Chapter 1217: Planet Mechalon
Chapter 1217: Planet Mechalon
It took some convincing and many kisses, but eventually, Klaus’s wives left the ship and teleported back to Earth.
One reason why they left was that Klaus was getting closer to the first intergalactic station, where he would gather some information before finding a destination.
The planet he is heading to is a trade planet, just like the one where Yuying and Nadia went. However, this one was much bigger and more dangerous.
Nadia and Yuying made sure to secure a map of the Milky Way Galaxy, so he chose this planet to be his start.
“Once we get to this planet, I will go get my Universe ID and bank account before finding something to do,” Klaus said to Maud, whom he had summoned just a few hours ago.
It had been a year since she left to cultivate on the ice planet. She had made so much progress, and judging by the aura of an Empyrean-stage warrior around her, it was clear she was ready to walk side by side with a Paragon.
She nodded to Klaus’s words and started looking at the map projection.
After a few minutes, she pointed at a planet twelve light-years from the trade planet.
“Since you want to become an immortal much faster, why don’t we go to that place and start looking for ways to get the materials you need? It seems like it is much bigger than the trade planet and free to do as we please.”
Klaus thought for a moment and nodded.
He would indeed be very happy if he became immortal soon. His destination this time was the Beast Universe to see his parents.
Of course, he knew it would take time and would be very dangerous, so he first wanted to become an immortal before venturing into the dark depths of the universe.
“We will check it out, and then after we acquire everything, we will head toward the Beast Universe.”
Klaus leaned back in his chair and observed the map some more.
There were many worlds to explore, but Klaus knew that could be done later. Right now, gathering strength was the only path forward.
Some time later, the ship emerged from warp, since they were only a couple of million miles from the planet.
It was a ring planet called Mechalon.
The instant they came out of warp, they saw many ships also moving toward the planet and even a couple moving away.
This sight made Klaus smile… ’I am finally here.’
He walked to the back of the ship and opened a window to have a better look. Maud remained in her chair, looking uninterested.
…Well, since she had covered her face, there was no telling if she had any expression on her face…
Klaus observed everything happening around them for a while until the ring world appeared in their sight.
It was a yellow planet, probably thanks to the yellow sun illuminating its surface. The ring was made from green asterious that glowed at night.
During the day, the planet’s surface was yellow, but at night it looked green—a rather unusual yet popular place for many travelers.
“This is going to be an amazing adventure.”
Soon, they entered the planet’s atmosphere and started heading to a docking bay. While in the air, Klaus observed the stunning display of wealth and luxury that spread far and wide.
The buildings were a sight to behold. Buildings float in the air using anti-gravity cores
Klaus knew it would take Earth a couple more years to reach the level of worlds that had awakened millions of years ago.
However, he couldn’t help feeling like this world was out of a fantasy novel.
Both the air and the ground were utilized by flying cars and people. Klaus observed that the patrolling warriors were robots made with a rather natural technology, making them appear more human than most humans.
Of course, Klaus soon discovered that these people were not merely obsessed with having robots; the entire race was robotic humans.
Even from up in the air, he managed to discern the race of the people.
They were called Mechalians, or, as the rest of the universe called people like them, Cybernetic Humans. There were many races like them, mostly regarded as Cybernetics because they had parts of their bodies made of metal.
Metallic skin plates fused with organic flesh. Blue or red glowing eyes. Mechanical joints on arms and legs. Some had visible gears beneath transparent skin sections.
Klaus had seen many races, so he wasn’t too shocked by this discovery.
⟪You have discovered Planet Mechalon⟫
⟪A hyper-advanced world where humans evolved through technological evolution⟫
“They are just like Abyss.”
Klaus muttered, remembering his machine beast, which had entered a cocoon state right after the awakening war.
“Although the Machine race is pure metallic, these people can be considered their cousins,” he laughed while Maud remained emotionless.
Klaus was already used to her quiet nature, so he didn’t mind.
A few minutes later, their ship landed in the docking bay, where a Mechalian lady stood holding a screen that looked like a wooden board.
“Welcome to Mechalon,” the lady greeted them in a language Klaus understood.
’It’s been a long time since I spoke the universal tongue.’ A feeling of déjà vu washed over him as he heard the words enter his ears.
“Good to be here,” Klaus smiled, then added a few words that made the lady smile as well, “You can speak your language since I can also speak it.”
The lady was clearly lacking in the universal tongue. But Klaus, who had the Universal Enigma, could speak and read any language once he heard it.
The lady seemed skeptical at first, but she sighed and said a few words in her language.
“Is this your first time in Mechalon?”
“Yes. My name is Klaus. I come from a faraway place and would love to get my Universe ID and a bank account before doing other things.”
The lady seemed surprised when Klaus spoke fluently, as if he were a Mechalian.
But then she recognized that Klaus wasn’t the only one who could speak the Mechalon language, even though they weren’t Mechalian.
Many can speak, but just not as fluently as Klaus.
“Kindly follow me, Klaus.” Just then, Maud walked out of the ship, causing the lady to look at the dark-clad woman, whose only visible part was her dark eyes beneath a netted veil.
“She is my companion and guardian. I happen to be leaving home for the first time, you see.”
The lady nodded, “Then in that case, follow me… You both.”
Klaus nodded.
Soon, they stood on a platform that suddenly rose and began moving toward a tall building in the distance.
“On Planet Mechalon, flying using spiritual or immortal energy is prohibited. You can move about on either a floating board or a flying vehicle.
If you disobey and dare try it, not only would you be thrown out, but you would be banned from ever coming to Mechalon again.”
Klaus nodded. He already seemed to have made this deduction when he saw many people flying on these boards.
After flying for a few minutes, they arrived in front of the large building. “Universal Identification Center, huh?” This was his first time seeing something like this.
In the past, there was no such thing as an Identification center.
“Yes. You can get your IDs there. It is a simple, cost-free process. It won’t take even five minutes, so I will wait for you here and take you to the bank after.”
“You don’t have to worry yourself. I can just walk there.”
“It is fine. It is my job, after all…”
Klaus nodded and turned to Maud, “You stay here, I will be back soon.”
He entered the building where someone was already standing at the door waiting for him.
