Chapter 1229: 1229. I’m Going To Enjoy Breaking The Headmaster... By A Lot!

Valentina collapsed against the polished mahogany floor, her forehead pressed against the wood as she wept.

The sight of Lily and Diana, her precious, innocent girls, kissing the hands of her tormentor had severed something vital in her psyche. She was no longer fighting for her dignity; she was fighting for the remnants of her bloodline.

"Rex, please..." she croaked, her voice wet with blood and desperation. "I’ll do it..."

"I’ll give you everything... I will be whatever you want."

"I will let you destroy me, piece by piece, night after night, until there is nothing left of me but a husk."

"But please... spare them... Leave Lily, leave Diana, leave Helena and Elizabeth alone."

"Let them live their lives... Let them have their innocence!"

"Take all my suffering, all my pain, all my humiliation, but please... just leave them out of this."

She was offering herself as a human shield, a living sacrifice to buy back the souls of her children. It was the ultimate act of maternal martyrdom.

Rex didn’t respond with words. Instead, the air cracked with the sound of his movement.

SLAP.

The force of his palm connecting with her cheek sent her head spinning sideways. Her vision exploded in white sparks, and the metallic taste of blood flooded her mouth as her teeth split.

Before she could even process the shock, his fist came crashing into her jaw.

CRUNCH.

The sound of cartilage breaking was sickeningly loud in the quiet room. Valentina’s head snapped back, her body convulsing from the impact.

"Pathetic," Rex hissed.

He grabbed her by the hair, hauling her face up to meet his cold, impassive gaze. Valentina’s left eye was already swelling shut, purple and angry.

"You think you’re negotiating?" he asked, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "You think your ’sacrifice’ matters to me?"

"You think I want a martyr?"

"I... I’ll do anything..." she gasped through a mouthful of blood.

"I know you will." Without warning, his hand glowed with a soft, sickly violet light.

He pressed it against her shattered jaw. Valentina screamed a raw, guttural sound of pure agony as she felt her bones knitting back together, her flesh sealing with an unnatural heat.

The pain was worse than the breaking; it was the sensation of being forcibly reconstructed, of being denied the mercy of death.

Within seconds, her face was flawless again. Her jaw was straight, her skin unblemished, her breathing steady.

He had healed her simply so he could break her again.

"There," Rex said, releasing her. "Now you’re ready."

His boot came down hard on her shoulder, pinning her to the floor. "Now, Valentina... Bow."

"I want to see the great headmaster of Aethelgard reduced to something proper."

"Please."

"BOW!" he roared, his voice echoing like thunder in the confined space.

Trembling, her spirit utterly broken by the cruelty of his ’mercy,’ Valentina lowered herself. She pressed her forehead against the cold marble, her body shaking with humiliating sobs.

She was no longer a queen, no longer a teacher; she was a worm beneath his boot.

Thud.

Rex brought his boot down directly onto the back of her skull. He didn’t crush it; he wasn’t finished with her yet, but he applied enough pressure to force her face flush against the floor.

"Look at you," Rex mocked, his voice dripping with venomous contempt. "The legendary Valentina."

"The paragon of virtue... the protector of Aethelgard."

"Here you are, groveling on the floor like the common bitch you’ve always been underneath that pretty facade."

Thud.

Another strike, this one aimed at the base of her skull. Valentina whimpered, the sound muffled by the floor.

"Do you feel it, Valentina? That hollow feeling in your chest?" Rex continued, each word punctuated by the cruel pressure of his boot. "That’s not grief..."

"That’s the realization that you never mattered."

"Your principles, your teachings, your precious little students—they were all delusions... In the face of true power, you’re nothing but meat... A tool... A toy."

He shifted his weight, grinding his heel into her temple. "You wanted to sacrifice yourself for them? How noble and how utterly worthless."

"Your sacrifice changes nothing... It only proves how weak you are."

"You’re not saving them; you’re just proving to them that their hero is a coward who can be broken with a few well placed blows."

Valentina’s inner monologue was a screaming void. ’Make it stop. Please, make it stop.’

’I’m sorry, Helena. I’m sorry, Lily. I’m so sorry, everyone...’ The humiliation was more painful than any physical wound.

To be mocked while in a position of such absolute degradation was stripping away the last vestiges of her identity.

She could feel her mind fracturing, the walls of her self-worth crumbling under the relentless assault of his words and his boot.

"You’re not a person anymore, Valentina," Rex whispered, leaning down so she could hear him clearly through the floor. "You’re just an object... my object."

"And tomorrow, when I take you to the bedchamber, you’ll remember this moment."

"You’ll remember that every scream you make, every whimper of pleasure or pain, is because I allow it."

The silence that followed Rex’s humiliation was not peaceful; it was the heavy, suffocating silence of a tomb. Valentina remained pressed against the marble, her breath coming in ragged, wet gasps.

Her mind was a battlefield of trauma, trying to process the impossible that her granddaughters hadn’t just been corrupted; they had been claimed.

Rex stepped away from her head, the click of his boots sounding like gunshots in the quiet room. He paced around her prone form like a predator circling wounded prey, his shadow stretching long and distorted across her shaking shoulders.

"You know," Rex started, his voice conversational, almost casual, which made the words feel like poisoned needles. "Those girls... Lily and Diana... they have such remarkable capacity for pleasure."

"They were so eager to please... I fucked them both until they couldn’t remember their own names."

"They cried out for me with more honesty than you ever showed in your entire career as headmaster."

Valentina flinched as if he had struck her again.

"You... you monster..." she whispered, the words barely audible through her sobbing.

"I’m not done, Valentina." Rex stopped directly beside her ear. "I haven’t even touched on your oldest daughter Helena... but then... there was Elizabeth."

The name hit Valentina like a physical blow. Her heart stuttered.

"Elizabeth? What... what did you do to her?!"

"Leave her out of this! She has nothing to do with—"

"Oh, she has everything to do with this," Rex interrupted, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial purr. "She’s carrying something special, Valentina... A gift from me."

Valentina froze. A cold, paralyzing dread washed over her.

"What are you... talking about?"

"She’s pregnant," Rex said, savoring the words as they landed. "My seed is growing inside her."

"And the best part? Her precious fiancé... that noble little boy who thinks he’s her protector... he has no fucking idea that was my child."

"He kisses her cheek; he promises to marry her, all while he’s unknowingly sharing his bed with a woman who carries the child of her conqueror."

The world didn’t just tilt for Valentina; it shattered. The air left her lungs as if she had been punched in the solar plexus.

’No. No, no, no.’ Her mind screamed.

She pictured Elizabeth’s face, her smile, and her innocence—all of it tainted, all of it stolen by this devil. The image of her daughter carrying his child while believing she was loved by another man was a psychological torture more exquisite than any blade.

"NOOOOOO!" Valentina’s scream tore from her throat, a raw, primal sound of pure agony.

She tried to lunge at him, driven by a suicidal rage, her fingers clawing at the air. "I’ll kill you! I’ll tear your throat out with my bare hands!"

CRACK.

Rex’s boot met her midsection before she could even rise. The force sent her skidding across the floor, her ribs screaming in protest as they bruised and cracked again.

’Urrgh, huck.’ She retched, bile and blood spattering the marble.

"Still trying to fight?" Rex asked, walking toward her with slow, deliberate steps. "Still clinging to that pathetic illusion of agency?"

He reached down and grabbed her by the collar of her expensive silk blouse. With one violent jerk, he ripped the fabric down the center.

RIIIIP.

The sound of tearing cloth echoed through the chamber. He didn’t stop there.

His hands became instruments of desecration. He grabbed the fabric of her skirt and tore it away with inhuman strength, each rip sending fresh waves of humiliation through her.

"This body," Rex said, his voice growing darker, more possessive as he systematically stripped her bare, "this beautiful, dignified vessel of authority... it’s nothing but meat now."

"Nothing but a canvas for my whims."

Valentina lay there, exposed and shivering, her skin pale against the dark marble. She felt smaller than she ever had in her life.

The cold air hit her bare flesh like a thousand tiny knives, but it was nothing compared to the coldness in Rex’s eyes. She was naked, not just physically, but spiritually.

Her secrets, her family, and her entire identity had been flayed open before him.

Rex stood directly in front of her, towering over her naked form like a dark monument. The moonlight through the high windows cast his shadow over her entire body, swallowing her in darkness.
