were well aware of what would happen next.
From this, it seemed that there wouldn't be any dangerous situations occurring.
As the "ka ka" sounds became increasingly dense and compact, the dance floor in the center slowly descended by ten centimeters, then split from the middle, moving to the sides.
A minute later, wide and downward-extending steps appeared before everyone.
"Please, Brother Xiao!"
Qiu Junxian said politely, stepping down the stairs to lead the way, introducing the underground building hidden beneath the disco, including its cost, the number of work hours involved, the purpose of its construction, and more.
Xiao Feng wasn't particularly interested in these details and, amidst the chatter, whispered to Wang Tingwei: "Did you notice anything off about Meng Ke'er?"
"You're so brilliant, there's something you can't discern that you need to ask me?" Wang Tingwei smiled faintly, lowering her voice to respond.
Xiao Feng was immediately displeased, wondering if this woman was an "Yin Yang Master" on top of being a Master of Tea Art?
Once everyone had descended the stairs, Meng Ke'er reached out and pressed a button on the wall, causing the disco floor to slowly return to its original state…
From the area alone, the underground building appeared to be at least five times larger than the disco.
The carpet underfoot, up to the ceiling, measured at a height of about seven to eight meters!
The lowest level was divided into two halves.
One half was a spacious area set up with grills, hot pots, various drinks, tables, chairs, stools, and more, resembling a large buffet restaurant.
The other half had beds laid out, with two neighboring beds that could be joined together, and there were partitions about one and a half meters high on either side, presumably for convenience when men and women… cough.
Qiu Junxian introduced with a smile: "Brother Xiao, please see, here..."
Before he could finish, Xiao Feng interrupted: "Brother Qiu, I have a question I'd like to ask."
Qiu Junxian paused for a moment, quickly replying: "To say it's asking for advice is a bit of an exaggeration, Brother Xiao. Feel free to ask, and I'll share all I know."
Meanwhile, he was mentally prepared, focusing fully to handle the inquiry.
Xiao Feng chuckled, saying: "There's a certain type of woman who relies on her looks to trick people, cheating them out of meals, drinks, houses, cars, and sometimes indulging in petty schemes. How does Brother Qiu perceive such people?"
After saying this, he glanced around at the wealthy young men and said: "Anyone can discuss their views, feel free to speak your mind."
"Uh…" Qiu Junxian didn't expect Xiao Feng to ask such a question.
Was he insinuating something?
Or was there another intention?
The other wealthy young men exchanged looks, unable to grasp why Xiao Feng suddenly dragged the topic to "manipulative women."
Only Wang Tingwei, whose expression grew increasingly unpleasant, knew that Xiao Feng intended to retaliate and cause her distress.
Another person who also felt offended, Meng Ke'er, frowned and asked: "Is Mr. Xiao implying me?"
"How could that be?" Qiu Junxian interjected: "Brother Xiao is straightforward, always speaking openly, not one to imply."
"Brother Qiu is right!" Xiao Feng said without flinching: "I prefer to discuss social phenomena, focusing on the issue, not on the people..."
Having spoken, he turned his gaze to Wang Tingwei.
Observing this, Qiu Junxian quickly contemplated, gradually feeling as though he understood something...
He perceived that Xiao Feng brought up the topic of "manipulative women" most likely because the woman beside Pei Dengke was one, but Xiao Feng was too polite to point it out directly and instead chose to express his frustration indirectly.
Looking at Pei Dengke, who was visibly intoxicated, swaying on the spot and struggling to keep his eyes open, seemingly ready to fall over at any moment.
"Miss, Pei looks like he's had too much to drink. Maybe help him to that bed over there for a nap." Qiu Junxian suggested with a smile.
"Alright." Wang Tingwei agreed, supporting Pei Dengke as she walked toward a nearby bed.
After Wang Tingwei left, Qiu Junxian spoke: "Brother Xiao's question is interesting. Personally, I strongly dislike the type of women Brother Xiao mentioned.
These women often have a materialistic and hypocritical nature, willing to sell themselves for money, and deluding themselves that they're playing men for fools.
To put it bluntly, these women, essentially, are no different from streetwalkers!
In fact, they're even worse than streetwalkers!"
"Well said!" Xiao Feng raised his voice abruptly, saying loudly in the direction of Wang Tingwei: "Worse than streetwalkers! Brother Qiu, could you explain why they're worse?"
This action further convinced Qiu Junxian that he had guessed the truth correctly. After a brief contemplation, he organized his words and said: "The most basic point is that streetwalkers have set prices and no gimmicks."
"Hahaha!"
Xiao Feng burst into laughter, his laughter echoing throughout the underground space, then turned to the others: "Everyone, say a few words, express your views."
With Qiu Junxian's attitude made clear, the other wealthy young men understood the direction.
A vehement condemnation about "manipulative women" thus began.
Some who'd fallen victim to the Master of Tea Art vented their outrage, swearing loudly and viciously.
"Smack!"
A sharp sound.
While feeding Pei Dengke water, Wang Tingwei shattered the glass she was holding.
However, at that moment, she couldn't act out, only breathing out and in to restrain the urge to stab all the wealthy young men one by one.
Just then, another who couldn't listen any longer, Meng Ke'er, spoke up: "Mr. Xiao, since we're expressing freely, may I also share my view?"
"Of course!" Xiao Feng nodded.
In a calm tone, Meng Ke'er said: "To exploit beauty for material gain is certainly despicable behavior.
But if all blame is placed on women, isn't that unfair?
Consider this: why do men get deceived? Isn't it because they're enamored by the woman's beauty?"
Upon hearing this, the wealthy young men felt somewhat unhappy, but due to Qiu Junxian's presence, they didn't express it, only looked to Xiao Feng to see how he'd respond.
Not far away, Wang Tingwei perked up upon hearing a different view, and mentally applauded Meng Ke'er a thousand times.
Qiu Junxian, however, tugged Meng Ke'er's sleeve, cautioning her not to continue.
He genuinely couldn't comprehend why the typically sensible Ke'Er had suddenly behaved out of character today?
At this moment, Xiao Feng stroked his chin, seemingly pondering the issue seriously, and after a brief pause said: "This question is inherently controversial. How about I tell a story first, and Miss Meng can give her opinion afterward?"
"Mr. Xiao, please go ahead. I'm all ears," Meng Ke'er replied.
