Chapter 752 - 752: Kaden, the 8th Incarnation (4)
The first time his anger got the best of him was when he tried to kill Kate Duncan back in the academy.
It was a mistake he would have regretted. Thankfully, that didn’t happen.
Even then, if he had somehow survived the heavenly tribulation, it would have set him back several years.
So he knew what Kaden said wasn’t false claims.
However, hearing one of his incarnations lost it and went berserk, Klaus was rather shaken.
The sly Kaden just smiled at him.
After a while, Klaus recovered.
“Tell me everything,” he asked in a tone that wouldn’t take no for an answer.
“But that is not possible, at least the telling you everything part. However, I can tell you something that will help you when you finally remember that time.” Kaden got serious.
“Basically, the seventh incarnation was our first time experiencing world awakening, so we didn’t really know how much the heavens wanted us dead.
It was then we realized they wouldn’t hesitate to kill billions just to get to us.
Bear in mind that we were very powerful back then, but we weren’t the most popular, mainly because of our nature.
We weren’t popular, not because we were a Paragon. Nobody knew that; however, they hated us because of the kind of existence we were.
You will find out about it later because even I don’t know.
But what I am meant to tell you has something to do with the moment it all went to shit.
It seems our hatred is our strength.
Whenever we fight using that hatred, nothing can stop us. Of course, we have a fix for it, but because we weren’t really the popular kind back then, we couldn’t fill our lives with love like we did in the past.
So it went to shit when friends and comrades started dying. You know the rest.
We lost control, and when it was all over, we lost, for everything was gone. We lost our hearts, and that was what made us forever hateful.
We hated everything to the point of hating our existence. It took many years, hundreds of thousands of them, for Yuying to fix us up.
But even so, the aura of hatred was already created, which means our future would have to deal with that aura.
Now, I am telling you this because your world awakening may not be as you expect, so please, when that time comes and you sense it, don’t resist.
Resisting is the last thing you want.
“Let it flow, and when it’s finally out, point your weapon at the heavens, for they are the ones you should hate, not the tools they are manipulating.
Leave the tools to your soldiers, your friends, and your lovers. They are your strength, so don’t restrict them. Your target should be the heavens.
They say the Heavenly Dao is fair and just, but that is a lie, and you will know soon.” Kaden took a big sigh, watching Klaus clench his fist.
“Tell me… This hatred was because I lost someone dear to me. Someone close to my heart,” Klaus asked, but Kaden just smiled.
This smile was enough to tell him what he wanted to know.
“No need to look down. You are here because you went against the heavens and successfully rescued your lost companion. You should be happy about that.”
“Well, I don’t feel that enthusiastic. And I didn’t win all by myself; I had help from a friend of yours,” Klaus said, now remembering he hadn’t even asked his benefactor what his name was.
“Oh, are you talking about Jkan? That bastard really kept his promise? However, expected. May his soul rest in peace.”
Kaden smiled despite the situation he was describing.
“He didn’t die, you bastard; I saved him,” Klaus said, finally getting a name.
“Good for him. The last time we met, he was going to go to the forbidden universe and wait for my return, despite my giving him a task to fulfill for me.
Looks like he didn’t die there and returned in one piece. Good for him.”
“It’s been over a million years, right? So how is he still alive?” This question had been bothering him for a while now.
He knew immortality meant never dying of old age. But living over a million years isn’t something that can easily be fathomed.
So then, how does it work?
Kaden smiled, knowing he had managed to distract Klaus from the discovery that he had lost control and nearly caused a disaster for himself and the future versions of him.
“When you get to the immortal stage, you must first go through three levels of immortality called the First, Real, and Sage. These stages are where most immortals get stuck.
However, the moment you pass that stage, you become a True Immortal. The rest depends on whether you want to chase after the seven levels of immortality and become a demigod.
But the moment you become a True Immortal, death by natural age is something you wouldn’t have to worry about.
“Some can even sleep for millions of years. It may sound bizarre, but beings from our first incarnation still live to this day”.
“That is wild. I only lived as far as the First Immortal stage in the 4th incarnation, but I killed gods and even a Supreme,” Klaus bragged.
“Congratulations on your achievements,” Kaden laughed, causing Klaus to smirk.
Back then, they feared him. The title Renegade Immortal was the bane of most gods. Even he killed a Supreme, someone above a god.
That was something very wild.
“A question, though. If there are beings still alive from our many incarnations, then won’t they recognize us and nip us in the bud once and for all?”
“Haha…” Kaden laughed. The question is rather funny yet serious.
“They wouldn’t recognize us until after we become demi-gods and start ascending to the god stage. It was also the reason why we hadn’t tried ascending before.
The moment the stolen memories are returned to them, they will attack, and ascending to the god stage can take years, so better be prepared.”
“I shouldn’t have asked,” Klaus sighed. Knowing all this made him wonder just what he did wrong to these people.
“You will know soon enough, so why not?” Kaden smirked.
“Now, you have to go back. The ritual is almost complete. Remember, even though Pickle Berry is young and not that powerful, listen to her and that figure in your soul.” Kaden gently touched Klaus’s shoulder.
Kaden was talking about the senior inside his soul.
“They are your greatest allies.” He let go, and Klaus opened his eyes back to the real world.
Immediately, as he did, his eyes landed on a little girl with silver hair hovering before him. He tried to adjust his eyes to the light, but before he could, a silver light shot from the little girl’s eyes and entered Klaus’s forehead.
He fell back and passed out.
The little girl formed a hand seal and pointed her little finger at him, shooting about another light into his body.
A beam shot from him, parting the clouds.
