The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

“This place is…” Klaus muttered right as he appeared in an empty space. The place was completely dark, and the only light was him.

He was the only thing visible there.

He looked around for a while, but he saw nothing. Walking around, he could tell the place was completely empty.

So he sat down and started to wait.

When he passed out, he was tired, so he decided to give his body some rest. Maybe by then, he would be able to see something worth paying attention to.

However, a day passed, yet there was nothing there to see.

However, he didn’t say anything and just remained there. Three days quickly passed, and before he knew it, a week went by, yet he remained rooted in the same spot.

Meanwhile, a week had passed on the outside.

Old Lu was using the plan Klaus gave him and started training the teams. He started with normal routines, but as time went by, he started giving them missions like hunting missions.

Initially, it was against the remaining monsters that were under the command of the Flame Lava Lion. They were the reason why the triplets used their combined skill and nearly caused havoc.

However, within two days, the rest were eradicated.

He picked them because they were the closest to the destroyed camp, but aside from that, it was his way of training the fire elemental warriors.

They lived in a lava-infested region of the badland, so that helped them train, kill, and gather fire-type cores.

He was doing a good job so far.

On the other hand, Klaus’s ladies took a break from their training and instead dedicated that to taking care of Pickle Berry, who, just like Klaus, had also passed out.

Using the harem connection, Oheme was tasked with buying stuff meant for little girls. This was their first trial at having a daughter who was too old for her appearance.

They hadn’t communicated with Pickle Berry yet, so they were happy having a daughter. A week passed, but she hadn’t woken up.

“I wonder when she will wake up,” Lily said with a glint that said she couldn’t wait to meet Pickle Berry.

“Me too,” Anna was the same. The rest of the ladies also nodded.

“Klaus called her Pickle Berry. Would that be her name?” Lulu asked, thinking of the rather unusual name Klaus picked for the little snake girl.

“We should probably come up with a new name,” Nari suggested.

“No,” suddenly, a small and sweet voice entered the conversation, “I like Pickle Berry.”

“She is awake,” Lily giggled, looking at the silver-haired snake girl with silver eyes and hair. Her hair was perfectly combed, and she was now clad in a more comfortable gown.

“Where is Big Brother?” Pickle Berry asked, letting Lily help her sit up on the bed.

“Big Brother, as in Klaus?” Anna asked.

“Yes. Where is he, and how long was I out for?” Surprisingly, the little girl, who was not older than 5, was able to form sentences better than one would expect.

“He is not yet back from his cultivation,” Queenie said, making Pickle Berry sigh. It was as if she knew what had happened, so she looked at every last face.

“I will go help him now, and then after, we can play.” She closed her eyes and took a meditation posture.

“Is it just me, or is she too old for her age? I feel like I was talking to my ancestor,” Nia said, causing her sisters to nod. Indeed, just now, they all felt like they were talking to some ancient immortal ancestor.

“Still, we have a daughter, so I am okay with that,” Nari said, still obsessed with the idea of finally having a daughter.

Her sisters knew it was a phase. She knew nothing about emotions until about a month ago, so it was only natural for her to feel this way.

But even without that, she was just too happy to have someone they all could obsess over.

“She said we would play after she helped Klaus, so why don’t we get ready?” Queenie said, and the rest of her sisters nodded.

Lulu, on the other hand, felt that the meaning behind the little girl’s words was much more profound. Just now, when she entered her soul sea, she saw something, something that shook her heart.

So she knew her “let’s play after” words meant different things from the way she sounded.

The ladies went to get ready, leaving only Kathy and Hanna, who were equally obsessed with the small snake human. A few minutes after the ladies left, a green mark appeared on Pickle Berry’s forehead.

Inside her soul sea, she appeared behind Klaus and gazed at his meditating back; a small smile appeared on her face.

“It seems you are not lazy this time around, Big Brother,” Pickle Berry said, causing Klaus to open his eyes and turn back.

“I knew it was your soul sea.” Klaus hugged the little snake girl, who giggled and curled in his arm. Klaus brushed her head with his hands, making her smile.

“How are you, Brother? The last time we saw each other, you gave the heavens the middle finger and died. It’s good to see our plan worked.

Though I know this is your incarnation, I know you are the same person.”

“I am fine, Pickle Berry, and yes, I am not Kaden, but I met him, and I have to say, he is one interesting dude.”

“But I am more interesting than him,” Klaus laughed, knowing Kaden would take offense considering his source of information is Pickle Berry.

“You are the combination of all nine of you, so it’s only right to be more interesting. However, now that I am here, the heavens will be very pissed.

But they are about to have a nasty welcome.”

An evil smile appeared on Pickle Berry’s face as she waved her hand.

The moment she did, the light started appearing in her soul sea. Then, one light fell on a giant stone with a drawing of a giant body.

Written atop it was “Unbreakable Titan Body.”

Another appeared, and on it was a drawing of another giant but with six hands, “Giant Asura Body.”

Soon, hundreds and thousands of stone tablets like that started appearing in her soul sea, making Klaus and Pickle Berry burst into evil laughter, one that would make the heavens bleed.

“The mission was a success, Big Brother. Operation Make the Heavens Bleed was a success. Now, we create our own army, and this time, we must succeed in destroying them.”
