The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!
Chapter 1888 - 519: Forgotten at the Start, Forgotten in the Middle, Forgotten at the End
Demon City, Military Minister's office.
The Demon Flame lamps illuminated the obsidian desk, casting a long shadow of Prince Caesar's authoritative face on the wall.
He was holding a letter in his hand.
It was sent by his dear granddaughter.
[Grandpa! The bad guys from the Padric family bullied me! TvT]
Prince Caesar Colin usually behaves quite normally, or else he wouldn't have earned the reputation of "Iron-blooded Prince," and the goblins of Demon City wouldn't live so peacefully.
However, this was evidently not a usual situation.
After reading the letter, Caesar flew into a rage, slamming his hand on the obsidian desk with such force that he almost shattered the office.
"What audacity! To bully the Colin family! Get Padric to my office immediately!"
He actually had a good relationship with Feistin; the Shadow Demon councilor was smooth in handling things and could manage the Meilusi Family that Caesar found most challenging.
But what happened to bullying his precious granddaughter?
The whole demon city knew Caesar didn't particularly like his meek and inept son, but his granddaughter Vivian was his favorite.
Not only did she push herself, breaking through to Platinum level at a young age, but her personality was just perfect for him!
She reminded him a lot of his younger self!
Hearing Caesar call out "Padric" instead of "Feistin," the secretary on duty didn't dare intervene and quickly ran to the communication stone, frantically activating the communication magic array.
The secretaries who worked in the Prince's office were not ordinary; they were elites among the elite from Hell.
The respected Prince was currently furious, and if he wasn't appeased, ten thousand troops might march to the Parliament Building tomorrow.
The fire had to be contained immediately!
To ensure the safety of Demon City, the secretary called Feistin's home instead of his office.
As expected, Lady Serena answered the call.
The demon secretary succinctly explained the situation and then quickly ended the communication before moving swiftly to contact Feistin's office.
The Padric Family always had ways.
For instance, they could find Caesar Colin's enchanting demon lover from his youth to speak on their behalf or come up with similar strategies to placate the Blood Prince.
The nobles within the Demon Wall always handled matters with such skill and simplicity.
The demon secretary sighed in relief internally after hanging up and silently prayed for peace in Hell.
Bai Ye above...
A mere secretary, working his heart out for Hell's future.
Meanwhile, at the Parliament Building.
Listening to the hurried footsteps outside his office, Feistin sighed, intertwining his fingers as he stared at the patterns on the ceiling.
"What was bound to come has come."
No matter.
It's not the first time anyway.
...
The goblins of Demon City would never know that the recent turbulent days there were triggered simply by two family letters sent back to the city.
The truth was unexpectedly cruel.
Blow away the foam in the teacup, the storms outside the Demon God Temple were, from start to finish, all about the family affairs of the Padric and Colin families.
It was utterly unrelated to humans or Hell.
The goblins in the tavern at the Lower City District would immerse themselves too intensely, much like the old farmer from the Aus Empire, anticipating Marshal Aber leading troops into Hell.
Vivian wore a mischievous smile of success as she managed to stay low-key for an entire evening, much to the relief of the night-shift maids at Colin Manor.
Bai Ye above, even the Little Overlord of Colin's actually settled down.
Not really.
Vivian wasn't settled at all.
She silently made up her mind to tolerate that fox spirit for two more days!
Once Mr. Feistin brought the Minotaur blood to her grandpa's office, Lady Vivian would be able to demand tribute atop the Demon King's head!
Kukuku!
The mere thought sent excited shivers down her little fangs!!
However, Vivian, who hadn't received higher cultivation at the Demon King Academy, ended up suffering due to a lack of skills.
The Demon King Management Department and the Demon King were like two ends of a scale; as one got heavier, the other got lighter. And the most crucial aspect was that the two ends could never meet.
And the difficult part was not just the separation; advancement was also extremely challenging.
Miss Padric had already left with the achievements of "restoring tribute" and "increasing the number of Demon City cadres," squeezing every bit of value from her position... even if Miss Padric hadn't realized it herself.
Vivian also had no idea.
If she didn't have a tactful and strategic grandpa, the Colin family's vampires would truly end up picking the leftover fish bones from the "miscellaneous enchanting demons," gnawing at them like "miscellaneous vampires."
At most, she'd spend a year on the cold bench, watching the battle reports sent to the rear, and she'd find no humor in them anymore.
Even a breakdown might occur...
The rivalry between the Colin and Padric families was ongoing, with the Demon King Management Department unexpectedly becoming the focal point of the two families' strategic maneuvering.
This made the department head, whom no one dared to offend, extremely unhappy, even reminiscing when a certain little ancestor was still around.
Everything happened just as Mr. Karamos had planned, with the weakened position of Mr. Feistin from the Colin family turning to him for help.
The only action not foreseen by Mr. Karamos was from the Campbell family's involvement.
