The Mafia King of Philadelphia: From witness to his doted wife
Chapter 170: You stole my husband
The footsteps were not rushed or hesitant but controlled. Sienna slowly stepped down. The first thing she saw was a man dressed in white. Then another. Then another. They moved through the mansion as though they belonged there.
Sienna’s eyes widened. Where were Viktor’s men? She looked toward the entrance. The guards who were usually stationed there were nowhere in sight. No gunshots. No shouting. Nothing.
They had simply been overpowered before anyone inside had even realized there was a problem. Sienna’s pulse quickened. Then she heard heels against the marble floor.
Click. She turned toward the sound. And stopped. Aliya walked into the living room as if she were stepping onto a red carpet.
A white mini bodycon dress hugged her figure. A fluffy white coat rested over her shoulders, and matching white heels clicked against the floor with every confident step. White sunglasses covered her eyes. Everything about her looked deliberate. Expensive. Untouchable.
She looked nothing like the woman Sienna had known or the same person Viktor was shouting about minutes ago. Behind her came Don Capri. Then Elena. And Marcel.
All three looked remarkably composed considering where they had just come from. Sienna’s gaze moved from them to the men in white. Then back to Aliya. It took her only seconds to understand.
So this is what happened. Everything suddenly fit together. Sienna’s stomach sank. Viktor’s anger finally made sense. Aliya stopped in the middle of the room. For the first time, she seemed to notice Sienna standing there. Her lips curved.
"Hello, Sienna," Sienna said nothing. Her eyes moved over Aliya once more. The white dress. The fluffy coat. The sunglasses. And then the enormous diamond ring on her finger.
Aliya casually lifted her hand and adjusted it. The stone caught the light. Sienna wondered if Aliya had any idea what she looked like. A white doll someone had taken out of an expensive display case. Except there was something different in her eyes now.
Confidence. Power. And a very obvious desire to make sure everyone knew she had it. Sienna kept her face perfectly calm. She wasn’t going to give Aliya the satisfaction of seeing her reaction.
Aliya smiled. She had expected something. Fear, perhaps. Anger. Surprise. Instead, Sienna simply stood there. Watching. Waiting to see what new disaster had just walked into her husband’s house.
Aliya took another step into the room. Her sunglasses hid her eyes, but the smile on her lips said enough. "You know how fate works, Sienna?"
Sienna remained silent. Aliya lifted her hand, admiring the diamond ring on her finger. "Viktor was mine all along." Her gaze settled on Sienna.
"You just happened to be in the way." Sienna’s fingers curled around the railing of the staircase. Aliya continued.
"And guess what?" She smiled wider. "My father is Don Konstantin." The words landed heavily. Sienna’s grip tightened.
"My real father." Aliya slowly removed her sunglasses. "And that marriage pact I told you about?" She held Sienna’s gaze. "It was always mine." Sienna’s face remained still.
Inside, however, something had dropped straight through her. Aliya took another step. "Can you believe it?" She laughed softly. "You stole my husband." Her voice hardened.
"And now I’m going to need you to give him back." Don Capri stood behind her, watching with quiet satisfaction. Aliya’s smile disappeared. "My father is going to bring hell down on you." She paused.
"No." Her eyes sharpened. "I’ll bring hell down on you myself." She glanced around the mansion. "And Viktor won’t be able to stop it." Sienna’s eyes moved toward the men standing behind Aliya. White suits. Weapons. Calm faces.
Not one of Viktor’s men had managed to stop them. "You see how quickly my men silenced Viktor’s men?" Aliya looked back at her."It took seconds." She tilted her head. "I heard you’re smart." A challenge sat in her voice. "So tell me, Sienna."
"What is it going to be?" Before Sienna could answer, Elena stepped forward. "I always knew you didn’t belong here." Her voice was dripping with contempt.
"Why would you insist on staying in a place that doesn’t belong to you?" She looked Sienna up and down. "You gutter rat." Sienna’s jaw tightened.
"Get out." Don Capri joined in. "Throw her out." Two of the men in white moved forward. Sienna’s hand tightened around the railing. She didn’t move. But before the men could reach her, Aliya lifted a hand.
"No." They stopped. Aliya’s smile returned. "She isn’t leaving." Don Capri looked at her. Aliya turned toward Sienna. "I want her here." Her voice became colder. "I want her to watch." Sienna stared at her.
"I want her humiliated." Aliya slowly walked closer. "I want her to stand right here and watch Viktor choose me." She glanced toward the hallway. "And when he does, I’ll make sure he casts you aside like the dirty whore you are."
Sienna’s nails dug into the wooden railing. She could feel the smooth surface beneath her fingers. Could hear her own heartbeat. But she refused to give Aliya the reaction she wanted.
Don Konstantin. The name kept echoing inside her head. If Aliya really was his daughter... Then everything had changed. The marriage pact. The missing daughter. The powerful family Viktor had been investigating. The very people they had feared making enemies of.
Sienna swallowed. It couldn’t be. Could it? Fate couldn’t possibly be this cruel. Aliya couldn’t actually be the missing daughter. The supposed fiancée Viktor had been promised to before Sienna had ever entered his life.
Sienna looked at Don Capri. Then Elena. Then the men surrounding them. The arrogance. Sienna kept her back straight. Her eyes stayed on Aliya. But inside, something was beginning to crack. Not because she believed Aliya deserved Viktor.
Because she knew Viktor. And if Aliya truly was Don Konstantin’s daughter... This wasn’t going to be a simple choice.
The study door opened. Viktor stepped into the hallway. Marcus was right behind him. He stopped almost immediately. His eyes swept across the living room. Men in white.
His men missing. Don Capri. Elena. Marcel. And. Aliya. Viktor’s expression went completely still. For one second, he didn’t understand what he was seeing.
Then his gaze moved. To Sienna. She was standing by the stairs. Her hand still wrapped around the railing. Viktor’s eyes narrowed. His entire body seemed to tense.
"How the hell..." The words died in his throat. How had they gotten inside? How had they crossed his security? How had they reached his wife? He looked around again.
