Chapter 1215: Heaven Defying Body

The items Klaus needs to form the Heaven Defying Body are now in. It may have cost 150 billion Universe Coins, but Nadia and Yuying managed to get them.

Now, Klaus is seated in a lotus posture, five items hovering before him.

“A Flame Heart Fruit, Blood Heart Flower, Essence Life Stone, Nine-Petal Azure Lotus, and Celestial Dew.”

Klaus noted them down in the order he would have to consume them.

“The fact that I would have to consume all five of these things makes my stomach feel weird.” Klaus didn’t know if this was even survivable.

The heat coming from the Flame Heart Fruit is enough to burn him from the inside out.

However, to cultivate the first form of the Heaven Defying Body, he must first consume this fruit, knowing full well he is going to suffer.

“To cultivate your body into a heaven-defying one, you must first bake it in the pure essence of flame, they say,” Klaus smirked, feeling like the creator of this technique is a masochist.

“If this is just the first stage, then what about the 8 remaining stages left to go?” Klaus took a deep breath and then shut down his mind.

Not all of his 450 minds had recovered after using them to control the dagger that killed the immortal, but enough had recovered to the point that if he were to feel this pain with all, it would be several times more painful.

“All I need to do is take the pain into one mind and lock it down. Later, I will feel it bit by bit.”

Klaus smiled and smugly said, “Who said having more than one mind is madness?”

He gently picked the Flame Heart Fruit and examined it… “Icon, keep me awake no matter what. Also, don’t heal me even if I am at death’s door.”

Klaus nodded and then took a deep breath before putting the fruit in his mouth and swallowing it. The fruit passed through his throat with no obvious changes.

It was like he had merely swallowed candy. For a moment, he let the cool sensation overwhelm his mind, knowing he would feel the pain soon.

However, Klaus didn’t relax, for he knew things that could kill were often things that could make one lower their guard.

Just as he expected, his clothes caught fire and burned, leaving him butt naked.

“AaaarrrggHHH!”

Then came the pain.

His body instantly turned pale red and started cracking, showing visible lava veins that seemed to carry several doses of pain that only seemed to grow with the passing seconds.

Klaus kept screaming, but he sat there like a monk, enduring the pain as his body was cooked from the inside out.

The process is making his baking his body, making him ready for the benefits that will follow soon.

Blood started pouring out of the cracks, but just as it came, it would be instantly burnt away with a sizzle. The heat coming from his body was that strong, and so he could only endure.

Soon, hours passed, and all Klaus could do was grit his teeth and endure. However, he seemed to have stopped screaming.

’I guess locking away one mind didn’t do the trick. In the end, I had to lock 14 minds before I could stop screaming like a degenerate,’ Klaus said to himself, knowing that one of these days, he would have to open up the 14 locked minds, feeling the pains he had locked away.

For now, however, he could only hope that the four remaining treasures would be consumed without much pain.

Klaus remained in the lotus posture for a few more hours before the pain seemed to have calmed. A few more hours later, he began to sense his strength rising.

’It is working.’

He grabbed the ’Blood Heart Flower’ and threw it into his mouth and started chewing… ’Bitter, but at least not painful.’

Klaus suddenly felt his bloodlust rising, killing intent surging as he chewed on the Blood Heart Flower. This flower is said to grow only in places that have seen so much bloodshed.

Many use it to cultivate their killing intent. However, since it is rare, whenever it appears at auction houses and stores, bidding wars break out.

Yuying and Nadia were lucky that the only person they met had less money than they did. But now that Klaus has the flower and he is using it, they can only be happy for him.

Klaus’s bloodlust and killing intent had soon reached a point where his golden eye had turned red.

’Damn, the feeling to go on a rampage is invading my mind now.’

Klaus had to lock one more mind, yet the new one he assigned to the bloodlust was soon consumed. In no time, things became clear to him that he could only allow the process to flow naturally.

Three hours later, Klaus broke through to the Death stage and was now moving close to the Monarch stage. After five more hours, he managed to gain control of his mind.

“That was dangerous,” Klaus said, knowing he came this close to losing his mind.

“Good thing I mastered Intent cultivation in my 4th incarnation.” He sighed.

However, knowing things had to proceed, he grabbed the ’Essence Life Stone’ and swallowed it. This time, a powerful life energy washed through his body, rapidly advancing his cultivation toward the Monarch stage.

There was no pain, just pure healing energy that healed his strained body, all the while causing his rank to soar. In no time, he reached the Monarch stage, making him several times stronger now.

After three more hours had passed, Klaus finally felt the energy had receded.

“The last two must be consumed at the same time.” Klaus took a deep breath and swallowed the ’Nine-Petal Azure Lotus’ and ’Celestial Dew.’

He felt his body freeze when the two items were absorbed.

Suddenly, the world went dark, and Klaus didn’t know where he was. He had passed out, and a cocoon made of white energy enveloped his being.

Klaus felt nothing and only remained in the cocoon for three good weeks. As the days passed, the cocoon grew thicker than before.

It got to the point that, time and time again, runes would appear on it for a few minutes before vanishing into the cocoon.

Eventually, the cocoon cracked, and a handsome Klaus was revealed with thousands of golden runes on his body.

Klaus already had his fair share of tattoos. So now that they were covered with runes, his entire skin looked like it had been tattooed.

Thankfully, the runes vanished a few minutes later. Klaus then slowly opened his eyes, feeling his entire body surging with power.

“Damn, this is too much.”

Klaus didn’t need to check his status page to know he was no Monarch, Nirvana, or even a Core Formation stage warrior.

“Level 7 Empyrean.”

He checked on the seven cores inside his soul sea, and a smile appeared on his face… “I still have more than enough juice to take me to the Immortal stage.”

Talk about good fortune—Klaus had indeed struck it big this time, and it was all thanks to Chaos. He gave him the Heaven Defying Body Refining Art and the Seven God Cores.

Now, all he had to do was cultivate his body, and the abundant energy contained in the seven God Cores would fuel his strength.

’Then there is the true demon core waiting for me to become immortal’

“I will surely pay back a hundredfold one of these days.” Klaus closed his eyes and entered his soul sea. After checking everything there, he opened his eyes and smiled.

“Universe… Here I come.”

He dressed up and went back to make final preparations before leaving.
