The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 1915 - 525: Roland City Piled High with Gunpowder

  • Next Chapter

As the hands of the Campbell people and the Ryan people clasped tightly together, the ancient Land of Knights ignited the flame of the republic.

Meanwhile, the greedy Theoden and his nobles were discussing the Ryan people's twenty "culinary" techniques at the Third Level Conference.

The citizen councilors, who only occupied 3% of the seats, were pondering how to plate the sliced squab and which side dishes could adorn the plate as decorations.

However, at this very moment, neither Theoden nor the nobles of Roland City, nor the chairmen of the Stone Masonry Guild, knew that the ever-vindictive Edward had quietly placed dynamite beneath their chairs.

The blood of the Campbell people cannot be shed in vain!

Actually, whether Edward was there or not was no longer important.

The entire Roland City was like a massive powder keg, locked by a chain already burned red by the flames.

Outside Roland City, a fierce dispute erupted before a marketplace stall.

The olive oil vendor angrily threw the rusty copper coin in his hand to the ground and cursed at the noble servant standing high before him.

"Saint Sis above, what kind of crap have you given me!"

If someone had come to him with a rusty copper coin in the past, he would endure it for the sake of good business.

But this person was being too much, bullying him for not distinguishing iron rust from copper rust!

Does he look like a peasant from the manor?

It's worth mentioning that the barons of the kingdom were not as principled as the earls, and had long used iron coins to deceive the peasants in the manor.

Generally, they had a sense of propriety, only fooling their own people, and wouldn't let these inferior copper coins circulate in the king's cities.

After all, the citizens were the king's property, and without the king's approval and the support of the sword, ordinary citizens wouldn't accept their deals.

But now it's different.

The king and the nobles joined forces.

Once the local barons began to find their own way, helping the king solve financial issues, they would almost certainly pounce on the sheep in the pen like hungry wolves.

No matter which tool they use.

With the king's approval, the inferior currency restricted to the manors immediately flooded the market of the Ryan Kingdom like a deluge, plundering the hardworking citizens of the Ryan Kingdom.

In fairness, the "Laine Iron Coins" weren't the most shameless.

Those clay fragments that crumbled into pieces upon a touch and the wooden planks that could float on the Eternal River were truly blatant robberies.

The vendor just hadn't seen them due to his limited experiences, and hadn't been exposed to the means of the nobles.

Watching the angry vendor, the noble servant, dressed in a stiff suit, had a twitching corner of his mouth.

Especially as the crowd around him grew larger, his attempts at maintaining arrogant composure were wearing thin.

He didn't represent himself, but Baron Imabella. If the steward found out he had tarnished the baron's reputation, his family would suffer.

"This is Baron Imabella's insignia, you are challenging the dignity of the nobility, commoner!"

The servant's tone grew stern, his face showing a fierce glare, trying to coerce the petite man into submission.

"You have ten seconds to pick it up, and I'll pretend I didn't see it and spare your miserable life! Otherwise, even Saint Sis can't save you!"

If it were before, the bystanders might have already stepped in to mediate the dispute, as everyone had to do business.

However, it was unfortunate that the marketplace was sparsely populated now, leaving them unoccupied.

The oil vendor was particularly unoccupied.

He originally did business with both the citizens and the nobles, usually enduring the oppression from noble servants.

But recent days had become increasingly difficult, with fewer guests, and the remaining ones humiliated him with dark iron coins.

He couldn't stand it anymore!

"Then let's meet Saint Sis together! Let Him judge fairness!"

Suppressive anger suddenly erupted, surprising everyone, including the noble servant.

He saw the petite man pull a knife from beneath the table and rush into his arms before he could react.

"You, what are you doing—!"

The marketplace stall echoed with a pig-squealing scream, and the blood spurting into the sky shocked those attempting to mediate the fight, while the observing merchants fled.

The man standing in the pool of blood did not run.

He calmly wiped the blood from his knife and rested it on his own neck.

He was going to meet Saint Sis.

The commotion brought the guards, who had been patrolling intensively recently, timely arrived.

However, when the kingdom's guards arrived, they found two bodies amidst the sewage-covered stall.

The perpetrator was already dead.

Looking at the horrific scene, the patrol captain swallowed nervously and made a cross on his chest.

"Saint Sis above..."

The oil vendor stabbed the noble servant's heart with one thrust and then slashed his own neck in another.

His knife skills were evidently not quick, leaving half his neck dangling on his shoulder, blood filling his airway, and his bulging eyes on the verge of bursting, suffering greatly before dying.

The patrol captain glanced at the deputy officer beside him and whispered.

"Call the nearby Priest here, quickly."

Those who leave filled with resentment become the Undead.

Though handling an Undead without awakened Extraordinary Power shouldn't be too difficult, it's nonetheless a hassle.

With the guards surrounding him, the Priest quickly arrived at the scene, whispering prayers to summon the Holy Light to soothe the hate.

The crowd gathered around the bloodstained stall again, whispering about what had just happened, feeling sorry for the two unfortunate souls.
