While Seraphina was gently blowing on his eye, Vlad sat silently with a long face. She kept stealing glances at him after each tap of the hankie against his eye.

His untied raven hair gave him a distinguished appearance compared to how he usually looked. Distinguished but undeniably handsome.

He looked gentler.

"Does it really hurt?" she finally asked, feeling conflicted.

Vlad shook his head, lifting his eyes to meet hers. "I expected more than just a punch. I’m surprised that you still haven’t thrown me out of your room."

She simply rolled her eyes at his words. "I’m not that cruel. To be honest, I kind of expected you to say that. But still..."

Her grip tightened around the hankie. "It makes me so furious."

"I’m sorry," Vlad lowered his face again in guilt.

"D-don’t make that face again," she muttered, her frown deepening. "I want to be angry. You can’t be acting cute now."

"C-cute?" Vlad raised an eyebrow at her strange choice of words. He was a striking young man with sharp, masculine features. Being called cute should have been a blatant insult.

As a future Legendary Knight, Sir Vlad would never take such disrespect at his face.

"Hmm," Seraphina nodded. She pinched and spread his cheeks as she continued, "When Sera is angry, you should think of a way to soothe her instead of being an irresistible cutie that makes her heart flutter. You understand?"

"..."

Vlad just stared at her silently, looking ridiculous with his skin stretched beneath the mercy of her fingers.

"I didn’t hear a yes, ma’am," Seraphina groaned, her grip tightening on his cheeks.

"Yes, ma’am," Vlad murmured. Perhaps being called cute wasn’t all that bad as long as she was the one saying it.

She finally let go of his skin with a satisfied nod.

A moment later, Vlad asked, nervousness and a hint of fear laced into his voice, "So... have you made your decision?"

She gave him a sharp glare. "Not like I have any choice in the matter. I didn’t lie when I said I’m crazy for you."

Vlad’s face immediately bloomed into an enchanting smile, making her flustered.

"B-but..."

Seraphina mumbled as Vlad leaned closer.

"Th-that doesn’t mean..."

Her heartbeat quickened as Vlad’s face drew even closer.

"Y-you can..."

Her nervous breath brushed against Vlad’s skin, the lamp behind them vanishing as their noses moved past each other.

"T-take advantage..."

Vlad’s hand moved to her slender neck, his thumb resting just ahead of her ear. His lips parted and his eyes closed.

In a slow, deliberate motion, his lips pressed against her soft ones in a gentle peck.

Seraphina’s eyes widened, her pink irises trembling within them. Blood rushed to her face, turning it crimson.

The warmth of Vlad’s lips against hers made her mind dizzy. She held the handkerchief in her hand so tightly, as if she were holding onto her dear life.

Vlad didn’t fare any better. Although he had made the daring move, the incredible softness of Seraphina’s lips against his left him utterly lovestruck.

His dragon heart normally beat far slower than a human’s, yet at that moment, it was pounding faster than any human heart ever could, as if it were desperately trying to break free from his chest.

Their first kiss wasn’t deep. Neither of them knew what they should do next. They just sat there, pressing their lips together. However, the fact that they were sharing this clumsy kiss with each other was reason enough to completely overwhelm them.

Vlad slowly parted his lips and whispered, "I understand."

No response came from Seraphina. Her face was practically fuming from what she had just experienced.

"Aaa!! You can’t just ambush me like that," she whimpered, wrapping her arms around his broad back, her face digging into his neck in a desperate attempt to hide her flustered expression.

She stayed there for a few seconds as both of them tried to calm their racing hearts. If only someone could tell them that their hearts weren’t going to calm down anytime soon if they kept holding each other like that.

"I don’t know about you, but that was my first kiss," Seraphina finally spoke again as she parted from him. She looked at him with a warm smile, tilting her head. "I’m so happy that I shared it with you."

Another critical strike. Vlad’s heart was putting in extra effort to keep its hopeless host alive.

Vlad’s eyes turned sideways as he murmured, rubbing the back of his head. "That was my first kiss as well."

Seraphina blinked, surprise clear on her serene face.

"Hey, don’t look at me like that," Vlad hissed, sensing the disbelief on her face. "I’m not some kind of playboy."

"..."

"That was really my first lip kiss!" He insisted, feeling wronged now.

Seraphina broke into small giggles, her eyes narrowing in mischief. The faint light of the room made her look even more heavenly as she laughed.

"I was just teasing you, cutie," she chuckled, ruffling the hair on his head. "I never thought you would almost break into tears."

"That’s too far-fetched," Vlad scoffed, rolling his eyes. He had spent years building this masculine body. He couldn’t just let her get away with teasing him and calling him cutie. If word got out, he would become a laughingstock among his friends. He needed to think of a plan to get the upper hand and get back at her a hundredfold.

"Jokes aside," Seraphina continued after having her fill of teasing him. "I’m glad that I took your first kiss," she stated with a playful wink.

But again, since she was his adorable girlfriend, he would let it slide just this once. He would definitely not let her get away with it next time!

Seraphina took one last glance at Vlad’s face before rising from his lap. As much as she loved sitting in his lap, sleeping in his arms would feel even better.

She had only created a slight distance between them when she stopped midway, her eyes falling on Vlad’s body.

"E-e-e-e... Eight-pack..." She gulped, a strand of drool slipping from the corner of her lips.
