The Mad King's Heir
Chapter 142: Stamp on his possession
In his hand, Yu Wen was holding a fork with a watermelon, bringing it to Li Jun’s lips. Li Jun just stared at him with an expression that seemed to be asking, "What the hell are you doing here?" Yu Wen pulled the fork back and said, "Would you prefer the strawberries?"
The fruit platter was so pretty. One could tell that Yan Jia had put so much effort into creating this. When he arrived at the camp, he happened to pass by the cafeteria to get something to eat. He had been eating from nutrient pouches for the past few days. He just wanted to get a hot meal before taking a shower.
He could also take the opportunity to discuss things with the commanders, but when he checked the meals being served, his brow arched. Their menu was good, but it was never been this good. There were so many choices, and there was suddenly a fruit salad bar. Even with Red Valkyrie’s contribution to the budget, the meals shouldn’t be this impressive.
He asked Alex what the hell was going on. Alex was about to go and find out when the chef eagerly answered. It turned out they had an increased food budget lately, and there were massive deliveries in the past few days.
There were fresh foods at their disposal courtesy of the one named Zi Rui. He even gave them meal requests, and with all the ingredients provided, how could the chef refuse? His greedy self also wanted to eat some succulent ribs and spiced oxtail stew, so he readily agreed.
They were eating well for the past few days, so much so that his cheeks were a little fleshy. Not only that, but the medical bay was a whole new luxury experience. There was no staff shortage, and the equipment made running tests faster.
Hearing this, Yu Wen pursed his lips, lost in thought. He didn’t think Li Jun would do all this. He would like to think that he was doing this for him, but that would be too narcissistic, right? After eating, he took a long shower, washing away all the grime on his body. He didn’t want Li Jun to see him in a terrible state.
He even shaved the stubble on his chin. Hair neatly done, skin glowing, simply dressed and smelling really good, he approached Li Jun’s tent. Just as he reached the tent, Yan Jia stepped out. When she saw him, she was a little surprised.
She still showed a look of annoyance, but her cub was already married off. There was nothing she could do about it. "Be nice to him. He is not in a good mood," she said before walking away.
Li Jun was unaware that the person who came in was Yu Wen. He was so caught up in watching the dog-blooded drama going down in the series that he was mindlessly eating fruit from his hand. Yu Wen patiently fed him. He didn’t even make a sound as he did so. He just fed him with a smile, more than happy to serve him.
When Li Jun finally realized what was going on, more than half of the platter was gone. Li Jun’s heart was pumping so fast as he stared at the man sitting right next to him. Yu Wen brought the strawberry to Li Jun’s lips, but Li Jun didn’t eat it.
Instead, he asked, "Wh-why is it you?" with a stammer. Li Jun was genuinely shocked. He had no vigilance at all when Yan Jia was around. He was like a woman who is vigilant when she walked alone, but with her boyfriend, she would be as dumb as a rock and not even know which side of the street to walk on. Now it seemed he had no vigilance around Yu Wen either.
AN: I am guilty of that. Suddenly my feet don’t know how to walk right.
Yu Wen took the fork back and bit the strawberry in his mouth. Without warning, his hand shot out. He grabbed Li Jun’s chair and dragged him closer. Li Jun didn’t have time to react before his lips were pressed against Yu Wen’s. They were cool and sweet, sending tremors down Li Jun’s spine.
Li Jun’s mouth closed around the fruit; his lips pressed fully against Yu Wen’s. The strawberry crushed between them, pulp and juice, and then Yu Wen’s tongue swept across Li Jun’s bottom lip to catch the sweetness there. Li Jun made a sound. It was small, yet it stirred the heat in Yu Wen’s chest.
His hand found Li Jun’s t-shirt. His fingers curled into the fabric at his waist and pulled. Li Jun came forward with no resistance. He straddled Yu Wen, sitting on his lap. His fingers slipped to the back of Yu Wen’s neck, and the kiss deepened.
The kiss wasn’t frantic even though Yu Wen hadn’t had a taste in a long time. This was the thing that drove Li Jun insane. Yu Wen was kissing him like he had time, like every second could be stretched thin and examined. It was as though he was savoring the taste of him.
His tongue swept past Li Jun’s lips and found the remnants of the strawberry there. It was a lingering, tantalizing sweetness that made him hum in his chest when he tasted it. The taste of the fruit and Li Jun together was intoxicating. It made him want more.
Yu Wen’s free hand came up to thread through Li Jun’s hair. The strands were soft to the touch. He gently grabbed a fistful of it, his teeth nibbling on the man’s lower lip. Li Jun exhaled sharply through his nose when Yu Wen’s teeth sank into his flesh. Thinking he hurt him, Yu Wen let go. Before he could say anything, Li Jun spoke first.
"Again," he whispered against his mouth. "The biting. Do it again."
Yu Wen pulled back just far enough to look at him. Li Jun’s pupils were blown wide, and his slick and reddened lips were stained faintly pink at the center. Li Jun’s thumb traced a line down Yu Wen’s throat, from his jaw to the bite mark that was still so prominent.
The corner of Li Jun’s lips curled into a proud smirk. Yu Wen’s heart stirred seeing that smile. He knew what it meant. Li Jun was proud of his handiwork. He loved seeing the mark that he left on him. A stamp on his possession.
