The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1392 1392: Warrior X Hunter (2)

Chapter 1392 1392: Warrior X Hunter (2)

The silence enveloped the entire Arena and even travelled billions of light-years across the universe, leaving everyone wondering if it was worth taking Klaus seriously.

In fact, after a few minutes of thinking, they came to the conclusion that jumping into the arena and giving him a reality check is the next best thing.

There is just no way a person should be that shameless, not when their battle is being watched by five Supremes.

However, looking at his smile, one can tell he is not bothered by the looks he was getting. In fact, he is more focused on how much he would be earning if his modeling career takes off.

Back on Earth, he had a career in fashion modelling, so perhaps taking it universal is the next path.

Inside the VIP room, Supreme Elder Juo sneers and turns to the Doom Hunter. "Some Hunters you have in your organization."

Doom Hunter smiles. "I beg to differ."

"How so?"

"Just look around you. Everyone at the moment sees him as a joke. However, behind that nonchalant nature, you, as a warrior, can tell he is the perfect weapon. He makes it seem like he is not serious, but a slight mistake and he will become your most dreaded opponent.

I think he wanted to make himself appear this way to further tease your Warrior Temple when he wins."

"That would be funny as hell," Supreme Engineer Winnie muttered, a smile playing at the corner of her lips.

"That would indeed be funny. After all, they couldn't have picked a better opponent to humiliate. I wonder how much fun my Hunters will have with your people when the Renegade Hunter is done wiping the floor with your Star Warrior."

"I guess we will see in just a moment."

Just as Supreme Elder Juo said that, Blue Ivy finally managed to regain her composure. She gave Klaus a glance, then asked them to distance themselves.

They moved back 2 km, maintaining 4 km between them. Blue Ivy vanished from the Arena and appeared atop a small platform.

"Since we are here now, then we might as well start."

The moment those words came out of her mouth, Rouni's aura surged. In an instant, he turned from a calm-looking warrior into a battle-ready warrior.

Klaus felt his aura from 4 km away, and he couldn't help but furrow his brow.

"How fancy. Your killing intent is not half bad."

Instead of releasing his own aura, he raised his left hand and beckoned to Rouni as if telling him, "Come get me."

Rouni took offence, and he moved, his body exploding into deadly, fierce speed. In an instant, he was standing before Klaus, one sword aimed at his throat, the other aimed at his stomach.

Klaus moved sideways and ducked. Then, as if taking a walk, he moved farther right, completely evading the attack.

He teleported to 4 km away.

"Again."

Rouni stops and looks at him for a moment before he moves again. This time, however, just when he was before Klaus, three clones of himself appear and cover all escape routes, encircling him on all sides.

Klaus saw this, and a smile appeared on his face. "I excel in the cloning Art."

The next moment, over twenty versions of himself appear all over the battlefield.

Rouni and his three clones manage to destroy the version of Klaus they had encircled. However, it was after they destroyed him that he noticed Klaus had long left the encirclement.

To make it even more shocking and infuriating, when he turned toward Klaus, he saw ten clones waving at him and three clones holding a large banner with some writing on it.

"Put some effort into the battle, Rouni. This is not child's play."

These words got to Rouni, so he exploded with even more aura. He threw one sword into the air, and in an instant, thousands of swords appeared in the air.

Rouni was angry, and so he wanted to end the battle as fast as possible.

All over the arena, everyone couldn't help but take in a deep breath when the swords appeared. The only one who seemed calm was Klaus, who, just as the swords appeared, stomped on the ground, and the Earth formed into a throne for him to sit on.

Rouni didn't mind, and attacked, causing the swords to move, shooting toward Klaus at a deadly speed. Just when everyone started to wonder what trick Klaus was going to play, he did most shocking thing.

He pointed his scythe at Rouni and asked, "Have you ever heard the term back to sender?"

Right when he said that, their positions switched. Rouni, who held one sword pointed at Klaus, found himself seated on the throne, and Klaus was now standing at Rouni's original position.

But that wasn't all. The throne he sat on suddenly turned to metal, transforming the arm of the throne into metallic cuffs.

They grabbed hold of Rouni, restricting his movement.

Gasps spread across the arena and all over the universe. Even Rouni became shocked, finding himself in such a compromising position. However, he had no time to think about it.

The swords were coming so he had to make a move.

He first broke free and was about to deactivate the sword attack when a deadly scythe came from his left. Klaus took the initiative to attack.

His attack came down with deadly force, causing Rouni to lift his sword. But just when their weapons met, Rouni felt a deadly force come from his back.

His other sword moved to meet the sharp edge of the Killing Disc that Klaus was controling with his mind.

BAM

However, with both hands engaged, he was exposed on his right side, so Klaus's leg found its mark, and with a deadly strike, Rouni was sent flying.

"Deadly Metal Spikes," Klaus gestured, and thousands of spikes formed from the metal element appeared on the ground, shooting toward Rouni as he flew through the air.

Thankfully, he anticipated this, so he teleported and appeared far from the spikes. He took a moment to look at Klaus, analysing everything. He had lost the first exchange, and that was plain from the feeling of pain coming from his side.

The mere fact that happened showed he had lost face, so he wanted to redeem himself.

Klaus, however, held a smile on his face, his scythe resting on his shoulder as the Killing Disc spun slowly behind him.

"What do you think now, Rouni? Do I qualify as a worthy opponent, or do you need some more convincing?" Klaus was not even done when Rouni vanished.

The next second, the clouds formed, and a deadly bolt tore from the heavens, aimed right at Klaus. Inside the cloud, a silhouette of Rouni appeared, forming a hand seal.

Klaus narrowed his gaze at the lightning, feeling a sense of dread.

"That is dangerous."

Sensing the danger, he swung his scythe forward, creating a deadly arc. The two met and exploded, sending a shockwave.

The force from the shockwave pushed Klaus back.

Just as he was pushed back, Rouni appeared from the cloud, holding two swords bathed in green lightning.

"That is Divine Lightning," Supreme Engineer Winnie muttered, then asked, "How can he use Divine Lightning?"

Before her question could be answered, Rouni attacked, both swords taking a stab at Klaus. The aim was perfect and very fast.

Klaus clearly saw it coming, but he had no time to dodge or defend.

Rouni knew that would happen, so he took advantage of it. Seeing Klaus out of options, a smirk formed on his lips.

Then one of his Immortal Rings flared. "Just die already."

Everyone held their breath, watching as the swords came inches from Klaus's skin.

However, before they could stab him, something strange happened.

Rouni mainly activated his Immortal Ring to overpower Klaus by increasing the speed of his stab. However, just when success was within reach, Klaus winked, and then everything came to a stop.

Rouni and his attack stopped, and for a moment, everyone couldn't help but wonder why that happened.

The next second, however, Klaus moved, and instead of attacking, a paintbrush and a palette of paint appeared.

Then, under everyone's stunned gaze, Klaus started painting on Rouni's face.

Supreme Elder Juo's face turned green, his fury rising. However, no matter how angry he was, just the mere fact that there were four more Supreme Elders there meant he couldn't do anything.

The Doom Hunter saw this, and he couldn't help but burst into resounding laughter. "This kid is funny and dangerous at the same time.

To think he can stop time and instead of attacking, he wasted it on something this funny makes me wonder what else he is hiding."

"Quantum Time Looping, huh? It's been a while since I saw someone who can do that," Supreme Queen Mirabel muttered, looking at Klaus spend his dear time painting Rouni's face.

Around his left wrist, a green runic circle with ten nodes spun. As it spun, the nodes slowly started to die, showing his time was running out.

Once the last node dies, time will resume.

"Isn't he going too far?" Supreme Scholar Demel asked, but the Doom Hunter rebuked him.

"I think he is doing just what he said he would do. He is telling Rouni he has all the means in the world to kill him, but he chooses to mess with him.

I mean, what better way to show your opponent you are the best than by having ample time to paint their face instead of killing them?"

"Isn't it a waste, though? He could have just killed him and been done with it."

"Then how else would he use him as a training dummy like he had promised when he accepted his challenge?" The Doom Hunter sure knew what he was doing.

Just like the hunters on the web, he came specifically to mess with Supreme Elder Juo.

Nobody else had anything to say against that. Three seconds later, the time stop ended, and Rouni resumed his stab. It was an empty stab, one that even the air didn't feel it.

Klaus was 100 meters away, holding a large mirror.

"What do you think? Do you like my painting?"

Seeing the skull image painted on his face, his anger exploded.

"AarrrgggHH!" He screamed, his aura and all three Immortal Rings activating at once. The next second, he was upon Klaus, his attack growing more fierce.

"Now we dance."
