Yu Wen wrapped his palm around his length. It was hot and velvety in his hand. Li Jun pulsed against his grip, and a low whine escaped Li Jun’s throat. It was the type of sound Yu Wen was eager to hear again.

Li Jun’s head tipped back, exposing the column of his throat. A bead of sweat trailed down his neck before disappearing beneath his collar. Strands of his dark hair clung to his temple, damp with exertion.

Yu Wen began to stroke his hardness. His rhythm was uneven at first. He was still recovering from his own release, but Li Jun didn’t seem to notice or care. His hips rolled into Yu Wen’s grip, matching the pace, and his fingers dug into Yu Wen’s shoulders hard enough to bruise.

Then Li Jun surged forward and captured Yu Wen’s mouth in another kiss. Compared to before, the kiss was clumsier and less controlled. Their teeth clicked, and Li Jun’s breath came in sharp gusts against Yu Wen’s cheek as their lips slid together.

Yu Wen’s hand kept moving with slow pulls along Li Jun’s length, his thumb swiping across the slick tip on every upward stroke. The kiss swallowed the sounds Li Jun made, but Yu Wen felt them vibrate against his own lips.

Li Jun broke away with a gasp. His forehead pressed to Yu Wen’s temple, his breathing ragged and hot. "I—" The word dissolved into a moan as Yu Wen twisted his wrist on the downstroke.

And then Li Jun’s teeth sank into Yu Wen’s neck. The same spot. The exact same spot he had bitten before.

Yu Wen recognized the sharp bloom of sensation, the way it teetered on the edge between pleasure and pain. The mark had long healed, but his flesh was easily pierced. Yu Wen’s hand tightened reflexively, his pace quickening.

Li Jun cried out against his skin, the sound muffled but unmistakable, and then his entire body went rigid. His hips snapped forward once, twice more, and warmth spilled across Yu Wen’s knuckles. The pulse of it continued for long seconds while Li Jun shuddered in his lap. His teeth were still clamped on Yu Wen’s neck, and his breath came in harsh, sharp bursts.

Yu Wen held him through it. His free hand traced slow circles on Li Jun’s back, feeling the muscles jump and twitch beneath his palm. Li Jun’s teeth finally released their grip, and he sagged forward, forehead dropping to Yu Wen’s shoulder.

For a long moment, neither of them moved. The only sounds were their fast, unsteady breathing. Li Jun’s lips brushed Yu Wen’s throat. A feather-light kiss pressed to the fresh bite mark. Then another to his jaw. Another to the corner of his mouth.

"You," Li Jun murmured against his skin. "Are quite talented... General."

Yu Wen chuckled softly. He met Li Jun’s gaze and whispered, "Call me husband, and I will do it again."

Li Jun, "..."

Give this man an inch, and he will take a whole damn mile.

Yu Wen entered the situation room. The general was there with his subordinates. They had been waiting for over an hour, but the man hadn’t shown his face. Alex was also stubborn. Despite pressuring him, he refused to go and fetch Yu Wen.

His exact words were, "He had been informed, and he will turn up as soon as he is done with much more important matters." General Vane was enraged. What was more important than an imperial decree?

No matter how impatient they were, they could only wait. Just when they were cursing the man for being disrespectful and rude, Yu Wen walked in, seeming to be in a good mood.

He was indeed in an excellent mood. Li Jun hadn’t called him husband, but he still enjoyed the benefits. Just thinking about the feeling of having Li Jun’s mouth enveloping his hardness made him giddy inside.

He wanted to deal with this quickly and go back to spending his rest day well. He wanted to spend it with Li Jun and brush up his points. At this rate, he might get upgraded to boyfriend. Yes, Li Jun hadn’t claimed him as his boyfriend. He was thinking maybe he should plan an elaborate confession when General Vane interrupted his line of thought.

"General Yu, this just came in today," he said, pulling up the imperial order.

Yu Wen looked at it, and when he read it, he scoffed. This woman didn’t quit. Both of them. Even when Li Jun’s identity changed, they planned on making him miserable.

General Vane didn’t expect this reaction. Yu Wen had always been an unreadable, cold-faced bastard. No one could ever tell what he was thinking. This was the first time he had shown him a different face over an imperial order, nonetheless.

"As stated, I am to personally transport him back to the imperial palace immediately," he said, already prepared to arrest Zi Rui.

The warmth in Yu Wen eyes vanished instantly. His gaze hardened like the edge of a blade. His eyes burned with a fierce, icy fire that froze the room in fear. "Let me ask you something?" he said, his voice as calm as a lake, yet just beneath the surface was a whirlpool stirring up.

General Vane felt a shiver going down his spine. His Adam’s apple rippled under his skin as he swallowed the unsettling fear down. He composed himself and said, "You may?"

Yu Wen turned his gaze back to the floating screen and said, "Have you been idle lately?"

The man felt a biting chill all over his body. He was terrified, but he still answered his question. "No, sir."

"Is the war over?" Yu Wen asked again.

"No, sir."

"So why would you personally escort the prisoner back to the imperial palace when you have an entire base relying on you? General, I am just an assist. I am just here to support you, so if you leave, who do you expect to take up your responsibilities, huh?"

General Vane was speechless. Weren’t they all here to defend Elora? What did he mean by provide support? Wasn’t he an appointed general of the empire just like him?
