The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!
Chapter 1873 - 515: Not Just Vampires—Enchanting Demons Have Arrived Too
"Ku ku—hahaha!"
Vivian couldn't hold back and burst into laughter, forgetting all about elegance this time, nearly laughing herself under the table.
Mia, who had calmed down a bit, was irked once more by that boisterous laughter.
She tore off the tattered hem of her skirt, flipping up from the ground.
Miss Padric decided not to hide her strength anymore, even revealing her heart-shaped tail tip, swishing beneath her lifted skirt.
Vivian, who was laughing uproariously a second ago, suddenly found herself unable to laugh anymore at the sight of those white legs and enticing fullness.
Her face was tense, eyes more serious than ever, even causing her long-socked calves to twist nervously together.
Who would have thought this Enchanting Demon could be so cunning!
She'd fallen for it!
Luckily, the demons of the Padric Family could never figure out what went on in the minds of the Colin Family demons, or else Mia's anger meter would've risen even higher.
Unable to handle the unease brought by Luo Yan's gaze, Mia had no choice but to vent that misplaced "wrath" onto a certain gloating little devil.
"Colin!!"
Her voice raised by a full eight pitches, glaring at Vivian as if she wanted to pin her to a cross with her stare.
"Tsk, I'm not running, so why yell so loudly?"
Vivian nonchalantly tossed a cookie into her mouth, but her eyes were darting around, pondering where she might also be rescued by her brother.
Unfortunately, Colin Manor had no such traps; her brother wasn't nearly concerned enough about her safety.
Seeing that Vivian showed no signs of reflection, and her eyes still wandering, Mia was nearly grinding her teeth to dust, speaking word by word.
"I remember when you received permission to use the Teleportation Array from the Demon King Management Department, you said you only wanted a far-off glimpse of your brother's territory, didn't want to go directly over, to avoid worrying him, so you didn't use the Demon King Territory's Teleportation Array... but what does skipping school mean? I never heard about you staying here. I can't believe my kindness was wasted; I actually pitied you for a moment!"
Vivian, who was eating a cookie, froze.
Her glance wavered, still holding half a cookie in her mouth, turning her head away guiltily, blowing a clumsy whistle, covering the lawn with cookie crumbs.
This matter really was her fault.
No matter how thick-skinned she was, facing such an accusation of her lies being exposed on the spot, Vivian found it hard to maintain her composure.
Until that word drilled into her ears.
Skipping school?
Ridiculous!
As if grabbing a lifeline, Vivian jumped up like a cat stepping on its tail, applying the strategy "concentrate advantageous forces to attack weak spots" taught to her by the Demon King practically.
"Skipping school? Mind your choice of words, Miss Padric, not going without permission is skipping school! I took a leave!"
She put her hands on her hips, as if it were Nanfu begging on his knees days earlier.
Mia was stunned by her twisted reasoning, her mouth agape.
"Does your father... no, does your grandfather know you're like this?"
Upon hearing this, Vivian became even more full of herself, standing with hands on hips confidently.
"He said I did well, didn't disgrace us!"
Mia: "???"
Luo Yan: "..."
Unbelievable.
This is incredibly unbelievable!
Legislator Luo Yan silently took a sip of tea, watching the floating tea leaves in his cup, worrying about Hell's future.
It seems the demons of the Demon City are truly hopeless.
Besides finding excuses for their downfall, what other legitimate tasks do these demons have?
Even the credit system and holiday assignments probably can't save them; only a complete transformation can revive Demon Second Generations.
But as he thought this, Luo Yan suddenly reconsidered, considering himself as someone who cared naught about the goblins of Demon City, spending his days in the Human World, perhaps he was in no position to comment on his countrymen far away in Demon City?
At least they haven't gone to the Holy City to buy properties.
Emmm...
Alright.
Since it's himself who's the most debauched, it's not a big deal.
Thanks to Luo Yan's deep reflection on his own issues, the Demon Second Generations of Demon City could finally breathe easily, without having to endure the rain the "Temple Orphans" did.
Seeing that she couldn't out-argue this thick-skinned little devil on the "academic" problem, Mia took a deep breath, deciding to put pressure on her "keeper."
She put on a serious tone, looking towards Luo Yan, who was quietly drinking tea.
"Classmate Luo Yan!"
"I'm here."
Mia was momentarily stunned, not understanding this response, but it didn't interrupt her; she pressed on straight to the point.
"Do you think this is okay?"
Luo Yan subtly shifted his gaze away.
"I... am opposed in principle, I plan to write to Prince Colin about this matter. But you know, I'm just a small councilor, how could I oversee the Military Minister, besides, Vivian's academics belong to the internal affairs of the Colin family."
Legislator Luo Yan's business dealings in Black Wind Castle still depended on Caesar Colin's support, so indeed, he had no reason to expel Vivian.
Besides, expelling her wouldn't help anything.
As everyone knows, blowing up a latrine won't make the dung disappear, it will only cause it to spread everywhere. Luo Yan never engaged in such foolishness; blocking was less effective than redirecting.
Instead of expelling Vivian and having her sneak back, it was better to keep her at this manor, at least under his watchful eye.
This place was no different from the Great Graveyard.
The church that Vivian constantly threatened to blow up had long since been replaced with his own Corpse Ghosts, and those Priests and Nuns had all happily moved to big and beautiful new churches.
As for the nearby vineyard, winery, and similar church properties, they had already been purchased by him in the name of Prince Colin.
As part of the agreement not to drive Vivian away, Vivian also made a gentleman's agreement with him that she would go into hiding with Nanfu when Erin came to visit, avoiding encounters with her "Beloved."
Besides legless Dwarves who could sniff out the scent of the Blood Race, Erin, who had also turned into Blood Race, could much more easily smell it out.
Not to mention, on her own "master."
Looking at the troubled Luo Yan, Mia lowered her head and spoke softly.
"I'm, I'm not talking about Vivian's education, what I mean is, having a human and a vampire live under the same roof, don't you think that's dangerous? You know the Colin family is somewhat insane, in case... she loses control, then what?"
She wasn't an unreasonable woman, and she could understand Luo Yan's difficulties.
As a lonely human being, surviving in a place like Demon City, surrounded by wolves, required skillful balancing among the various powerful factions.
Even so, that sour smell of jealousy wafted from her, nearly escaping beyond the garden.
Looking at the softly murmuring Mia, Luo Yan couldn't help but ponder.
Speaking of the Colin family as crazy in front of their family members, wouldn't that really ignite a dispute between the Padric Family and the Colin Family?
However, though he thought this way, Miss Colin didn't feel offended, only seemed to have heard a very funny joke.
Vivian puffed up her chest, displaying that missing-link pride on her face, announcing triumphantly.
"Kukuku... you don't need to worry at all! My brother is very strong; I've yet to have a bite until today!"
The air in the garden froze for three seconds.
The expression on Mia's face shifted from bewilderment, to shock, and then to incredulous surprise, finally resulting in a scream that pierced through her defenses.
"You actually did it?!"
