The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast
Chapter 1976: Two Sister Mengs
"Don’t worry about them." Hua Jinyan held Little Taotie’s body, his gaze resting on Little Taotie’s Ghost not far away: "Go early and come back early, you can’t leave the flesh body for too long."
Little Taotie obediently nodded and blinked: "I’ll be back soon."
"Why are you holding her? Give her to us, we’ll take her to the hospital!"
"Yes, she needs to go to the hospital quickly!"
"She’s fine." Hua Jinyan dodged the mercenary’s outstretched hand, his gaze indifferent: "You guys deal with that guy first."
Just as the mercenaries were about to kill the man in the wheelchair, the wheelchair man unfastened his buttons, revealing a west full of mini-bombs.
"Don’t anger me. When I go crazy, I’ll blow myself up."
"Boss, you’re insane, don’t press it, don’t get excited!"
The secretary shouted loudly, his body trembling, stepping back.
"Don’t move!" The wheelchair man glared at him, his eyes fierce.
"Boss, I..." The secretary stiffened, unable to step back.
"If I die, you must be buried with me. If you dare to step back again, I’ll immediately press the button."
"Boss! Calm down, I won’t run!"
The mercenaries gradually approached each other, back to back, discussing strategies in lowered voices.
No one was paying attention to why Little Taotie was "unconscious," nor did anyone notice Hua Jinyan, who quietly withdrew holding Little Taotie’s body.
In the Grand Palace, red and gold intertwined to create a magnificent nobility, the mist was hazy like a fairyland in the mortal world, but upon a closer look, the mist looked more like moisture, rising steam from the boiling Lethe River.
Little Taotie and a young man in a white coat appeared among the queue, ghosts floating in front and behind them. These ghosts were initially surprised, but quickly reverted to numb expressions, quietly queuing without daring to voice complaints about someone jumping the line.
Little Taotie dumb and adorable: "Are we in line to receive soup?"
The young man in the white coat nodded: "I died, so I was sent here to queue. But you don’t seem to be dead, why were you sent here... I’m unsure, when we get to the front, we’ll see Meng Po, maybe she’ll give us the answers."
"Don’t call her that, call her Sister. Or else, Sister will get upset. She’s young and beautiful, not a granny."
The young man in the white coat was momentarily dazed, then suddenly enlightened: "No wonder every time I respectfully call her Meng Po, she never even looks at me. Originally, the soup was tasteless, but when it reached me, it turned bitter and astringent. So... the problem lies here."
"Just realizing? It’s too late."
A teasing voice arose.
Little Taotie turned her head, looked over because of the voice, her little mouth slightly opened, her big eyes full of shock: "Sister, how did you become a man?"
"Tsk, I’m prettier than her by far! Ah— you’re attacking again..."
The beauty dressed in a flowing water-blue ancient costume, hair like ink draped down, indistinguishable between male and female, cowardly looked back, his tone full of accusation, but eyes didn’t dare glare back, brows lowered.
Standing behind him, the woman wore a neat modern outfit with the taste of a white-collar elite office uniform.
Her face and the ancient-costumed beauty’s were identical, the only difference the ancient-costumed beauty had a tear mole at the corner of his eye, while the modern beauty’s face was clean, skin smooth without a freckle.
Little Taotie stood between the two.
The little one raised her head high to look at them, her small head swaying like a rattle-drum, glancing at the left, the ancient-costumed beauty, then to the right, the modern beauty, finally locking onto the modern beauty’s face.
She blinked, her eyes somewhat indecisive, testing in a childish voice: "Sister Meng?"
The modern beauty smiled broadly, squatted down and hugged Little Taotie, rubbing her nose against Little Taotie’s small nose.
"You’re clever. If you guessed wrong, I would’ve punished you."
