Chapter 737 - 737: Deaths Chosen (1)
“Dragon Slash,” Klaus unleashed an attack, causing a large fire dragon to gush out from his sword, striking the ice-cold body of the Tier 11 snake.
It was pushed back, but the attack did little to nothing to wound it. It was like it landed on the hardest metal.
However, Klaus wasn’t really about that. He has other ways to make it bleed.
The [Demon Cutting Disc] moved, and before the snake could recover from the fire dragon attack, the disc split into thousands of discs that descended on the snake and started cutting it.
However, most of the attacks produced sparks, showing how tough the snake’s skin really was. Klaus wasn’t ordinary, either.
He had fully unlocked his memories as Fruity, meaning he had all his skills and, strangely, all his weapons.
One such weapon is the cauldron, one that doesn’t have an origin. It’s a strange weapon Fruity got from one ancient ruin when he and Yuying explored and trained many years ago.
To date, aside from using it for defense and absorbing any attack, the only other thing he ever did with that cauldron was pound-hard stuff.
“If I can’t injure you, then I will pound you.”
This is the catchphrase Fruity uses whenever the Dark Cauldron is out.
And now, Klaus brought it out and made it hover above him. There were no skills to it, for he didn’t know its secrets, so all he was doing was sending his energy into it.
The more star qi he injected, the stronger and bigger the cauldron became. It soon filled the sky, increasing in size until it was almost as big as a house.
Klaus then formed a hand seal and pointed his fingers together.
The cauldron moved and descended on the snake, shaking the ground beneath it. When it landed on the snake’s body, even the ground cracked.
This time, the body of the snake sustained a cut.
It was just a cut, but that was enough for the battle Klaus had in mind. A single drop of blood flew and entered Klaus’s forehead, entering his soul sea.
Inside his fifth core, a gloomy, dark diagram he had never seen before or even knew was hidden inside the thick darkness in his soul sea has now come to life.
The fifth core is made of pure darkness. He knew nothing of it since whenever he entered that place, he immediately ran away.
But inside the darkness, now, a dark diagram is activated, and within this dark diagram, 25 smaller diagrams are inside, each possessing different abilities.
The blood entered the diagram, and the whole 25 smaller diagrams started to come to life.
Meanwhile, Klaus was unleashing attack after attack while dodging and making sure the snake’s attacks didn’t land on him.
Naturally, with his numerous soul weapons in his possession, he was swimming through the attacks while raining weapons on the snake.
But one thing was certain: killing the snake wasn’t as simple as he expected. It was proving to be much more difficult than he expected.
But then again, he wasn’t fully focused on the battle, so that can be expected. That will chain soon, though.
But the Tier 11 was proving to be a different ball game.
This begs the question: Just how strong are the other Tier 11 monsters sitting at the peak that he would have to kill or tame soon enough?
Klaus didn’t want to think of that at the moment, so he tapped into his memories and used the skills he had acquired all those years.
He was doing a good job for a Great Sage, but fighting a Tier 11 wasn’t something he should be doing. But he was doing it, and it looked dope as fuck.
Far from him, Queen Lunara was overwhelming her opponent. The flame diagram behind her had turned to the second small diagram, giving her a monstrous boost.
Whenever she swung her scythe, all the attacks coming out would take the shape of countless flaming scythes, each as deadly as they come.
The snake she was fighting was really facing a lot, for it never even had a chance to attack from the start of the battle. Unlike how it was attacking Klaus, the queen wasn’t giving it any chance.
“Slash of the Fire Nova.”
Her sweet voice echoed as the manifestation of her scythe appeared and extended in the air, becoming large and long. Then she swung the scythe in her hand, causing the manifestation to descend on the snake.
The snake curled its body and activated a defense skill since there was no escaping that attack. Naturally, this was what the queen was aiming for.
Just when the scythe arrived on the snake’s body, she snapped her finger.
“Burst of the Fire Nova.”
A blinding explosion rocked the battlefield, creating a powerful shockwave that pushed everything back.
Naturally, this attack only affected the snake and the landscape since the rest of her teammates were in the air.
The snake was blown back, its body littered with many cuts.
“Die.”
She moved again, and this time, her eyes were engulfed in flames, and her body was also radiating intense fire energy. Her scythe was also bathed in flames as she descended on the snake.
However, just when she was in attack range and was about to unleash a powerful attack that would end the snake, a voice entered her head, causing her to miss the attack.
“Don’t.”
That was the only thing the voice said, but as if knowing the voice was to be trusted, she missed the attack. The shockwave further damaged the snake, pushing it further back.
Queen Lunara looked around her, but she saw nothing. However, when her eyes landed on Klaus’s back, as if it all clicked, she knew what had to be done.
The fire diagram behind her moved to the fourth, causing her to raise her scythe up.
“Bind by flames.” Seven copies of it appeared in the air and descended, creating a severe barrier containment around the snake.
“Nullification.” She clapped her hands together. The seven scythes burst into flames and created a burning barrier around the snake.
“Agony of the flame.” She activated a different skill, yet still, while the fourth diagram was active.
“Binding by the flames of agony.”
Then she sat down.
Under normal circumstances, in a battle where there are hidden foes, using this skill is the last thing she would have wanted. But in a one-on-one battle, the moment she had the chance to use it, it was game over.
So she sat down and started muttering some strange mantra that immediately started causing the barrier to strengthen and close in on the snake.
Its painful cries could be heard, but the Queen wasn’t about its feelings. Her plan now was to seal it and wait for Klaus to kill it.
Just now, her voice spoke to her, warning her not to kill the snake, and when she looked at Klaus, the white-haired brat used a saber move to warn her.
Something that escaped the heavens completely.
They overlooked the white-haired brat using a single swing of his sword to warn the queen, telling her what to do.
He played them and they failed to notice it.
