Chapter 1519: The Mad Hunter (1)
Chapter 1519: The Mad Hunter (1)
As Klaus and Eiko made their way to the Engineering College, word of the Renegade Hunter joining the Engineering College instead of the Warrior College spread like wildfire.
Many were left dumbfounded, unsure why Klaus had made such a decision.
In their opinion, Klaus was supposed to join the Warrior College and fight for the College King’s position. The College King was the academy’s strongest disciple.
The academy, huge as it might be, only had demigod students and below. Once a student reached the God Stage, they were sent out to temper themselves in active battles.
So, the current College King, a student of the Warrior College, was expected to clash with Klaus at some point to determine who was stronger. Many knew it would be a fierce battle, considering Number One wasn’t someone to underestimate.
Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be happening. That position is only contested by warriors in the warrior college.
Many became disappointed, while others beamed with joy and anticipation. They had already seen Klaus’s power as a warrior; now, they wanted to see him as an Engineer.
Klaus heard whispers as they moved through the air, leaving behind a freezing cold trail. After five minutes, they arrived at the Engineering College and quickly headed inside to register.
Klaus soon emerged from the administration block after registering and was scheduled to take an evaluation test the next day to determine his current tier and which class he would be placed in.
Knowing he wouldn’t be doing anything for the day, he asked Eiko to show him around. She gladly accepted, and so they started their tour.
A few minutes into their tour, they found themselves in a large hall where over a thousand students were drawing all kinds of schematics on large screens.
When Klaus appeared in that space, a sense of familiarity overwhelmed him. It was as though he had returned to being that sly little monster who had created the first-ever X-Class Weapon in the universe.
He felt happy, as though he had arrived somewhere he truly belonged.
However, before he could approach any of the screens, the news playing suddenly changed to breaking news. When Klaus saw the name that appeared on the screen, his body shuddered.
---
"Breaking News.
Word reaching us from the camp of Heavens Court is that they have located the most wanted fugitives who fled the face of the universe 20,000 years ago and have finally been found.
"Folks, the Mad Hunter has been found, and he is with his wife, the Princess of the Death Angel Race, alongside his five notorious sworn brothers, the Five Blood Guards.
"The Heavens Court has already dispatched the 25th Heavens Army to bring them in dead or alive. Aside from them, many bounty hunters, mercenaries, warriors, and even hunters have already departed to work together to bring these criminals to justice."
---
"No way..." Eiko muttered, turning to look at Klaus, who held a calm expression on the outside while burning with rage on the inside.
"Don’t tell me you don’t know who the Mad Hunter and the Princess of Death are," Eiko asked, prompting Klaus to turn and look at her.
"I know they are the Paragon’s parents."
Eiko nodded.
"That is indeed true. However, aside from that, the two of them, especially the Mad Hunter, were legendary figures 20,000 years ago, from what I have read.
"In fact, I don’t know if his blades were dull, but from what I know, he was one of the most dangerous beings this universe had ever seen." She paused and reevaluated her words. "Well, aside from the Asura God and the Paragon of Death."
She smiled, almost as though she had seen her idol.
"They said that in his prime, when he had just become a True Immortal, he could kill demigods and had even killed a God before. By the time he reached the Demigod Stage, even Universe Gods cowered before him.
"Also, he is the Crown Prince of the Blood Demon Race, one of the deadliest demon races and a member of the Neutral Faction. They can be both friend and foe depending on how you approach them.
"As for the Princess of Death, or as they used to call her, the Angel of Death, she was also a menace. She rivalled the Mad Hunter, and some even say she might have been stronger than him.
"That has never been confirmed, but I have come to believe that today, we will finally see who among them is stronger."
Eiko sighed and spoke in a hushed tone.
"I just hope they don’t die."
Klaus said nothing but raised a brow.
"You sound like a fan of the Paragon and his parents."
Eiko smiled and replied, "I may not look like it, but I am a junior member of the Knowledge Tower, so I have access to more knowledge than many others. While I don’t support the Paragon, I don’t hate him either.
"I believe that if he were given the chance, he would prove that he isn’t the monster people think he is."
Klaus smiled and pulled Eiko to sit with him.
"That is left to be determined. For now, let’s watch and see who walks out alive today. The parents of the Paragon... or the Heavens Court."

Seated inside the SSS-Class Obsidian Spaceship as it sped through the Dark Universe Channel, Klaus’s Paragon incarnation suddenly jumped to his feet, a chill running down his spine.
"Asmodeus."
A mist appeared, and Asmodeus walked out from it, his back straight. He could sense that his master was angry, and so he didn’t dare joke around.
"My Lord, you called?"
"Can you still utilise the mark you left on my uncle’s?" the Paragon asked.
"Yes. However, it would take at least half an hour to fully open a portal."
"Get on it right away."
The spaceship emerged from the Dark Universe Channel and slowed down. The Paragon paced back and forth, carrying all the emotions his other bodies couldn’t.
Klaus was at the academy, so showing emotions wouldn’t do him any good. Rhazor was on his way to the Devil’s Maw, so he too was out of helping range.
Efad hadn’t recovered yet from entering the Void Realm to see what had happened to the Void Gate that had been sealed by the first Celestials.
As for Kaden, he had a role to play. In fact, Klaus was counting on him, for if his parents were to have any slim chance of survival without exposing trump cards like the Burning Angel and King Alric, Kaden had to succeed in his mission.
---
Thanks to Lady Elysia, Klaus’s mother, who insisted on buying devices to connect them to the Uniweb, the moment the breaking news appeared, they saw it and instantly directed their ship to leave the Dark Universe Channel.
"How did they find us?" Hunter asked, his expression turning cold.
They had been careful and made sure every stop they made was clean and free of suspicion. So how had they been tracked?
"They will be here in five minutes," Uncle Ziggy said, his hand moving to his revolver.
Uncle Mark summoned his shield.
Uncle James held his boomerangs in a firm grip.
Uncle Jojo rotated both hands, his gauntlets exuding ice.
Uncle Xian placed the handle of his axe on his shoulder.
Meanwhile, Lady Elysia held her sword, a cold look plastered across her face. Ten strands of Divine Qi moved around her.
She turned and looked at Klaus’s father.
"Hunter."
Klaus’s father turned and looked at her, a smile forming on his face.
"It seems they think I am still the same person I was 20,000 years ago."
A black sword that exuded the power of a Demigod appeared in his hand as he released a soundless chuckle.
"Let them come. It’s been a long time since I bathed in the blood of my enemies."
Five minutes later, the first ship arrived.
