Chapter 2067: Merely for a Balance

This is what Little Taotie wants to clear up.

If, when the War God went to the Lion Tribe to pick a mount, he already knew that Little Beast Bai Bai was his, then everything would have a reason.

Otherwise, the War God’s affection came too inexplicably, perhaps he really just treated it as a stunt double to love it.

If he treats her as a stunt double to love her, she won’t go back with him! The Demon God Hua Zhan’s sincerity is better!

"I knew it was you from the beginning." The War God sighed: "Otherwise, why would I take you away?"

Little Taotie’s body was shrinking, finally reverting to the original small form of Little Beast Bai Bai.

The War God reached out to hold it, and Little Taotie did not resist.

The War God laughed softly: "You care a lot?"

Little Taotie snorted.

"Alright then, I’ll go back and explain to you."

The War God put away the war sword mid-air, when the long sword returned to the sheath, it represented the withdrawal of troops.

Upon retreating to the camp, the War God took Little Taotie to the castle.

Little Taotie turned into a fierce-looking little girl, glaring with her big round eyes, her little white and tender face flushed, as if she was quite angry.

"Speak! Did you know I was in the Lion Tribe early on, so you specifically went to the Lion Tribe to choose a mount?"

Little Taotie couldn’t understand at first; among so many Divine Beast descendants, why choose her, a fierce beast that’s not a fierce beast, a Divine Beast that’s not a Divine Beast, still a young beast to be a mount? Now it was all clear. From the beginning, he went to the Lion Tribe to find the reincarnation of "Little Useless."

"Yes, I knew you were in the Lion Tribe, that’s why I went to the Lion Tribe."

"Why didn’t you tell me?"

"Tell you what? Tell you that you were the little cat I raised when I was undergoing tribulations in the Lower Realm? Or perhaps tell you about my past... how unbearable it was?"

Little Taotie choked.

Indeed, now all this doesn’t matter, the most important thing is to figure out the relationship between the War God and the Demon God.

"You’re Hua Zhan?"

The War God nodded slightly: "Sort of."

Little Taotie took a deep breath: "The Demon God... is also Hua Zhan?"

The War God’s gaze deepened by a few degrees, under Little Taotie’s stare, he slowly nodded.

A bolt from the blue!

Even though she knew the answer from the start, seeing the War God personally admit it, Little Taotie still couldn’t quite bear it.

Little Taotie felt her breath becoming a bit unstable, caught her breath, and asked again: "Clearly the same person, why have you become like this now?"

"Balance."

"Balance?"

"All things in heaven and earth have balance."

"Isn’t this crazy, fighting yourself for tens of thousands of years!" Little Taotie couldn’t help but retort.

The War God shook his head, slowly cutting off his helmet.

"This time, no mask?" Little Taotie’s voice contained a bit of irritation.

It seems that previously the mask didn’t appear automatically, the War God just didn’t want her to see his true face.

"There’s no need for any more concealment."

"Are you afraid I might remember something because of your face?"

"Mm."

"Ha, now you’re being straightforward."

Little Taotie sat heavily on the wooden bench, but due to too much force, the bench collapsed, she ended up sitting on the ground.

She forcefully threw pieces of wood at the War God, angrily: "You treat me like a fool and deceive me! You deceive all the people in the world!"

Little Taotie dared not imagine, one day, when the news that the War God is the Demon God, fighting himself for tens of thousands of years got out, how he would be cursed by people all over the world.

"War must exist, casualties must exist, this is the rule of the cycle of heaven and earth. If I do not exist, war will not disappear. Our existence as War God and Demon God is only for balance. If we do not exist, new Demon Gods and War Gods will appear."
