The Mage's 5 Fated Alphas (BL)
Chapter 214: It’s almost night!
’Hell! Who wants your blood moon? Take back the blessing!’ he grumbled.
But the Moon Goddess had already disappeared from his mind.
Moon exhaled and slowly approached Chika.
He took out a healing pill and fed it to him.
The black wolf was barely moving.
Moon stared at him for a moment before looking toward Lupine.
"Put him somewhere safe. He needs time to recover."
They carried Chika into a nearby cave and left him there to rest.
By nightfall, he should have recovered enough to try his luck.
With this initial success, Moon went back to adjust it a little.
He put full shape-shifting leaves this time. Though he only had six leaves now. But that means six batches. He also added Bone-Softening Crystal a little bit.
Though his first batch this time exploded from using gengjin, his second batch was successful as he added moonlit dew to counter gengjin.
Soon his pill took shape, and he refined another three batches, producing six middle-grade pills and thirteen low-grade pills.
Afterward, he took a short rest before preparing a mixture of Gengjin Spirit Marrow, Amomila Crest Flower, and honeydew.
Once he had finished, he refined another batch of calming pills, producing four low-grade pills. He already had one from before, so that was enough.
Moon placed all the pills aside and took a nap for a while.
By the time he woke up, it was already past noon.
The afternoon had slipped away while he was sleeping, and dusk was slowly creeping over the sanctuary.
Xiao Hong came with a roasted duck and a pot of wine.
Moon ate the meat but looked at the wine suspiciously.
Anything Xiao Hong brought could have some suspicious element mixed into it.
"They are clean," Lupine assured him.
They were still sitting around the chair and table. For some reason, none of them seemed to be leaving.
Even the frosty Frostbane had appeared at some point, though Moon hadn’t noticed when.
He picked up the wine and drank it.
Then he looked toward the distant, orange-shaded sky.
Moon was dazed by the setting sun. His body flinched a few times.
"Are you sure it was clean? I’m feeling dizzy." Moon frowned as he looked at the wine.
"Ayia... Would I make fun of you at such a serious time? Mooney, baby, you’re hurting this beauty’s feelings!" Xiao Hong pretended to sob, wiping her eyes several times.
Moon was about to ask more when a very beautiful figure suddenly materialized in the air.
The Moon Goddess, who hadn’t appeared openly for some time, had finally come out again.
"Now you have time to come out, you little brat!" Lupine scoffed, stroking his beard.
The Moon Goddess ignored him and turned toward Moon.
[You can’t do this inside the Lost Realm. I have very little influence here. You have to come out to Monalis.]
Moon’s mouth fell open.
’You’re telling me this now? It’s almost night!’
He had assumed the Lost Realm would be the safest place to undergo the awakening. He hadn’t made any arrangements outside.
And the inn would be a terrible place for something like this.
Not to mention, this wasn’t an ordinary awakening.
"Goddess! How am I supposed to leave now? The entire Grand Plaza is under curfew!" Moon almost cried.
"Heh! Moon, you don’t have to worry about that. We elders are here for a reason. We’ll oversee you for the night." Lupine cackled.
"Oversee? Oversee what?" Moon asked in bewilderment.
Even if he was ignorant about the practical intensity of it, he had still experienced one full moon when he was transported.
He knew there would definitely be some shameful moments.
"Oversee your progress. Don’t take it too lightly." Lupine said very seriously, combing his beard.
But his eyes gave away how excited he was.
"Thank you, but no need. I have a plan."
Moon waved his hand and stored away everything on the platform.
As the sun sank lower and the sky gradually dimmed, Moon felt another tingling sensation.
He turned over his shoulder and asked Xiao Hong again.
"You really didn’t feed me something weird?"
"No! I swear on my Dao!" Xiao Hong said with an aggrieved face.
Moon looked around at all the spirits surrounding him.
Suddenly, he felt as if they had gathered to bid farewell to their daughter on her wedding day.
He did feel nervous.
But he didn’t trust any of them very much.
Lupine was the only one he could trust and rely on a little. But he really didn’t want him to oversee such a matter.
The Moon Goddess was someone who always vanished when he needed her most.
And Xiao Hong...
Forget about her.
She had a very strange sense of urgency regarding this matter.
As for Frostbane and Ghost Master, he didn’t know them, so naturally, he had no reason to trust them.
"Don’t peek into my privacy," he warned them again before he transported himself to the inn.
As soon as his feet touched the hard wooden floor, he frowned.
The room was pitch-black.
Not a single lamp was lit, and there was a faint, rusty smell of earth and grass.
Even with his immortal eyes, he couldn’t see clearly.
There must be something weird here...
Moon instinctively tried to transport himself back, but he couldn’t.
"...."
A creepy feeling swept across his spine.
"Have you eaten?"
A deep voice sounded behind him.
Moon exhaled sharply.
It was Ugo.
"Umm. I ate."
"Then let’s go."
Before Moon could ask anything else, a sudden whirlwind swept around him.
His feet left the ground, and he felt as though he were falling.
That unpleasant feeling of falling came back, and he instinctively wanted to grab something.
When the whirlwind stopped, he suddenly found himself out in the open beneath the night sky.
Silver moonlight flooded his vision.
For a moment, the moon seemed so close that he felt as though he could reach out and touch it.
He steadied himself and looked around.
Ugo, Nox, and Axe were sitting on the grass nearby, looking as if they had been planted there.
