The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!
Chapter 1830 - 506: The Bullet Forged by the People Hits the Chosen One's Head (Part 3)
The Demon King's acolyte, mingling within the Clock Tower, fashioned the replaced copper pointers into bullets, with those bullets embodying the "Thoughts of All" of the million Thunder City citizens and nearly ten million Campbell people!
It shares a work of art with the angels anchored to the Holy City, both belonging to the "extra power" generated by the miracle of faith-convergence!
Its potency cannot be measured by the traditional meaning of extraordinary power or by explosive yield.
It, like the domain of a demigod, belongs to the realm of conceptual power!
At this moment, a ghostly blue butterfly silently slipped through the scaffolding gaps, gently landing on the cold steel support in front of Luo Yan.
Its wings quivered slightly, emitting faint ripples of spirit.
Watching the delicate and beautiful butterfly, the smile at the corner of Luo Yan's lips became even more pronounced.
Just moments ago, a brutal slaughter took place within the monastery on Krant Island.
As he had previously predicted with a fifty percent probability, the King of the Ryan Kingdom had placed Jelock Campbell, who had vowed never to return to secular life, on the assassination list.
The only surprise was that this Theoden Devalu, Your Majesty, had managed to bribe the remnants of the Green Forest Army to act as perpetrators.
Behind the king stood Chaos, behind the Duke stood the Demon King.
"...Things are getting more and more interesting."
Just as well.
Let's use this so-called "Burier," the Chaos Apostle, to try out the bullets condensed from the faith of Thunder City citizens...
…
The Clock Tower of Thunder City sounded its bell right on time at noon, while the bell on Krant Island was delayed amidst the metallic clamor of slaughter, with only the surging waves breaking against the steep cliffs.
The power of time converged at the gun muzzle, causing unease not only in Harlow's heart but also making Thanos secretly alarmed as he held the flintlock gun.
What terrifying power had his Lord Demon King bestowed upon him!?
This was too terrifying!
"Playing tricks!"
Unable to suppress the terror within his heart any longer, the "Burier" Harlow, wary of threats, roared angrily, mustering all his strength.
As a Diamond Level Chaos Chosen, he was feared wherever he went, never having been so underestimated by an unknown minor figure whose presence couldn't even be sensed.
A firearm?
To defeat him—
At least you'll need ten thousand more!
The maniacal fury gradually burned away the fear in his heart; Harlow gripped tightly the massive metallic cross entwined with chain whips, with chaotic red light swelling on the crucifix!
He suddenly stomped the ground, completely shattering the already broken tiles!
He appeared like a runaway war chariot, enveloped in the momentum of crushing everything, charging toward the uninvited guest sitting at the edge of the dome's stained-glass window.
"Die for me!!!" Harlow roared, swinging his arms forward forcefully as if to collapse the entire dome of the Prayer Hall!
Feeling the overwhelming pressure approaching, the severely injured Jelock instinctively held his breath, with his entire blood apparently frozen.
Yet, in the face of that charge capable of leveling a castle, Thanos neither dodged nor evaded but merely aligned the sights of the gun muzzle with that face contorted in rage.
He pulled the trigger, just as the Demon King had instructed.
"Click—"
The flint struck the fire door, yet there was no explosive burst of gunpowder, nor did smoke drift from the gun muzzle.
Only a clear sound echoed, as if an old clock's long-worn spring finally snapped, freezing the pointer in place on the dial.
"As you wish—"
"Go and die."
That was the last sound Harlow heard.
In the instant the sound reached his ears, it was as if the entire world had been paused, frozen in place.
Harlow watched in shock as the blood-colored Prayer Hall lost its scarlet hue, leaving only the pitch-black Saint Sith statue and the pale church stained-glass window.
The colors faded.
The whole world turned into a repressive and deathly black and white, much like the nightmare he unconsciously plunged into every night!
Shock gradually turned into horror.
The expression on his face remained unchanged.
Harlow fearfully realized that though his mind was indeed still functioning and the anger still flared in his chest, his body couldn't move even a tiny bit!
Even the twitching of facial muscles was impossible!
His soul seemed to emerge from his body, overlooking the figure rushing into the sky.
The chaotic cross, imbued with immense power, was still crashing towards the nearby dome, suspended in mid-air like the dust flying beside him.
What exactly happened?!
At the end of that black-and-white world, Harlow suddenly saw a bronzed flying insect.
It was the only color in this black-and-white world, slowly and resolutely flying towards him, containing an unstoppable force within its insignificant body.
The "insect" plunged into the scarlet surrounding Harlow, like a needle pricking into a cotton blanket, without causing a ripple.
Harlow finally saw clearly what it was.
It seemed to be a bullet; amidst the trajectory tearing through space, he vaguely saw an inverted clock.
Was that... the power of time?
This thought had just flashed through Harlow's mind when the ethereal bullet touched his brow, passing through the depths of his soul.
"Tick-tock—"
Faintly, he heard the sound of the hour hand returning to its position.
And at that moment, the massive clock phantom shattered instantly before Harlow, like a giant crushing the Clock Tower of Thunder City, smashing the four faces of the clock into his face.
Harlow couldn't even scream; a black-and-white void appeared on his brow.
No blood splattered.
Nor did brain matter eject.
The chaotic power from the void was erased in an instant by the rapidly flowing time.
Along with it was his physical body.
His decaying body shriveled and withered at a visibly rapid pace... as if undergoing millennia of weathering in just one second!
The speeding cross chain whip flew like a kite with a broken string over Thanos's head, piercing through the dome's stained glass window, lifting his lowered hat brim and Lank hair.
At the same time, the decayed corpse fell backward, crashed heavily onto the damaged floor of the Prayer Hall, and in an instant shattered into dust and bone fragments!
At the moment of Harlow's death, the corpses controlled like puppets fell to the ground one after another, dissipating the bloodshot and ferocity in their eyes.
The Prayer Hall regained its color and sound, yet plunged into an even more deathly silence, with only the tide outside echoing.
Jelock leaned against the broken statue, his mind blank, and after a long time, slowly raised his head to look at the dome of the Prayer Hall.
The shadow demon in a tailcoat never looked at him from beginning to end, merely putting away the gun indifferently, as if he had just casually swatted a fly.
Meanwhile, in an unnoticed corner, a light blue butterfly flew around a shattered stone pillar, first to disappear into that boundless silence.
Jelock swallowed with difficulty, finally regained his voice.
"Who are you..."
He didn't understand why the servant of the Demon King saved him.
Even if the one trying to kill him was the King of Ryan Kingdom, it didn't seem like a bad thing for the Demon King of Thunder County.
They could comfortably watch the drama unfold in the maze.
Thanos raised his index finger to lower the blown-up hat brim, replying indifferently.
"You don't need to know."
Poor Aaron Campbell.
The three children became pawns of the Demon King.
However, for them who were kept in the dark, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing.
After all, throughout all of Hell, there's no more desirable task than being the Demon King's dog, with countless demons yearning in vain.
Thanos glanced pityingly at the young knight, his dark figure merging into the shadows beneath the stained glass as if blown away by the wind.
He disappeared.
As if he had never been here.
The bloody church had only Jelock left.
Holding Saint Sis's broken arm, he stood amidst the chaos of ruins, listening to the still crashing tides outside the window, unable to recover for a long time.
The Campbell family, which stood against demons, was saved by a demon this time...
