Chapter 81: Taking a floral Bath

"Moon..." he started. His voice was soft in the quiet room.

"No," Moon said sternly even before Nox could finish.

"I didn’t even say..."

"Still no, whatever you want." Saying that, Moon stood up and wanted to go to bed again.

But suddenly, a rough hand grabbed him from behind, lifting him up in a princess carry.

"Fuck!" Moon grunted loudly.

Axe just chuckled as he held him tightly in his embrace. "Shh! Baby, you need a refreshing bath first."

"I said no!" Moon shrieked.

"You are just afraid we will fuck you," Axe said bluntly. He lowered Moon into the warm water.

Moon flailed his hands in the air as Axe pressed his shoulder against the wooden headrest Nox had prepared with an extra pillow.

The warm water touched his rigid skin.

The soft petals melted beneath him. For a second, Moon felt like his body was not his own, and he was just a floating bubble.

Feeling completely comfortable in the warmth, he finally stopped struggling.

’Oh! Why does this feel so good?’ He thought in his mind.

[This is an Amomilla Moon Crest bath, meant to soak a pack Luna only during their pregnancy. Gentle, warm, and luxurious.] the Moon Goddess whispered.

Moon was happy to know this was an exclusive bath, but he felt like something was very wrong.

Despite the confusion in his mind, his tired body greedily sank down into the water, taking in every bit of fragrance and comfort it gave.

But slowly, he felt different.

The pale, transparent blue water covered his body like the moonlight was falling on the spiritual spring in his world.

Moon had never bathed in a spiritual spring, but he had heard it was warm and gentle.

Moon closed his eyes and hummed in comfort. He totally forgot he was very much against the bath.

Soon, he felt his divine sea was waving inside.

It was stimulating his Qi and his core. With a soft hum, his newly fused three cores started to rotate again, making the metal melt into the earth, and the earth embrace the plant.

His spiritual sea became smooth, flowing gently through all his meridians, slowly unlocking more knots, and spreading furiously to unlock more.

Nox looked at the suddenly quieted-down figure in the tub and sighed in relief.

The three of them still had some treasure left that was stolen from the pack inventory.

They had worked hard to collect them.

So, when Moon and Nox went to sell the pills, Axe and Ugo, after selling their own things, bought some extra materials to dissolve the Amomilla Moon Crest flower and mix them into a floral bath.

Nox took off his sash belt and threw it on the floor mat, then sat right at the edge of the tub, his broad palm pressing against Moon’s shoulder to massage him slowly.

After a while, Moon’s eyes slowly opened and stared directly into Nox’s eyes from below. "How did you make this bath?"

Nox was startled.

He didn’t prepare an answer, so he looked at Axe and Ugo—who were, one sitting on a chair sipping tea, and the other leaning on the headboard, looking at Moon.

Moon’s eyes darted to Axe for an answer.

"We had some Amomilla Moon Crest flower. We just dissolved them with a few spirit grasses and begonia dew," he said nonchalantly.

"Amomilla Moon Crest flower is something some defected wolves carry on a whim in a fugitive city?" Moon said sarcastically.

He already knew this was something only pack leaders keep safe for their future heirs’ comfortable and safe birth process.

"Oh... That was what Leo collected from Ellen."

"From Ellen, his childhood sweetheart?" Moon knitted his brows.

"Yes, that one," Axe shrugged.

"She just gave him this flower for nothing?"

"Well... that was probably because Leo was pestering her too much and threatened to expose her to Silas, so she got scared," Axe said, thinking for a while. He didn’t really pay attention to that matter.

"How many lovers did she have?" Moon suddenly asked.

He found it absurd to talk, but curiosity took the better of him. Maybe it was because he was relaxed after long, long days.

"Who knows! Leo maybe knows. He is the one who usually was beside her."

"Ahem, ahem!" Ugo from the chair coughed loudly.

"It’s not what you think. Even though we all had many so-called friends, neither was actually serious," Ugo said softly, desperately glaring at Axe.

"Umm," Moon hummed, and closed his eyes again.

Still, he didn’t find it believable that just this threat could take an heirloom-level treasure from a girl.

He suddenly remembered what he had heard at the Last Hole.

Leo was indeed always pestering Ellen. Moon thought he still had feelings for her.

But it seems there is more to it than what he had just heard.

He suddenly remembered that Leo was hung up on the third gate for causing trouble after he went to the Last Hole.

He had gone to the steward and wrecked the entire administration to enter the palace. He had even barged into the crown prince’s palace and beat him up.

"So what did Leo do that they hung him up on the third gate?" he suddenly asked. This time the question was aimed at Ugo.

Ugo’s finger swirled around the teacup, but he kept silent.

Moon scoffed softly, closing his eyes in comfort at Nox’s shoulder massage.

"Why did he beat the crown prince?" he changed the question.

Ugo kept silent, and Axe just grunted.

But Nox, as he couldn’t bear his brothers’ attitude anymore, blurted out,

"To steal the Amomilla Moon Crest flower and the Alpine Dark Montis Mantle."

"Shut up, Nox!"

"Fuck off!"

Both Ugo and Axe shouted at the same time.

That startled Nox even more. His palm on Moon’s shoulder tightened for a moment, then weakened.

"It’s fine. What is there to be ashamed of stealing? You stole right in front of my eyes in the witch’s cavern," Moon said, his eyes flashing with amusement and lingering resentment.
