The Lust Grimoire: I Steal Magic By Fulfilling Her Desires
Chapter 88: Thawing the Ice
The tracking beasts found them at dusk.
Arthur heard the low, vibrating growls first—three distinct throats, heavy and wet, echoing off the canyon walls.
He grabbed Seraphina’s wrist without asking and yanked her sideways into a narrow fissure she had been too proud to notice.
The space opened into a shallow cave barely large enough for two people to stand without touching.
He shoved her in, spun, and slammed a thick wall of frost across the entrance in one motion. The ice sealed with a sharp crack, cutting off the outside light and the sound of claws scraping stone.
Darkness swallowed them.
For three heartbeats the only noise was their breathing.
Then Seraphina ripped her arm free.
"Do not manhandle me," she hissed. "I am not some common—"
"Quiet."
Arthur’s voice was low and sharp. He pressed two fingers to the ice wall, feeling for vibrations.
The beasts paced outside, confused by the sudden drop in temperature and the loss of scent.
One slammed a shoulder against the frost barrier. The ice held, but fine cracks spider-webbed outward.
Seraphina’s golden eyes glowed faintly in the dark, illuminating the hard set of her jaw.
"You trapped us in a hole," she whispered furiously. "A Saintess does not cower in the dirt while mongrels sniff at the door."
Arthur turned on her. The cave was so narrow their chests nearly touched. Heat rolled off her skin in waves, clashing with the cold still clinging to his clothes.
"Those mongrels will rip your throat out and deliver your core to Equinox on a plate," he said. "Keep your voice down or I will freeze your mouth shut."
Her eyes flared brighter. "You would not dare."
"Try me."
The air between them went tight. Days of forced travel, constant arguing, and mutual contempt had compressed into something volatile. Seraphina’s pride had been scraped raw by every practical order he gave.
Arthur’s patience had been worn thin by every haughty correction and wasted healing spell. The cave left no room for either of them to step back.
Another heavy impact shook the ice wall. Dust sifted from the ceiling.
Seraphina’s gaze flicked past him toward the barrier, then snapped back. "When we leave this place I will—"
"You will what?" Arthur stepped closer, forcing her back against the rough stone. "Lecture me? Call down holy fire and announce our position to every tracker in the range? You have been a liability since the moment I opened that cage."
Her hand came up as if to slap him. He caught her wrist easily. The contact sent a jolt through both of them.
Her pulse hammered against his fingers. Up close she smelled like incense and clean sweat and the faint ozone burn of light mana.
Her silver hair had come partly undone, strands sticking to her neck.
"Let go," she ordered, but the command lacked its usual steel.
Arthur did not let go.
Something ugly and heated moved behind her golden eyes—anger, humiliation, and a sharper, reluctant awareness of how little space remained between their bodies.
The same awareness hit him a second later. Adrenaline from the chase still burned in his blood. Days of friction had left every nerve close to the surface.
"You are insufferable," she whispered.
"And you are still alive because of it."
She surged forward and kissed him.
It was not gentle. It was teeth and frustration and the last of her restraint snapping.
Arthur met it with equal force, slamming her back against the cave wall hard enough to drive the air from her lungs.
Seraphina made a broken sound into his mouth and fisted both hands in his cloak, dragging him closer instead of pushing him away.
The ice barrier groaned under another impact from outside. Neither of them cared.
Arthur’s hands found the fastenings of her ruined white robes and tore them open. Silk ripped.
Seraphina gasped but did not stop kissing him. She bit his lower lip hard enough to draw blood.
He growled and shoved the fabric off her shoulders, baring pale skin that almost glowed in the dim light of her eyes.
Her breasts were full and high, nipples tight from cold and arousal. He closed a hand over one and squeezed.
She arched into the touch with a sharp, unwilling moan.
"This changes nothing," she panted against his mouth.
"Shut up."
He kissed her again to enforce it, rougher this time, while his other hand dragged her skirts up.
She wore almost nothing underneath—thin ceremonial undergarments that tore easily when he hooked his fingers and pulled.
Seraphina’s thighs trembled when the cool cave air hit bare skin. Arthur cupped her between the legs and found her already slick.
The discovery pulled a dark, satisfied sound from his throat.
"Proud Saintess," he muttered, stroking through her wetness. "Soaked for the man you keep calling a rogue."
"I hate you," she breathed, but her hips pushed forward into his hand.
"Liar."
He pushed two fingers into her. Seraphina’s head fell back against the stone with a choked cry. She was tight, hot, and shaking.
Arthur worked her open with short, ruthless strokes while his thumb circled her clit. Her golden eyes had gone hazy.
The glowing light in them flickered with every thrust of his fingers.
Outside, the beasts snarled and threw themselves at the ice. Inside, the only sounds were wet fingers and Seraphina’s broken breathing.
Arthur pulled his hand free, ignored her protesting whimper, and shoved his own clothes down just far enough. He gripped her thigh, hooked it over his hip, and drove into her in one hard thrust.
Seraphina’s scream was muffled against his shoulder.
She was tighter than expected. The sudden stretch made her nails dig into his back hard enough to draw blood.
Arthur gave her two seconds to adjust, then started fucking her with deep, punishing strokes. The cave was too small for finesse.
Every thrust pinned her harder against the stone. Her breasts bounced with the force. Silver hair stuck to her damp cheeks.
"Look at me," he ordered.
She did. Hatred and heat and reluctant need warred in her glowing eyes. He kissed her again, swallowing the soft, helpless sounds she tried to hold back.
One of her legs wrapped around his waist of its own accord. The angle let him go deeper. Seraphina’s composure shattered completely.
She clung to him and met his thrusts with short, desperate rolls of her hips.
"Harder," she demanded, voice wrecked. "If you are going to ruin me, do it properly."
Arthur gave her what she asked for.
He fucked her like the argument was still happening—rough, relentless, all the accumulated friction poured into the snap of his hips.
The wet sound of their joining filled the narrow cave. Seraphina’s moans grew louder, less controlled. Her inner walls clenched around him in fluttering waves.
When she came it was with a sharp, startled cry, body locking tight, golden light flaring hard enough to push back the shadows for a second.
Arthur did not stop.
He chased his own release with short, brutal strokes, face buried against her neck, breathing in the scent of her sweat and residual holy mana.
Seraphina whimpered through the oversensitivity and still held on, legs tight around him, as if letting go would mean losing whatever fragile ground they had just burned down.
He came with a low, guttural sound, buried to the hilt, spilling deep inside her while the ice barrier shuddered under another heavy impact from outside.
For a long moment neither of them moved.
Their breathing filled the small space. Seraphina’s forehead rested against his. Her eyes were closed.
The arrogant set of her mouth had softened into something dazed and uncertain. Arthur’s hands were still gripping her thighs hard enough to leave bruises.
Slowly, reality seeped back in.
The tracking beasts still paced beyond the frost wall. The cave was cold. Their clothes were ruined.
And the woman who had spent days calling him a shadow-stained rogue was still impaled on his cock, trembling, with his seed beginning to trickle down her thigh.
Seraphina opened her eyes.
The golden light in them was quieter now, stripped of its usual divine superiority. What remained was raw and complicated.
"This," she whispered, voice hoarse, "changes nothing."
Arthur pulled out of her slowly, watching the way her body shivered at the loss. He fixed his clothes with steady hands and looked at the fine cracks spreading further across the ice barrier.
"Keep telling yourself that, Your Holiness."
Outside, one of the beasts slammed into the wall again. A larger chunk of frost broke free and shattered on the stone floor.
