The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!
Chapter 1959 - 533: The Demon King Places a Bloodsucking Sword in the Hero's Brother's Hand
The sunny days always vanish in the blink of an eye. With the arrival of June, the northeast coast of the Vortex Sea finally entered summer.
On the Beixi Valley Plain, the burning sun was like a harsh overseer, equitably whipping every shoulder with its scorching lash.
The boiling heatwaves twisted in the air, blurring the distant horizon into a shimmering mirage.
However, more fervent than the blurred horizon was the clamor spreading across this vast land—
"Keep it up, brothers!"
"For tonight's barbecue and beer!"
"Awooo!"
Thousands of strong Lizardmen, bare-chested, their emerald green scales glistening like metal in the sunlight.
They formed an endless line, like a precise machine composed of flesh and blood, operating vigorously on this Wilderness.
This was the railway construction site connecting Thunder City and the capital of North Stream Valley, Glanston Castle.
It was also the final "battlefield" decided by the Cemetery Railway Group to achieve the "S-Class Task" rating!
To break the single-day railway extension record, the players deliberately left this flattest and hardest soil section as the "showpiece project" for Cemetery Railway Group's record demonstration.
Not only that, during this period they secretly used the Shadow Soldiers of the Great Graveyard to transport sleepers, steel rails, and nails along the construction line at night.
Previously, these materials were transported by train itself and carts, and it was difficult to get them far from the construction site.
Honestly, "Catastrophe OL" has been played by these players into "Railway Tycoon OL," going to any lengths for the record!
If it weren't for the Royal Railway Company staff checking their progress daily, and with the Demon King's people watching over them, they might have done even more outlandish things.
The player, "I Am the Head," stood atop a high mound, holding a primitive loudspeaker, shouting at the top of his lungs.
Under his skilled command, this mixed Lizardman army displayed a collaboration efficiency that left spectators speechless.
The first echelon of Lizardmen was composed of members from the Stone Lizard Clan.
Carrying heavy sleepers, they swiftly traversed the fervent construction site, each step raising clouds of dust.
For them, wood that required two humans to lift was merely as light as a toothpick.
Following them was the rail-laying team, where four-legged Lizardmen dragged carts weighing hundreds of pounds forward.
The long-tailed Lizardman deftly operated the crane and hooks, hooking the rails from the moving carts, using inertia to let them fall onto the sleepers.
With the Lizardmen using both hands and feet, two parallel steel lines rapidly extended forward on the ground, like a continuously lengthening iron dragon.
Finally, there was the nailing team.
No advanced steam-powered equipment was needed; the heavy iron hammer in their hands was the best tool!
The continuous "clang-clang-clang" of hammering sounded like a grand and wild symphony.
Each crisp sound marked a spike being hammered deep into the sleeper, securing the steel firmly to the earth.
Sweat rolled down the sturdy necks of the Lizardmen, dripping onto the scorching rails with a "sizzle," instantly evaporating into a wisp of white smoke.
A newcomer to the civil engineering site wiped the dust from his face, staring in amazement at the rails growing discernibly faster.
"Wow! This isn't scientific!"
"But it's magical, isn't it?" "Fear of Ghosts Once Dead" grinned at him, baring the teeth beneath his scales.
To blend in with these Lizardmen, he specifically spent Contribution Points to redeem a branch tribe of Lizardmen from the Southwest Swamp.
Now, he looked greener than ever.
"I Am the Head" proudly put his hands on his hips, looking at the spectacular scene, wiping the sweat off his sun-drenched forehead.
"I bet no one can break this record for a while!"
After all, the previous record was also created by them.
The sun gradually set, staining the sky blood red.
As the last ray of sunset was about to disappear on the horizon, the Duchy officer responsible for acceptance wheeled the measuring wheel over the final stretch.
Looking at the incredible number on the dashboard, his eyes almost popped out.
"By Saint Sis, ten... fifteen kilometers!"
Having followed the railway project throughout, observing these Lizardmen at work, he could hardly believe his measurement results.
After all, under normal circumstances, laying two kilometers a day was already fast for these Lizardmen, and now the figure had skyrocketed fivefold!
At the same time he filled in the number, the player who hammered the last spike for the entire railway line let out a deafening cheer.
Fifteen kilometers laid in one day!
In an era without large machinery, this speed was simply miraculous!
"Amazing!!!"
The players excitedly embraced each other, celebrating not only the impending S-Class rating but also this historic moment worthy of entry into gaming history.
After more than four months of construction, the 200-kilometer railway was declared complete, marking a monumental achievement in the infrastructure history of Aus Continent!
It would connect the north and south of the Duchy, completely transforming the Duchy's logistics system and ending its dependence on the Rushing River, castles, and village networks!
